- nondescrypt, on 10/11/2007, -6/+136I find title of this post is misleading... How can I smoke more pot than myself ??
: ) woohoo, Canada for the Win !!!!! - WSTONEMAN, on 10/11/2007, -15/+100Yeah Canada rules. another reason why it is the best country. digg me down i dont care, but we are better then the US in many ways.
- zyl0x, on 10/11/2007, -4/+61And yet our murder rate is so much lower..
- arono, on 10/11/2007, -4/+57I was hoping for a breakdown by province. From my Vansterdam perspective, BC must be the winner.
- Boshow, on 10/11/2007, -10/+63I refuse to beleive Jamaica is not in the top 5.
- davewashere, on 10/11/2007, -20/+72Marijuana has clearly ravaged the Canadian landscape. Has anyone been up there lately? It's just hoard after hoard of zombie-like rapists, looking for their next score or their next victim. We need stiffer penalties for marijuana use, lest we become more like the Canadian wasteland.
- GGzah, on 10/11/2007, -9/+48We're #1!... no wait... We're #5!... no wait... what were we talking about again?
- cryptomystic, on 10/11/2007, -3/+41And they have free health care? wtf?
America sucks i'm moving to Canada. - cryptomystic, on 10/11/2007, -2/+33America is Number 1!!!.....in making wars, murders, rapes, burning of the bill of rights, prison population, rigged elections...
- CraigJ, on 10/11/2007, -7/+38So that explains why Canada has more donut shops per capata then the rest of the world!
- Speciou5, on 10/11/2007, -1/+32I'm surprised how this wasn't spun to involve the complete moral decay of society and how everyone's children is doomed.
Oh wait, Fox News didn't report this. - Battleloser, on 10/11/2007, -2/+32%16 my ass. from purely personal observations, I'd estimate it's more like %75
- MikeyMoose, on 01/30/2009, -6/+34Yes, and that's why our dollar is surging and yours is sinking...
- Malarie, on 10/11/2007, -2/+29The average Canadian smokes 1 joint for every 40 hot-dogs the averagwe american eats.
- xrenjrvt, on 10/11/2007, -3/+30Yeah, I was molested by those pot smoking zombie hippies last week, they were going through my pockets looking for food, but halfway through they got distracted and started a drum circle, luckily I was able to escape before more showed up.
- thedrooling, on 10/11/2007, -5/+314 times as much as the world's average, thats dope....literally
- nmckinlay, on 10/11/2007, -0/+23I think you are a loser, and you still don't do drugs.
- ruslanr, on 10/11/2007, -1/+22Canadian pot is reaaaally good. One of the best.
- ChileanGoD, on 10/11/2007, -0/+19Vive les poteux du Quebec sti!
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+20Because I, and others, are too stoned to muster up the energy to go kill someone.
- MauMichael, on 10/11/2007, -0/+16Somewhat like how people who wanted to drink during Prohibition, drank.
A country should represent the collective will of it's people. If no one wants a law enforced, it shouldn't be a law. - SparQy, on 10/11/2007, -6/+22Mexicans eat more rice than you!
Italians eat more pasta than you!
French drink more wine than you!
Of course we smoke more pot than you. Duh. - qwerty1024, on 10/11/2007, -0/+16Why kill when you can chill
- kinglenster, on 10/11/2007, -4/+19I note that Spain is top of the Cocaine use charts followed by England. I can only guess that is because so many English go there on their holidays.
- youdlike2know, on 10/11/2007, -1/+15I've lived in Canada and Europe.. Canadians are seriously chronic compared to other countries.. I'd say almost half the people I met smoked pot, way more than any other country.. but the Brits are the most off their heads on everything else.. The amount of booze & blow people do in the UK is insane..
- ta10n, on 10/11/2007, -0/+14I'm Chinese (and Canadian), and I've recently visited the Mexicans. There's no way they eat more rice than me. Other than that continue.... back to your pot.
- Azio, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13When a currency decreases in value by almost 40% over five years, it is not a "fluctuation".
