Sun StorEdge 3320 Review
blogs.smugmug.com — Diggers seemed to enjoy my recent Sun server review and my detailed description of the perfect DB storage array, so here's the final part of the equation. So does Sun's SCSI RAID array stack up? Is it perfect? Is it as good as their x64 servers?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zfs- onethumb, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5Man, ZFS is so awesome. I want it on Linux so badly.
- CraigCarlyle, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1No, but it'll blend.
- ceralor, on 10/11/2007, -6/+1How is this even on the front page? How did this get dugg?
- bentman78, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1ZFS is currently ported into FreeBSD along with DTrace:

Load a VM with FreeBSD and give it a try. - caleb4mj, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0I would rather try ZFS on OpenSolaris.
Also with constructive criticism like this they should have their storage OS up to community standards in no time. I applaud their innovative and open approach. And I recommend we all give it a go on our home networks and test if its the hardware or the software.. Maybe we can help Sun correct some of these issues? :)
- paradexes, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Hopefully we will see a fuse implementation of ZFS at some point. Googles Summer of Code is working on a project for that. Let's cross our fingers there. With the Licenses being an issue Fuse is the next best thing.
