The laser is way too dim in a bright room and the game just felt cheap (despite the $45 retail price). It sounds like a great idea but the final product was not as cool as I had hoped.

I bought it up when it came around on digg the first time, and I played it once, and I don't think I got through the whole game. It's not better by chess in any way, and it takes twice as long to set up the game than it takes to actually play it. Ugh, I hated it, so I sold it.

- kkaabboomm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0the laser is plenty bright in a light or dark room...and as for setup, chess takes a while to setup if you don't know how to set it up. setting deflexion for us is really fast, it took like 2 or 3 times for us looking at the instructions before just knowing where the pieces go. the games can take anywhere from 5 minutes to like 30 or 45 on average if you battle it out. it's different than chess, but similar. and really fun.
