- loconet, on 09/06/2008, -7/+76Correction, why _married_ men die sooner?.
We _want_ to die. - bixby1, on 09/06/2008, -2/+63So your sayin' when I'm 85 I'm totally gonna get laid?
- sirjoebob, on 09/06/2008, -4/+41WHY MEN DIE SOONER: WOMEN
- reddikilowatt, on 09/06/2008, -3/+35"Regarding suicide, Korman says that while women typically make more attempts, 'men are much better at completing it.'"
So if you want something done right...
And 8 pages telling me I'm going to die sooner? I don't have time for that! - 222good, on 09/06/2008, -1/+29you'll get to have a 2.2some
- AmyVernon, on 09/06/2008, -1/+25no, you'll be dead.
- terajoule, on 09/06/2008, -3/+22It takes six men to carry a man to his grave, but only one woman to send him there.
- neuromachine, on 09/06/2008, -6/+24Why would I want to live to that age?
I imagine being 85 will be a pain. - inactive, on 09/06/2008, -5/+23After thinking about it, expand the scope of this issue.. Why do boys do worse in school now? Why are there more women in college than men? Why are women having a harder time finding an acceptable husband? Why are women living longer? All these things have a common answer... As Bill Maher brings up briefly from time to time, our society has been feminized beyond belief. Men are no longer allowed to be men. Every step women take forward, is half a step back for men.
Men's behavior and things that were commonplace to be enjoyed have all been regulated and set to be controlled by laws. VAWA has demonized men. Yes, it is intended to protect women, but it empowers them beyond just being equal, it makes them superior. Men get taken away regardless of whatever a woman did in a domestic dispute. Men get screwed in divorce and family court. Men get to be the scape goat for all the world's problems although I'd like to refer all you ladies to the fact that women have led countries long before you were alive and you are not a pretty little snowflake that will make everything better with your girl power.
Women only care about the deficiencies in men now because "What, you mean they aren't big strong robots that I can abuse all I want and they'll be there to take my *****?" "You mean just because education has been tailored for girl's learning styles and that Suzie is doing better in class that this will somehow mean that she won't be readily able to find a higher wage earner husband to marry?" Aww, poor babies. You can't have it both ways. We can't be your knights in shining armor in your prime for being husbands or being your punching bags in old age to stand by you if you continue to play the victimization card all your life.
Why the hell would men want to perpetuate their lives with these things front and center? I'll be happy when it's my time to go.
Enjoy the time alone. - FDDIcent, on 09/06/2008, -7/+22Who would want to be that old?
Just look at McCain and he's only 72 - WoollyMittens, on 09/06/2008, -0/+13Now women work as hard as men, I expect their average to drop as well. Stress, is not good for you.
So when I asked this Australian fellow: "Are you afraid to die?", I was puzzled to hear him answer: "No, but I was afraid yesterdie." - waydee, on 09/06/2008, -1/+13I am not frightened of dying, any time will do, I dont mind. Why should I be frightened of dying?, theres no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime.
- inactive, on 09/06/2008, -1/+11...Women attempt suicide because it is a "call for help" and undoubtably they are wired and motivated to seek help out.. Even if they are crazy and psycho. Men commit suicide more often because they become the dregs of society and marginalized in all facets of life over the long term.
- tkotam, on 09/06/2008, -0/+10Of course, get laid by 85 year old chicks that is. I am sure you're looking forward to that.
- inactive, on 09/06/2008, -0/+8No, I don't think you should wait.
- inactive, on 09/06/2008, -1/+82.2 to 1!!!
Can't wait to be a silver fox. - zephyr42, on 09/06/2008, -0/+7The crazy keeps him going.
- cowsgonemadd3, on 09/06/2008, -0/+6NO WAY MAN. Then you can get that 1% off your purchases or taxes thanks to the government!
- theOster, on 09/06/2008, -0/+6but imagine the advances in tech in the next 30, 40, 50+ years. i'm honestly expecting to live to 120 pretty easily (32 now). my grandfather lived to be 95, but when he was born in 1912 what was the life expectancy? i'm sure it wasn't 95. and the gap will only get wider as we move forward.
- xjp61tp, on 09/06/2008, -3/+9Actually, it is funny.
- 12916studios, on 09/06/2008, -0/+6***** you. I lost.
- ell0bo, on 09/06/2008, -2/+7Yup... they slowly kill us and make us want to kill ourselves. Sounds about right to my experiences.
- Jerryskid02, on 09/06/2008, -6/+11Because we have to put up with women. Those crazy ass ladies.
- ChileanGoD, on 09/06/2008, -0/+5Exoskeletons will be widely available by that time. Prepare yourself for the horde of old people powertriping in their robotic suits.
