- YouGotDugg, on 07/21/2008, -4/+11Very Cool. I thought Lasix was the ultimate answer.

- louiebaur, on 07/21/2008, -1/+6That is great i wear contacts so I am going to research this further.
- chungmaster, on 07/22/2008, -0/+5Man I hope this stuff comes soon. I'm wearing CRT lenses right now. What they do is reshape my cornia as I sleep, so I only have to wear them at night. Then in the morning I can take them off, which is useful because I play a lot of sports and i get hit in the eye there a lot. Wearing contacts or glasses or would hurt.
The bad thing is that I have to wear them at night or else I can't see, which kinda sucks if I were to pass out or am just too damn tired to move and just fall asleep. - AmyVernon, on 07/21/2008, -0/+4i keep waiting for the newest tech so i can get rid of my glasses. i guess i'll wait a little longer. this sounds better than lasik
- jggube, on 07/21/2008, -4/+8I hate contact lenses but I have to wear them since I broke my glasses a month ago. I'm getting used to it, but it feels like there's always something in my eyes and because I work on the computer almost all day, at the end of the day I just want to rip my eyes out. But I guess since apparently it's saving my vision... I'll make an effort to get used to it.
- CobaltBlue, on 07/22/2008, -1/+4...applying electrically conductive, antibiotic nanosilver particles to contact lenses,...
After reading that line, I had to check to make sure I wasn't reading an onion article. - inactive, on 07/22/2008, -0/+2This would finally convince me to switch to contacts from glasses. I wish my glasses would actually be therapeutic instead of just corrective.
- Pinkertinkle, on 07/22/2008, -0/+2Hey UC Davis Ophthalmology, that's close to home.
- cadmiumpaint, on 07/22/2008, -0/+2I hate contacts....i'll never wear them. hate the idea of touching your eyeball everyday. i don't know how people can get used to it.
- jaybol, on 07/22/2008, -0/+2i tried only once to put a contact in for a halloween costume and i empathize with contact-wearers.
- inactive, on 07/22/2008, -0/+2i wear them to, it really depends on the brand, try acuvue hydra clear , sometimes i think i have lost them but they are in my eyes. Cant tell they are there really, i have some color ones, they suck, uncomfortable
- shagg187, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1Funny this page shows up in front of digg for I'm going to undergo LASIK Zypotix procedure in 8 hours! :P
- JrGhoull, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1bah? will it help prevent again floaters? i have floaters...and they suck...lesson learned...dont get floaters.
- skiner24, on 07/28/2008, -0/+1Lasik doesn't work on eyes that have had a detached retina. I hope this works.
- placidified, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1"Right now the contact lenses, made from polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), are a close cousin to modern-day contact lenses. They have an eight-by-eight grid nanosilver lines that provide 64 pressure points. Each point independently monitors eye pressure and relays information to a computer that records the pressure inside the eye."
1. Where is the transmitter ?
2. Power Source ? - beauley, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1Ever since Louis Pasteur, whenever we got an earache as a child, strep throat, or other infection, we were usually given an antibiotic to make us better. As an adult, we learn that given all the benefits of this cure-all, there are some negative aspects of using antibiotics. Even now, as I have always been taught that Omega oils lubricate our inner mechanics, probiotics protect them from the deadly invaders.

Antibiotics, are They Cures or Silent Killers? - iBenzin, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1UCD :D
- BAFrayd, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1You write as if you have a choice whether you get them or not. Most people will eventually get floaters. It's a part of aging, a wear and tear thing. They could also be indicative of something much more serious though, like a retinal detachment.
- krnldmp, on 07/22/2008, -1/+1Aren't they still trying to figure out how to keep this ***** from leaching out of socks and killing the world? You say you want me to stick it in my eye?
- inactive, on 07/22/2008, -1/+1Screw LASIK. I want nanosilver!
- topbees, on 06/03/2009, -0/+0If there is balanced Replacement schedule (how often your lenses are discarded) and Wearing schedule how often you remove your contacts (but don't necessarily discard and replace them) then the branded contact lenses referred by http://www.contactlensesvision.com on Daily wear will help you to save your vision...
- IG64, on 07/22/2008, -0/+0My dad was mowing the lawn a long time ago and something hit his eye and broke his contact (one of the old glass ones). That might have saved his vision, at least for one eye. Wear your safety glasses.
- inactive, on 07/22/2008, -1/+1Why ask me?
- iSeeUToo, on 09/12/2008, -0/+0What is the point in this? Just do some eye exercises and correct your vision! (or a laser surgery, if you'd prefer to pay, rather than do vision-corrective eye exercises)
- afergusen, on 02/26/2009, -0/+0I have been wearing glasses since the age of ten and have always been teased about them. My parents never let me have contacts and I just recently bought my first pair (after getting the prescription from my Optometrist) on http://www.contact.com I will never go back to wearing glasses ever again. I wish I would have had these when I was ten!

- tresvold, on 07/22/2008, -0/+0where was this when i got contacts like 10 years ago?
- ncapone, on 07/22/2008, -3/+2Abby...Normal!
