World exclusive database test of AMD Socket F
tweakers.net — The Dutch ICT website Tweakers.net managed to get hold of an AMD Socket F mainboard and two suitable processors. They tested till what extend this new socket and processor with support for DDR2 memory made a difference regarding the performance of MySQL and PostgreSQL. In comparison with a Socket 940 Opteron, this turned out to be minimal.
