- Androfire, on 12/14/2007, -0/+8What if I have a fear of success?
- urubos, on 12/14/2007, -0/+6 I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain. - Taikun, on 12/14/2007, -1/+5I'm happy to see that the title of this story is not "6 WAYS TO HACK YOUR FEAR!"
- anjamerret, on 12/14/2007, -3/+6Some great points made.
- smurf22, on 12/14/2007, -0/+3Dugg for not using the title: 6 HACKS TO DEFLATE YOUR SELF-BUSINESS FEARS!
- OfficialJoe, on 12/14/2007, -0/+3Now all you need to add is the maniacal "MUHAHAHAHA...I'lll take over the WORLD!" bit and this would make perfect sense.
- imacashew, on 12/14/2007, -0/+2You're not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet. You're not you ***** khakis. You're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world
- imacashew, on 12/14/2007, -0/+2Don't waste time on Digg?
- manicallday, on 12/14/2007, -0/+2Remember everyone has their own vice. It's just a matter of finding and then exploiting it.
- maxyRO, on 12/14/2007, -0/+2I could have bet the article is trying to sell a book.
- OfficialJoe, on 12/14/2007, -1/+3I was too afraid that the article may be right. So I gave up reading it even before I clicked.
- mikehill33, on 12/14/2007, -0/+2Stupid. From the poorly written summary to the entire article.
- inactive, on 12/14/2007, -3/+5i just cannot believe that "drink 5 daiquiris" was not one of the steps. buried as inaccurate...
- FAKKU, on 12/14/2007, -0/+2All you need to do is watch anime. Incredibly masculine anime.
- Farticus, on 12/17/2007, -0/+1You have nothing to worry about.
- shauncorleone, on 12/14/2007, -1/+2Quite simply put:
"Action cures fear. Indecision, postponement, on the other hand, fertilize fear." - David J. Schwartz
Read 'The Magic of Thinking Big', a book linked from that site and highly recommended by Tim Ferriss in 'The 4-Hour Workweek', also listed in the Must Read section. - imacashew, on 12/14/2007, -1/+2Thanks for this...this got me remotivated to get back on a great product idea I've had for a long time.
- askjoe, on 12/14/2007, -0/+1I've read a gazillion books on subjects like this.....Experience has taught me that persistence and tenacity trump all others. Ever read the book "Think and Grow Rich?" Guess what that "one thing" is/was?
- Ecrivaine33, on 12/18/2007, -0/+1Great advice for anyone, because I believe few of us escape ever feeling these fears to some extent.
- inactive, on 12/14/2007, -0/+1In other words: ignore reality, logic and factual experience and just pretend you can.
Oh, and don't think of the "how" just randomly do ***** until you get what you want. Good plan. - zip000, on 12/14/2007, -1/+2What if I can't find the motivation to read the article. I'm crap at being motivated :-/
- kwamaking, on 12/15/2007, -0/+1Get a load off?
I was thinking something entirely different while reading that, and i was nodding my head for the co-worker, significant other, and everything up to the "unload your thoughts on them" and then i disagreed.
shame. - thewump, on 12/14/2007, -0/+1Even better, read "Busting Loose from the Money Game" It's finance centric, but is ALL about dealing with your fears ( and is based on Quantum physics ).
- Spoomeister, on 12/14/2007, -0/+1FTA: "You are divine, you are precious and you have it within yourself to fulfill your heart’s deepest desires."
I think I just threw up in my mouth a little. - bombachas, on 12/14/2007, -0/+1I'm glad this wasn't titled "Six Self-Defeating Fear Hacks."
- mwdcodeninja, on 12/14/2007, -0/+1I would read the article but I'm afraid that nothing they suggest would help me.
- jaxcs, on 12/14/2007, -0/+1Dune?
- vwvan, on 12/14/2007, -2/+2Dugg just for
Do 20 jumping-jacks while singing happy birthday. - askjoe, on 12/14/2007, -1/+1Great points .....persistence and tenacity trump all others. The best way to deflate fear is to know you always have other opportunities and not put too much emphasis on anything.
- aniescier, on 12/14/2007, -1/+1If I'm not my mind, who am I?
- the0ther, on 12/14/2007, -1/+1if you love money more than anything else in the world, this is the article for you.
- inactive, on 12/16/2007, -0/+0One statement that I’m learning to use is “Thank you for sharing”, taught by T. Harv Eker. For everytime your little voice came out, representing your fear, doubt and worry, just thank them and shut them. And don’t be controlled by them.
Another insights I got from Harv Eker’s book is that rich people making action while poor people still preparing. That’s so true as what you said in analysis paralysis, when we see opportunities, we splash it with all our negativity, our excuses of not having this and that, and at the end we’re not doing it at all. - funepets, on 01/08/2008, -0/+0Totally agree with you. I really liked the article and hope to put it to use this year.
- kareema78, on 01/06/2008, -0/+0 Thanks!! I am dealing with other people who get deflated and I get frustrated trying to figure out what can I do to pump them up? It helps to have some guide lines not only to understand its not my fault but also to know where to begin.
- artsyave, on 12/14/2007, -1/+1but if you actually read it.. you'll see that there is no selling of a book.. but simply a sharing of experience. :)
- jonathannelson, on 12/14/2007, -2/+1this isn't such a bad thing mate ;)
- raymond888, on 12/14/2007, -2/+1The unconscious fear.
- ilikemyrealname, on 12/14/2007, -2/+1This just may have saved my life. I read it like the bible. We all need articles like this to help pick us back up again. Very awesome!
- Laurie1, on 12/14/2007, -3/+2An interesting way to look at all of this!
- BoneheadFarker, on 12/14/2007, -2/+0I've seen this guy on the Christian channel before. It's great that he doesn't let the fact that he has no limbs stop him from living life but that's his accomplishment, not god's or anyone else's. I hate it when people attribute their success to fate or some unseen god that they think controls their lives...
- reachforthesky, on 12/14/2007, -4/+2If anyone should still find it difficult to overcome your self-limiting beliefs and fears after reading this article, you should check out the follow videos of a man who was born without arms and legs but managed to overcome all odds to become a motivational speaker:

I believe you would feel inspired and ashamed at the same time. - iamondrugs, on 12/14/2007, -2/+0great stuff , would like to read more stuff of this kind....