- honkeybot5k, on 10/11/2007, -1/+13Yes, because happiness and quality of life is measure by how good a worker bee you are!
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12Dugg as accurate.
- Battleloser, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12This is you caring enough to post about you not caring.
- Fracture98, on 10/11/2007, -2/+14I got pulled over at a Checkstop (drinking and driving check in Canada). Went like this:
Anything to drink tonight, or any open liquor in the car?
No liquor, but I've got some weed in the glove compartment.
May I see it? Ok. That's not much. Don't smoke it and drive, that's considered driving while intoxicated. Have a nice weekend.
That's not unusual, either, based on similar stories from friends. - in2deep, on 10/11/2007, -3/+14Canadians have the right view towards life...do what makes you happy!!
- banthis, on 10/11/2007, -0/+11No wonder they are so friendly...
- Tarnum, on 10/11/2007, -0/+11A place to stand, a place to grow... http://youtube.com/watch?v=2OEdBsRYD8I
- BobsYourUncle, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10Do you even understand how much ***** that would cause at the airport? "Did you pack your bags yourself?" "No." "AGAINST THE WALL!" Offer to drive him or something.
- Battleloser, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9We're a marijuana exporter.
- BurtBoon, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9I have no doubt about the high ranking that BC would have, but I'm pretty sure about the fact that Quebec would finish ex-aequo for the first place! If you walk around downtown Montréal at this time of the year, every five minutes you'll walk by someone smoking weed right there on the boardwalk!
In Texas, we would be sent to the death row! - jbreiding, on 10/26/2009, -4/+13mmmm, BC Kind...
- cannonstar, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9It's not decriminalized, the conservatives killed the decriminalization bill as soon as they came into the office but it flew under the radar of mainstream media, so it's understandable that most Canadians thought it was decriminalized since it seemed like a sure thing at the time. They did a story the other day about this and they said the pot possession busts had rised so high since 2002 because of the confusion over the decriminalization bill.
- EdmontonEh, on 10/11/2007, -3/+12we don't want you yank!!
- xrenjrvt, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9Exchange rates are mostly based on expected future inflation, an effect of a productive and expanding economy, there are other factors but that is the most significant. The fact that our currency has appreciated in relation to the US is an indication of the relative value the world puts on our economy. More people are investing in Canadian goods and services, therefore buying more Canadian dollars and putting upwards pressure on the exchange rate. Now apologise to spankr.
- Schmidtopolis, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Nah, that's just because Tim Hortons managed to establish itself as "Canadain Culture". Go figure, name a donut shop after a hockey player, and people flock to it like it were the beer store.
- Battleloser, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Regardless of how the survey is done, ask any Canadian and they'll tell you %16 is way to low.
- stinkypyper, on 10/11/2007, -5/+13As a Canadian I can tell you this is absolutely true, and we are not talking teenagers here, we are talking middle aged professionals who love to have a toke. If you think that is bad you should see how much Cocaine Canadians do, that stuff has become a regular part of Saturday night to a lot of people here.
- honkeybot5k, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9But do they LOVE FREEDOM more than us? I sure don't see any terrorists attacking them!
- diablo75, on 10/11/2007, -7/+15Yes, this is but another reason I think I might just have to move to Canada before another case of "blowback" or Patriot Act or Bushism makes my day.
- andburn1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8This is me being a llama. *is a llama*
- sparkleyflowers, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10I'm willing to bet that those figures are low. How many people in those countries use drugs but don't want to admit it? I know that here, in the Pacific NW (Vancouver, USA - to be specific), pot smokers abound... but getting most of them to admit it to some official looking person might be kinda tricky. Perhaps we're just so close to Canada we're experiencing a spill over effect.
- thomash, on 10/11/2007, -3/+11The Netherlands has a surprisingly low percentage of people consuming cannabis.
Another argument for legalizing drugs. People learn to use substances responsibly. - qwerty1024, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9Oh no you offended wiggles.
Seriously, how could you do that to poor wiggles after his bling patriotism went through so much recently -
