- subfusc, on 03/25/2008, -6/+39I'd love a Companion Cube in there.
- ninjan, on 03/25/2008, -1/+16We have such sights to show you.
The box, you opened it, we came. Now you must come with us, taste our pleasures. - calinthematrix, on 03/25/2008, -2/+9"giving the impression that there are no internal components."
Installing Vista has the same affect on my PC..... - Tollboi, on 03/25/2008, -0/+7Jar Jar?
- waspbr, on 03/25/2008, -1/+8watch the movie first.
- mindsnare, on 03/25/2008, -0/+5It's just like those money boxes you can get with the same effect. Pretty cool.
- robotto, on 03/25/2008, -1/+6All this effort and he got a $500 gift certificate for Buy.com...
- hfactor, on 03/25/2008, -2/+7Right. And Mr. "HELL RAISER > PORTAL WOOT!!!11ONEONE" is probably a distinguished scholar.
- JudgeMonkey, on 03/25/2008, -0/+4You're late! *throws stapler*
- Rozza, on 03/25/2008, -2/+6or a cake
- Ansem, on 03/25/2008, -0/+4Looks awesome except for the ancient I/O on the back.
- Llanowar, on 03/25/2008, -1/+5I'm a huge Hellraiser fan, so I really want me one of those!
- YamiJim, on 03/25/2008, -0/+4wow, you fail
It's the puzzle box from HellRaiser
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hellraiser - surKaz, on 03/25/2008, -0/+3Alright, I understand everybody getting tired of the cake and the lies, and the companion cube references.. It's used almost everywhere (by myself too, at times).. but the original commenter (subfusc) was making a comment.. nothing extremely fanboy-ish or bashing anything else.
I understand YamiJim too, There's an overload of Portal everywhere.. just too much. But the way he said it may have caused the Diggity Downs..
BTW. Nobody is comparing Portal to Hellraiser.. both different (albeit both are intriguing).. Simply it was said that a CC would have been cool there too..
Chill out... - polishdude06, on 03/25/2008, -0/+3Do want.
- surKaz, on 03/25/2008, -0/+3They announced a remake last year... Hopefully they keep true a bit to the original..
- potofgravy, on 03/25/2008, -3/+6Wow a magic trick that I have already seen in a star wars toy from burger king.
This stuff is truly unique. - DarKnight90, on 03/25/2008, -1/+4No one here seems to know the awesome movie that is Hellraiser. I bet after they remake it with tones of Saw III like gore all the kiddes will love it.
- skoober, on 03/25/2008, -4/+6The Illusion PC is a look like crap
- YamiJim, on 03/25/2008, -1/+3indeed, a mirror and a box....definitely over the top and gaudy.
- screwattackthis, on 03/25/2008, -0/+2Any small form factor PC would be bad for "hard core" gamers.
- Punisher2K, on 03/25/2008, -0/+2Yes, it is really done
- amanilaenvelope, on 03/25/2008, -1/+3you didnt get the hellraiser pun? or at least i thought it was a pun
- stretch611, on 03/25/2008, -0/+2I generally do not care about case mods... But this one is an eye-catcher. Its cool and small as well.
- YodaJones, on 03/25/2008, -0/+2It's all done with smoke and mirrors.
- inactive, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1smoke mostly. i hear they used some lasers too.
- YamiJim, on 03/25/2008, -3/+4You know it bitch. I'm 25 and college educated.
i like portal too, it's just reached Pokemon fanatic status and it's irritating to have EVERYONE compare EVERYTHING to portal and how EVERYTHING needs to be about portal and EVERYONE needs to know how cool YOU are because YOU like portal.
ugh, it's a great game. we all love it, but come on.
and comparing hellraiser to portal is kinda apples to oranges.
But i will always give +1 to ORIGINALITY, some thing you hive-minds wouldn't understand. - eddie72, on 03/25/2008, -1/+2That is a really done case mod. Most just look all gaudy but that case mod looks like it took a lot of thought to create.
- Krpano, on 03/25/2008, -1/+2indeed...***** those unprofessional idiots...."some of us still remember what you did"
- mark076h, on 03/25/2008, -5/+6Now THAT is actually a really interesting case mod.
- tocleora, on 03/25/2008, -1/+2I agree with Yami... I see portal comments almost daily. - I played it. I'm not building companion cubes in my garage. Can we not just like a case mod? Digg has become a place where people say something witty and get dugg up, but people who say something valuable in response to the wittyness get dugg down. Yeah he could have said it more maturely (and deserves to be dugg down for that) but I do see his point - not everything needs a portal or companion cube stuck on it.
- YamiJim, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1it was in response to "is probably a distinguished scholar." if you READ the comment chain...it's fairly obvious, did you take an reading comprehension courses? maybe you can still catch some in night school.
- Rileyper, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1disqualified, this was featured from maximum pc 2 years ago
Still a pretty awesome pc - dacheetah, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1Vista...
- Lysogen, on 03/27/2008, -0/+1Amazing box but this is damn old. I remember a year ago reading the work log for this.
- Mortikhi, on 03/25/2008, -0/+1Done to completion.
- JudgeMonkey, on 03/25/2008, -1/+2I'm 25 and college educated as well, whatever damn difference that makes. The designer says the effect is customizable, and someone said they wanted a companion cube in it. Yes, the hellraiser puzzle box is awesome, but the cube would be awesome too.
- xtrench, on 03/25/2008, -1/+1I'm sorry, but that's just BAD. ASS.
- cskeen, on 03/25/2008, -1/+1Hrmm, guess we have to look forward to much smaller next gen Ge-Force cards... cant imagine putting my Ge-Force 8800GTX in there. Nice case though, but in my opinion: at first look, dosnt look to good for your hard core gamers.
- brianara3, on 03/25/2008, -1/+1I personally like a "down to earth" news group. They are obviously not influenced by corporate sponsors and paid story plugs. Besides, childish at it was it was still funny as hell.
- jeschelon, on 03/25/2008, -1/+1Nice design but...Old news! This was in a a modding magazine months ago.
- JudgeMonkey, on 03/25/2008, -1/+1Buried for aznhomig. it doesn't matter what you said, only who it is saying it.... apparently.
- brianara3, on 03/25/2008, -0/+0aWesome spell check usage!
- omgsideburns, on 03/25/2008, -2/+2i had a coin bank like that when i was in 5th grade..
buried. - inactive, on 03/25/2008, -1/+1the cake is a pie.
- aznhomig, on 03/25/2008, -8/+7Buried for Gizmodo.
- albybum, on 03/25/2008, -2/+1Windows ME
- blinky04, on 03/25/2008, -3/+2When i was 5 I had a piggy-bank that did this.
It's cool, but not award-winning. - inactive, on 03/25/2008, -4/+2I guess Bill Gates will be the one coming out of the box with nails in his head this time?
Maybe the torture involved with this hell raiser will be having to use windows for eternity? - zerhynn, on 03/25/2008, -4/+1I can't wait until someone requests that they make a companion cube out of it.
