- HP844182, on 10/12/2007, -1/+36Losing energy at work? Have sex!

- datagod, on 10/12/2007, -1/+19"Have Sex"
For all you unmarried/ungirlfriended geeks out there, you can rub your hands and neck a bit harder than usual. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19The best of the 15:
Mints - through not readily available, mints are easy to carry around and are very convenient.
Breathe Deeply - You can do this anywhere, so it's versatile.
Rub Hands/Neck - Also easy, not needing any materials.
Drink a lot of water - Yet another reason to drink water. I've been drinking at least 3 bottles of a day for months and haven't gotten sick since. Water. Is. Amazing. - LGod, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17What about breathing deeply and having loud sex on your desk, next to the plant, while sucking on an egg flavored protein enriched mint, rubbing your neck and cleaning your window. You should not have to sleep for 3 or 4 months.
- RoshanK, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12I object. The best of the 15 is (just as the poster had said) is
Have sex - tinkertoy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Having an Altoid mint AND performing a certain sexual act on a willing partner...That will kill two birds.
- archer104, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10All that in the shower while waking up, breathing deeply, rubbing your wrists and neck, jogging in place, surrounded by plants, guzzling the shower water, and choking on eggs mixed with coffee.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10"Suck a mint
US RESEARCHERS found that athletes who sniffed peppermint ran faster and for longer - with less effort - than those exposed to no scent at all. Dr Bryan Raudenbush, who led the study, concluded that mint probably enhanced breathing by clearing the airways."
What about coke? - jmacdonagh, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13If sex for you is "instant" as is implied by the title, then I feel sorry for you.
- archer104, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11"And in a 10-year study of 900 British men, those who had sex most often had the best physical health and overall energy reserves."
More like...those who eat right and exercise have more sex. - kinesis8, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10That's odd, I usually fall asleep after having sex...
- goat2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10***** that im havin a rockstar
- violentvinyl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8If you use an unwilling partner I bet you both wake up much faster.

- WallyAnti, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Water does indeed do some amazing things for your clarity. I guzzle 16 oz as soon as I wake up every morning and constantly keep a bottle with me. I find that when I don't do this I start getting extremely moody and depressed. I used to use caffeine but it's so hard to find your optimal dosage without going too far and getting the jitters. Not to mention that your tolerance is constantly changing and eventually you'll reach a point where you have to go through the withdrawals which are no fun at all. Just don't go crazy. Hyperhydration can actually kill you.
- pixelmixer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5rofl... modded up for sure.
- RockSlice, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5"50 per cent of people experience fatigue if they miss their first cup of the day"
Really? Missing a dose of something you're addicted to messes you up? Who'd have thought?
Personally, I find that people who don't rely on caffeine at all are generally more alert than those that down 10 cups a day (plus they have more spending money). But I suppose they couldn't find enough people for the study who weren't addicted to caffeine. - MSTK, on 10/12/2007, -2/+62:16? It's a sign of a apocalypse.
- archer104, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5No they didn't.
- Dested, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I was almost expecting a drug article. Cant say i'm not a bit disappointed...

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Vivarin. That is all.
- feralkid, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5That would make sense, wouldn't it? Fitter and more energentic, more likely to be with a partner with the same attributes, therefore more sex.
The article has the cause and effect around the wrong way there. - davidirock, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3People who drink caffiene regularly have more energy then thouse that don't. I saw it on the news. The local news. Do you know what my news chanels slogen is? "People you can count on."
- HP844182, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3But don't you feel refreshed afterwards!

- hardwareguy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5Q: Is it true you told your Boss to go f*** himself
A: Yes
Q: Why
A: The Boss is not well liked by the staff, i noticed he was tired and advised him accordingly - notpencil, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2back in the day, mtv aired a show called 'undressed'. in one, or a few episodes, one cheerleader would have sex with some guy to boost her energy for the performance or whatever.
thing is that she wouldn't finish off and then apply the sexual energy to the, er, sport. this article sort of contradicts that since it claims the orgasm is the energy booster. i thought the show's idea made a lot of sense, i'm not sure post-orgasm i'd get instant energy. - Providence, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Or you could just wank and fantasize under your desk. Maybe that'll do the trick?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4"Don't rely on energy drinks
WHILE sugary energy drinks boost energy in the short-term, scientists at the Sleep Research Centre in Loughborough found that, an hour later, testers had slower reactions and lapses in concentration."
Obviously this guy hasn't tried Monster OR Rockstar - woodge, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I have found that a direct injection of adrenaline in the morning helps. That stuff gets you going! Woo!
- ptrcd003, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Lead by example..

- Jolene, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3When I read "Researchers pinpoint 2:16 p.m. as the time where most people lose energy at work". I thought they ment energy as in power to the office. Then it said "have sex"... See where my mind took this?
- gappodi, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3And loose your job and spouse instantly. (Have sex @work, the dude is out of his mind)

- dvdmon, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2One other thing they don't talk about is avoiding a big lunch, or even a normal-size lunch that has high-glycemic foods (bread, sweet sauces, etc.). The sugar/carb load means an initial jolt of energy followed by Nappy Time(tm)! I've been low-carbing for years and I think I start to doze maybe once every few months, probably due to having a meal that has a few too many carbs... (and I don't drink coffee or water during the day).
