Most children who get infections because of the foreskin it is because the parent pulled it back to clean it. Talk to your doctor.

See, my dad was born in 1921. And like most of his friends his age, he was not circumcised. When they all joined to fight in WWII, many of them got circumcised, like my uncle.
He told my dad that he stopped getting infections and that it was easier to clean, but most importantly he didn't lose any sensation.
When my dad was 33, he got circumcised. He told me that the sensation was no different for him. What he said was different is that if the woman got a little dry, having the foreskin was good because you're ***** the skin of your dick instead of friction in her pussy - and yes, even though I am paraphrasing, that is for the most part how he said it. Which is why I will never forget it.
Anyway, he had a ton of friends who were circumcised later in life either for the military or for health reasons. I'd say 9 out of 10 of them said the sensation was no worse without it.
I mean, we can quote statistics all day, but in the end the way you know is asking people who had it done as adults in-depth. The ones who get it done seem pretty happy with their decision.
I didn't have my first two boys circumcised. The oldest has a mole at the end of his foreskin and now he's a teenager and doesn't want to go through with it, even though he should. Friction on a raised mole is a recipe for disaster. My second boy I still was against circumcising - he ended up having severe phimosis and was circumcised right before his 2nd birthday as it was medically indicated. It was traumatic to him at that age. It even stunted his walking.
We decided that the risks were too great and had our third boy circumcised.

I personally think that it is a ritual that was more usefull 100 years ago than it is today. But then again I hear reports that people circumsized have a smaller chance of catching std's than other. Regardless though the best way around that is just to use protection and I would hate to force something on my child that he had no decision in making that really is not that big of a deal.
