- D3koy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19Did I miss the "Strange Laptops You Do See Everyday" story?
- naldwell, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18I like the LG one with the OLED display.
- Gir53457, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19The e-book and type writer laptop are awesome but the $350000 one looks like ***** and has ***** specs for the price.
- TheSaladMan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Oh noooes I are going to die!
- discourse, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12The E-Book is amazing! On looks alone it kills my macbook pro. The diamond E-Go laptop looks like a bootleg clamshell.
- mvdde, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9For the Duke Nukem laptop, I expected to see an empty box (or coming soon).
- TheThirdRider, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8the steampunk laptop is awesome. i'd love to pull that out at an internet cafe.
- DurkaMcDurk, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9really? no way... maybe if you'll read the ***** article you wont make stupid remarks like that.
- ColoursInMyHead, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7That EBook looks.... AMAZING!!!!
- JDoorjam, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6"What makes this laptop worth $336,557 USD?"
.... nothing. It _costs_ that much, but the $336,557 laptop elegantly displays the difference between cost and value, in this case, the former dwarfing the latter. So unless it comes preloaded with, say, nuclear launch codes, it's worth nowhere near that. - alteratti, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5LG's OLED one looks sick man..
can't wait to get me hands on one/ - ryanfelix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5That frameless display on that e-book looks so awesome... mmmm....
- aaronm67, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Two of these are from Ben Heck (as was mentioned in the article). Go to http://www.benheck.com.
He writes some really cool articles, and has a lot of cool products/other handhelds and laptops. - prisoner24601, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I keep seeing the LG E-Book photos, and *everyone* who reviews it wants one, so I'm puzzled why LG hasn't announced a release date (even if we're talking some sort of "Q4 2008" vague estimate.)
I just hope I won't have to sell a kidney to buy it! (Of course I'm not saying I *wouldn't* if that's what it comes down to... That thing is so much better than any notebook I've ever seen, much less touched, that they could pretty much "name their price" on it.) - JimSartor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Wasn't that Duke Nukem Laptop supposed to be released back in the early 90s? I was looking forward to buying it back in college to make all of my friends who had their "Rise of the Triad" Laptops jealous, but now . . . it just seems a bit anti-climatic.
- dioxmat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It's missing the Nokia 770 laptop:

And its second version:

Seriously, it seems like all they do is find 5 related things and put them in a list. - TheWorm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"the steampunk laptop is awesome. i'd love to pull that out at an internet cafe."
Take that all you trendy people with your Macbooks and Tablets. This is what a real man uses. - damonlab, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3The wii laptop has a 7'' widescreen display. Is it just me, or doesn't 7'' widscreen display sound like an oxymoron?
- markperia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I want that steam punk laptop.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Missing are the Atari laptops:
http://benheck.com/12-16-2006/latest-atari-800-computer-laptop - inactive, on 01/15/2009, -0/+1if you want laptop battery with discount price. go there:

http://www.babatek.com/original-hp-laptop-battery- ... - Felion, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Anyone else think the 'multiple modes' of the Intel laptop were actually slight repositions of the screen?
The ebook and steampunk were sexy as hell though! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Not only that, the description says "widescreen", which you can see from the picture is bunk.
- felchdonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Not to mention the fact that only one of those laptops in the list was remotely innovative, cutting edge, or for that matter, new. Other than the LG, every one of those has been written up by pretty much every gadget blog and tech site in existence.
I guess I should have expected Digg to go downhill as it got more popular, but we're talking AOL levels by now - I can't believe this is fresh technology news to this many people. - kenthorvath, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Not to mention, the $300k diamond laptop looks like a modified toilet seat.
- inactive, on 12/23/2008, -0/+1i prefer dell notebook, really good brand. what do you think of http://www.babatek.com
- kixxster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1that e-book is effing amazing! I want one when I have lots of money...and if it ever comes out
- Doorfingers, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1on the wii laptop it labels the "infamous section of strap"
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I bet that 360 laptop overheats like hell.
- trenskow, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Since some the images don't work, I'll try the http://www.duggmirror.com/ ;)
- crankycookie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0“Under the current technology, it’s extremely expensive to build such a laptop. But it’s possible,” said Na Joo-young, public relations official of the company.
There is no info on if and when will production of this notebook start.
http://laptoping.com/lg-e-book-fuel-oled.html - azizrulez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0the duke nukem one was my fav
although id like to try what the self destruct button actually does - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It'd be really cool to look at vintage porn on the Steampunk.
- chingy1788, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0the ebook looks amazing
but there is a problem with the Blue OLED only lasting 1,000-10,000 hours vs the 30k+ hrs for the red and green oleds
that was in an article last year, i think it was Beyond Tomorrow on CH 7, in australia
also it may be a fingerprint magnet...
all in all, great notebook, just a few little things holding it back - TechLaw, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Strangely the Duke Nukem Laptop is only concept art, without a real product.
- rockyHardcore, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0wow the japanesereally wanted to make the notebook(Laptop) look like a notebook.
- brianbennett, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1The Sony Vaio X505 wouldn't be out of place on that list. - http://www.vaio.sony.co.jp/Products/PCG-X505/
- flamingmb, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1yes, I remember seeing the e-go over a year ago and thinking they had just ripped off the clamshell ibook design.
- Peynis, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4the turntable laptop makes no sense at all...
first of all, you'd need to buy two of them, and you always have to open and close it to choose a new track...and when the laptop is closed, you can't see the screen anymore...a touch-sensitive panel for DJ controls are not the best idea, either, and it also seems to have no pitch control...
it's obvious that no DJ was involved in designing this thing... - doktorzee, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0The images might even load in time for the release of Duke Nukem Forever...
- patience, on 10/12/2007, -7/+3If I can't buy it, why should I be wowed.
- Thulcander, on 10/12/2007, -14/+1I think the $350,000 laptop has jewels on it.