- beninni3, on 09/06/2008, -0/+5and studies show married men are happier overall than single men...
- inactive, on 09/06/2008, -1/+6Wirerat.... you have issues... EMO issues.
I'm planning on living for a long time... because life is an enjoyable thing.
Go out and get some sunshine. - Tippx, on 09/06/2008, -1/+6grim reaper is sexist
- paker, on 09/06/2008, -0/+5My sister started smoking at 11. When anyone from my family said anything about quiting she would always say, "you have to die from something". At 53 smoking and the rest of her life style has led to 3 operations, her back, neck and a shoulder replacment, not to mention the lesions growing on her lungs.
My mother is 83 and has never had an operation in her life and I haven't either, so live you life as you see fit, but if you don't take care of yourself you'll pay big time when you get older. - hutectro, on 09/06/2008, -3/+7Dieing is what Men do when they Retire --- Woman Retire when they get Married
- kd420, on 09/06/2008, -2/+6I'd rather live my life as I want to and die whenever it happens. Quality over quantity. I knew a guy in university so careful about his health, never had a beer, would *never* drink tap water (even for cooking pasta), and always played sports. I can't judge, but personally I'd rather exchange some years off my life, when I'm old and decrepit, for a little fun right now.
- bobbi21, on 09/06/2008, -1/+4Man, someone is bitter. While I agree with some of your points (if you reduce the bile by a couple of pegs), woman are still discriminated against in the workplace. They still make 60 something cents for every man. While the feminist movement has done some stupid things which just reverse the discrimination (divorce is 1. how in the world do you deserve 1/2 of the guys assets when you've been with him for like a year? Get 1/2 of the difference of your incomes made during the time you were together. Makes more sense and still seems fair to woman), there is still a lot of discrimination. They've just targeted the wrong areas making it doubly unequal.
And I dont know any feminists angry that they can't find a man that earns more than them. (I would think even saying that would get you kicked out of the feminist club)
If you belief this stronger about your point u should want to live and try to fight it. Woman complained for years to get where they are. If you want to change things you have to do the same and not just lay down and die. - xptoast, on 09/06/2008, -0/+3Why is an ex-wife sending food to you? She trying to kill you off with tainted cookies?
- unsupersam, on 09/06/2008, -0/+3Because we drive faster and drink more?
- bobbi21, on 09/06/2008, -2/+5Hate to be one of those people but married men live longer than single men (who am I kidding I love to be one of those people).
- inactive, on 09/06/2008, -0/+3I can't wait!
- inactive, on 09/06/2008, -0/+3Face it, men take far more dangerous risks than women do. Add to that the macho "I don't need no doctor" attitude and you have a shorter life expectancy.
- BruceAnderson, on 09/06/2008, -1/+4It sounds funnier coming from Jackie Mason, but then so does everything.
- inactive, on 09/06/2008, -1/+4and be happy about it.
- bobbi21, on 09/06/2008, -0/+3It's all about moderation. You can live an enjoyable life and still be healthy. (and 70% of bottled water is just as clean as tap water anyway. Of course if you're purposely avoiding tap water, you'd probably be buying the expensive 30%)
- inactive, on 09/06/2008, -0/+3...Better hope you have viagra around.. because to nature, you're just a rotting carcass.
- cgeezy, on 09/06/2008, -0/+3Also, who's to say that not drinking tap water and being concerned about your well being is "not fun"? For people who want to eat right and exercise and stay health, that is fun to them. It also improves their quality of life along the way. I think that mentality that not drinking or smoking or eating like ***** is not fun and you should live a little is sort of backwards and oversimplified.
- CCmachined, on 09/06/2008, -0/+3hilarious that any digg article comparing some aspect of men and women just degenerates into blind sexism...
well yeah okay... Women? ***** me. - inactive, on 09/06/2008, -1/+4I don't need viagra, I got yoga.
On command. - Ramenboy005, on 09/06/2008, -0/+3because everyone just lost the game right now
- electrosheep, on 09/07/2008, -0/+2Wow, that was all highly exaggerated.
- ovset, on 09/06/2008, -0/+2Dude, get a grip. Not all women are like you described, just like how not all men are *****. Cynicism is good in small slices, but you're stuffing the whole pie down your throat.
- diversionmary, on 09/06/2008, -0/+2lrn2your/you're
- inactive, on 09/06/2008, -1/+3Well I love ***** and ass, and I'm willing to die for it.
- kickass911, on 09/06/2008, -1/+3anyone notice that this was written by a woman.
- Jeelzebub, on 09/07/2008, -0/+2Ooh, you're a witty one, aren't you? Buried.
