- MattFid, on 06/13/2008, -0/+17Now if I could just remember where I put my technology.
- AtomBoyz, on 06/12/2008, -1/+12Technology has also caused information overload. Sometimes my brain feels like a puddle of mush. But I'm still addicted to the constant flow of news and information...
- inactive, on 06/13/2008, -0/+7I think I remember what you did there
- eliasg, on 06/13/2008, -0/+6Storing all your contacts' phone numbers in your cellphone makes it easy to forget their numbers. There's a lot of phone numbers that I don't know, and I'd be lost if I didn't have my phone with me. I pretty much just know the most important numbers, but that's about it.
On the other hand, even though my wife has all her contacts in her cellphone, she still dials-out most numbers she calls. I always made fun of her, but in the end she has the last laugh, because she knows all the important numbers she dials, and I don't know as many. - captaindigger, on 06/13/2008, -1/+6Depends if your one of the 9 out of 10 people that use it for porn.
- rahulbrown, on 06/12/2008, -0/+4The short answer is: yes! There was a great article in Wired recently about a small program that effectively cracked the code in human memory:
http://www.wired.com/medtech/health/magazine/16-05 ... - austin63, on 06/13/2008, -1/+4yes, it's called Google.
- msjewelfish, on 06/13/2008, -0/+3I don't know if I agree so much with the technology angle, but according to Dr. Bruce Ames, a man with too many awards to list, has learned how to make brains younger and bodies function better. Before you call me, or him an absolute nut-job, look up his studies in Discover and Scientific American magazine online archives, where they reference the 22 or so double-blind studies, that I actually read a large portion of. Amazing. All it takes is 500 mg. of Acetyl L-Carnitine and 200 mg of Alpha Lipoic Acid twice a day to repair the mitochondria. It certainly worked on old mice, and it's working on elderly humans. Bruce ain't making a penny off this, you know. Just the satisfaction of a job well done. Fight on, Bruce baby. Fight on!!!
- HairyFotr, on 06/13/2008, -0/+3"According to West, one test to assess an individual's optimal thinking time is the Morningness-Eveningness Scale"
That scale is pure amazingness... - SoundJudgment, on 06/13/2008, -0/+3http://www.revfad.com/flip.html

- verkon, on 06/13/2008, -1/+3Ever heard of post-its? They're technology and they help your memory.
- leerayIG88, on 06/13/2008, -0/+2I'm a robot. (does the robot)
- diggdowner, on 06/13/2008, -0/+2I've started making flash cards in video format, so with my PSP (and possibly an iPhone) I can study several decks without having to carry actual physical cards. Kinda makes me want to go back to school...
- inactive, on 06/13/2008, -0/+2a digital image library is an import tool for artists, but is it memory? I say yes
- inactive, on 06/13/2008, -0/+2What was the question again ??
- Barackalypse, on 06/13/2008, -0/+2What a stupid question, technology will eventually be capable of accomplishing anything that isn't physically impossible or financially impractical.
- inactive, on 06/13/2008, -0/+2i was about to read this article but now i dont remember =/
- palehorse864, on 06/13/2008, -0/+2Yes it can, just be prepared to dump your childhood memories and have the yakuza chasing you.
- Scotty87, on 06/13/2008, -0/+2ever since you could store numbers on cell phones I haven't been able to remember a number... not even my GFs ....
- IG64, on 06/13/2008, -1/+2Video games probably help our memory, and that's what counterbalances it. That's a completely unscientific assumption, but it sounds right.
- JJMickelsen, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1Nutrazon can help with memory!
Compare your product to ours. Can you demonstrate your product to have results in less than 2 minutes. Xango, Zrii, Mona Vie, Vemma, Vibe can't show results like this product called Nutrazon with over 10 years of research behind it and the only product in the world with this new technology that you can show results from the very first sip. That has never been done in our industry.

ps. this article is waaay to long.. and a little bonkers. - burjzyntski, on 06/13/2008, -0/+1Ever since I've used a cellphone to store numbers in, my need & ability to memorize numbers has decreased...

- selge, on 06/13/2008, -0/+1In addition to msjewelfish's observations above, reading a good hard to read college text book now and then will strengthen the memory long term.
- selge, on 06/13/2008, -0/+1And in addition to msjewelfish's observations, I believe reading one hard to read college text book once a quarter is very good at strengthening the memory, due to the stress of thinking about what you're reading.
- Nenb, on 06/13/2008, -1/+1Technology has improved my memory tremendously: Things I used technology to remember years ago are still there just like when I created the memory. For example my journals and photos.
- msjewelfish, on 06/13/2008, -0/+0For those of us who are mere mortals, what the heck is the "Morningness-Eveningness Scale"? I'd seriously like to know if this is real or if my leg is getting longer.
- Nenb, on 06/13/2008, -0/+0Storing them there makes you remember more since you do have to limit your self to the memory in your brain.
