- grason1129, on 12/03/2007, -3/+66think some one will hack your mouse?! They could copy your patented counter strike moves!!
- hazello, on 12/03/2007, -12/+67Microsoft is my favorite technology company.
Everything they do is very, very well thought out and I admire their dedication to privacy. - Spelvin, on 12/03/2007, -2/+36Hell, my wireless keyboard has an issue reaching the receiver 4 feet away...I am not worried about this...
- inactive, on 12/03/2007, -3/+25Logitech FTW
- WiseWeasel, on 12/03/2007, -0/+20That you have no hand-eye coordination and you keep overshooting your targets. That could be valuable information in hand-to-hand combat...
- Speaking, on 12/03/2007, -7/+26What a joke, there is no way this can be I HACKED YOUR ***** MOFO... NOW I AM GONNA HIT ENTER THEN CONTROL ALT DELETE SO YOU CANT EDIT THIS *****!!!! HAHAH!!
- Otto, on 12/03/2007, -3/+21Because not all of us want wires stretched from our media center to our seating space, 30 feet away.
Or did you think that everybody sat at a desk to use a computer? - knuckles, on 12/03/2007, -4/+22Apple uses Bluetooth.
- utoks, on 12/03/2007, -0/+15Just in case anyone was interested this is how they spy on LCDs and CRTs.

Spread the knowledge. - thcobbs, on 12/03/2007, -6/+19If anyone is really concerned about building a remote, wireless keyboard sniffer, all they need is a directional antenna and a bit of programming.
And **GASP** it will even work on wired keyboards. - capiCrimm, on 12/03/2007, -1/+14I'll keep the wireless mouse. The worst someone can do it make my mouse randomly click.
- SPECOPS, on 12/03/2007, -0/+11People resisted the cellular phone when it first started to be popular with the same questions.
- _skin_, on 12/03/2007, -5/+15Time to get all the peeps off of the wireless keyboards and mice.
- gruvsf, on 12/03/2007, -1/+11wow-I am not sure what this is supposed to mean, but I am digging this unintelligible rant down
- RichG13, on 12/03/2007, -1/+11"Wireless keyboards offer no convenience over wired keyboards." Accept for the part about not having wires...
- SPECOPS, on 12/03/2007, -1/+10Now people will bitch and complain because the browser doesn't pop-up a message stating, " Please connect a wired keyboard to enter sensitive information "
- thealliedhacker, on 12/03/2007, -2/+11Uhh, Microsoft makes Bluetooth keyboards too...
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard ... - pak314, on 12/03/2007, -0/+9If people can read your keystrokes then can read any passwords you typed.
- Indecision, on 12/03/2007, -1/+9Which will reveal...
...what? - inactive, on 12/03/2007, -0/+8What......the *****?
- inactive, on 12/03/2007, -0/+7Because reconstructing the keystrokes from electromagnetic emanations of a wired keyboard or from a LCD or CRT monitor is not "the obvious". Hardly anyone can successfully do this, aside maybe senior engineers or the 3 letters agency. Any supercool hackers claiming to be able to do this, likely never tried it for himself, and would not know where to start if you gave them the funding to do it, they are just whoring for attention.
- GothAlice, on 12/03/2007, -1/+8Or LCD and CRT displays. Remote viewing of those is fun, though B&W.
- DigitAl56K, on 12/03/2007, -0/+7Logitech has also had issues with cross-talk in past.
Some of the funnier cross-talk stories (although not an issue for years now) have involved people typing on their neighbors computers :) - GothAlice, on 12/03/2007, -0/+7Four zeros, but yes. Apple BT keyboards have you type 6 or 8 digit random PINs when you first set it up.
- AladinSane, on 12/03/2007, -2/+8I love how whenever someone points out the obvious in a thread like this, they immediately get Dugg Down. There's nothing Diggers hate worse than the truth.
- kunjan1029, on 12/03/2007, -1/+7ever heard of parabolic dish with a receiver in the center?
- mcgarry83, on 12/03/2007, -0/+6Sounds like someone needs to stop watching so much "l33t hax0r pr0n".
- MiDri, on 12/03/2007, -0/+6and your a/s/l!
- GothAlice, on 12/03/2007, -1/+6Proof? It uses standard Bluetooth with an enforced lengthy key. Better than all of those BT keyboards with four zeros for the PIN. Microsoft's keyboard is proprietary RF, not even Bluetooth.
- xero9, on 12/03/2007, -0/+5Can you back up this claim with some more detail, or a link?
- ontain, on 12/03/2007, -0/+5don't most bluetooth devices use 0000 for their code?
- ucffool, on 12/03/2007, -1/+6Ever consider that people don't always use a DESK? My keyboard is on my lap, I sit in a comfy chair in my living room, my screen sits on an end table just left of center, computer on the floor to the left (and out of view from the rest of the room), and my mouse is on the right side of me. Cables would, well, suck. Badly.
- thcobbs, on 12/03/2007, -0/+4They call it the truth, but just because they've deluded themselves into believing it doesn't make it the truth.
- inactive, on 12/03/2007, -0/+4worst porn ever....
- tech42er, on 12/04/2007, -0/+4Let me guess: XKCD fan, right?
- boxxa, on 12/03/2007, -1/+5Wooohooo! Now I can steal my co-workers myspace password!
- Falldog, on 12/03/2007, -1/+5It'd be fun to use, just to ***** with friends and roommates.
- EnterDaMatrix, on 12/03/2007, -0/+4Wires FTW
- handsoffme, on 12/03/2007, -0/+4what about the truthers?
- Speaking, on 12/03/2007, -2/+5damn
- LoudMusic, on 12/03/2007, -1/+4This was not news some five or more years ago the first time I heard about it.
Hello everyone - wireless _ANYTHING_ is not secure. - chrisxkelley, on 12/04/2007, -0/+3are you stoned?
- knuckles, on 12/03/2007, -4/+7Apple uses Bluetooth, that makes you a troll.
- jftitan, on 12/03/2007, -0/+3people are still idiots, I know 5 people who still threaten me with physical harm if I get to close to them with my cell phone. (MotoQ), because of risk of radiation. These are the same ***** that try to sell me the idea that a copper metal shield will protect me if I put it on all my electronic things.
(Of course all five are 48yrs or older.) - thealliedhacker, on 12/03/2007, -1/+4They DO MAKE Bluetooth keyboards
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard ... - schoate09, on 12/03/2007, -0/+3Just don't install their crappy Mac software.
- deadbaby, on 12/03/2007, -0/+3IR wireless keyboards should be pretty secure. Someone would have to be in the line of sight between the keyboard and receiver to sniff your keystrokes.
- DigitAl56K, on 12/03/2007, -1/+4Not only can they see your passwords, but they can also log your card details.
- dallashigh, on 12/03/2007, -0/+3Except for the fact that SSL encrypts data before it leaves your computer. Therefore, even if you crack the encryption on their network, you're still left with SSL-encrypted packets.
