- stutimandal, on 08/12/2008, -8/+48Two wrong assumptions:
1) Diggers sleep at night.
2) Diggers sleep with a partner. - tubbsthezombie, on 08/12/2008, -4/+24CPAPs kick ass.
- inactive, on 08/12/2008, -0/+16Please show this to all those snoring people to aid their miserable co-sleepers!
- ravage86, on 08/12/2008, -0/+14I have no bed partner you insensitive clod!
Wait, wrong site. - jd33, on 08/12/2008, -0/+11snore.
- glucoseboy, on 08/12/2008, -0/+10Earplugs work really well. Cheap and effective. Worn them for years.
- MWeather, on 08/12/2008, -3/+13Buried for using the term "bed partner".

- Dexter77, on 08/12/2008, -1/+10Simplest solution is to stop being fat. I snored a lot when my BMI was 26, now after 25kg (55lb) I don't snore at all.
- indochris609, on 08/12/2008, -0/+8Dugg for the "Single Page" option at the bottom.
- 5xSTUN, on 08/12/2008, -3/+11A cat doesn't count as a partner?
- harmil, on 08/12/2008, -1/+9But the article is worthless. It's just an encapsulation of the traditional wisdom, much of which is moot. For example, it suggests sleeping on your side instead of your back, but people shift positions many times every night while sleeping, so you have no control over how you will end up at any given time.
The primary observation is that weight loss helps. Well, duh, but that's not really one of those "you shouldn't be suffering with snoring" sorts of observations. The blurb suggests simple solutions and the article really has none (as anyone who has researched snorning and other sleep-related respiration issues could have told you).
Edit: some things that you CAN do, though: 1) don't eat for 2 hours before bed 2) do drink water within 1/2 hour of bed 3) do stretch your legs and abdominal muscles before bed, though a full workout would be even better, some people can't sleep after a workout 4) if your partner says that your snoring sounds like gasping or choking or involves periods of strangled attempts to breath, go directly to your doctor and demand a sleep study. - inactive, on 08/12/2008, -0/+8My ex used to kick or elbow me. That worked fine.
- bffoley, on 08/12/2008, -0/+8Dont forget kicking people from across the room
- freezerburn666, on 08/12/2008, -0/+8i dont think my cat minds too much
- ketchup923, on 08/12/2008, -1/+9When my bf snores, I kick him. Problem solved.
- Namaha, on 08/12/2008, -0/+8Oh *****
- LeRenard, on 08/12/2008, -0/+7The first time I used my CPAP at home I had a dream, the first one I'd had in about 10 years. I woke up scared s**tless, feeling like I was tripping.
- cawpin, on 08/12/2008, -0/+7Good job, it forwards you to the regular page.
- wassim2k, on 08/12/2008, -0/+6We should be able to digg the article, and bury the submitter.
- jeffity, on 08/12/2008, -0/+5I've been prescribed a sleep study to see if I need this. It's hard to function lately.
- FallenTurtles, on 08/12/2008, -0/+5I recite lines from Starship Troopers when I sleep. Can we fix that?
"The only good bug is a dead bug!" - electricwaffles, on 08/12/2008, -4/+9those breathe right strips work wonders
- shutaro, on 08/12/2008, -0/+5Weed... Is there anything it can't do?
- BDOUG, on 08/12/2008, -0/+5Like the article says, there is no "one size fits all" solution. CPAP works for some, BiPAP for others, dieting for others, etc.
- SteelFrog, on 08/12/2008, -0/+5Thank god I stumbled onto CPAPs - those headaches were getting pretty damn brutal.
- XenoSNK, on 08/12/2008, -0/+5I've been there a few times.
... to insult people... yeah. - wassim2k, on 08/12/2008, -0/+4I went to two. The first night they monitored me. The second night they hooked me up to a CPAP. They woke me up after 5 hours of sleep, but I felt like I had slept for 10 hours. It felt great and made me regret not doing it earlier. There was a power failure one night and I couldn't use my CPAP. I woke up feeling like crap. I can't believe that I was ever able to function without one. Surgery is an extreme alternative, but a comfortable CPAP mask that suits your needs is quick and easy. My health insurance covered all the costs, except for a co-pay for the sleep study ($500). Just do it and forget about how silly all the wires make you look; you'll be happy that you did.
- rheaume, on 08/12/2008, -0/+4It doesn't kick ass when its hooked up to your preemie's face :(
- matthewf01, on 08/12/2008, -0/+4witchcraft!
- naner, on 08/12/2008, -0/+4No joke - I think the author was paid by the word...
- leerayIG88, on 08/12/2008, -0/+4omg....damian7. I didn't know that place was real.
Thanks. - djdavetrouble, on 08/12/2008, -3/+7I was a very loud snorer and about 6 months after I began yoga, not only could I touch the floor again, but my snoring disappeared. Yoga encourages vigorous nose breathing, and it cleared me right out. I am also in the best shape of my life, and can do all kinds of things that I never thought I'd be able to do : headstands, forearm stands, handstands.
- borez, on 08/12/2008, -2/+6"Snoring is like a smoke alarm," Pelayo said. "You can disconnect the smoke alarm, but still have the fire."
OK... if you say so. - diadem2, on 08/12/2008, -0/+4You are a horrible, horrible person
- Namaha, on 08/12/2008, -0/+4You should sleep with me instead. I don't snore at all! No kicking necessary!
- bloominoctober, on 08/12/2008, -1/+4I've tried everything to stop snoring. My fiancee leaves the room at times because it gets so bad and she gets tired of kicking me. I've heard of a procedure where they inject rattlesnake venom into your pallette to stop the vibrations. I may consider it (though the thought of using snake venom to cure my snoring is kind of scary).

That's a great one! - stormkrow, on 08/12/2008, -2/+5Trust me my wife and I have tried everything. The ONLY thing that works is a mouthguard like the one from PureSleep although the lesser cheaper ones are just as adequate.
Anything else is a waste of time and money. - angrycat, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3My cat snores :(
- ethanpack, on 08/12/2008, -1/+4indochris above you nailed it. Click the "Single Page" link button.
- Jsmuli2, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3I use those breathe right strips, they work really well.
- illegalseagull, on 08/12/2008, -0/+3No, not really. Weed is one of the things that makes my "bed partner" snore.
- glucoseboy, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2Snake venom???? Holy moly that is totally scary. Go to your local drug store, pick up some foam earplugs for like $4. Give them to her. That was the first thing I did when my wife and I started dating, she is the snorer, not me! :-)
- Pusod, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2i am a chronic snorer and my wife sleeps in another room. i feel sad.
- stretta, on 08/12/2008, -3/+5Weed. Yes, really.

Yes. It's really that good. - adiyo011, on 08/12/2008, -0/+2I snored a lot but after drinking Soy milk for 6 months, it got a lot better.
