USB outputs a MAX of 2.5W to any particular device, a george forman grill larger than a book of matches would immediately trip a fuse and shut down the usb bus.

- iakie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I doubt any of the stuff qualifies USB devices. If it simply draws power from host, then it's DEFINITLY a vialation of USB spec and thus not a USB device. (devices are supposed to tell host during handshake that it need power, the inital power supplied is only designed to support such handshake) If your USB host is poorly designed, these things CAN fry your motherboard. Also do you know that a company develop USB device are supposed be ripped $1500 for a USB logo (and Vender ID used in the device)?
