- MasterThief117, on 10/10/2007, -16/+51Bah, this one is better http://www.afrotechmods.com/submitted/gCube/DCP_0806.jpg
- shibbz, on 10/10/2007, -3/+36"Hello of people, My English is not very well, therefore here a many pictures. Pictures say more like words ;-) "
Dugg for the humorously terrible English. - HenvY, on 10/10/2007, -0/+24That is undescribably awesome.
- tito184, on 10/10/2007, -14/+34Looks much better than the ***** they make at Orange County Choppers.
- Hervard, on 10/10/2007, -6/+20End result: http://www.hq-modding.de/bilder/maico/HDV2/Bild-643.jpg
- dafragsta, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10You guys are dicks. I'm not saying it's a timeless piece of art, but if you've enjoyed any non-functional bauble or piece of art in your life, you are being extremely hypocritical. Art comes out of the passion to create something beautiful, sometimes functional, most times, not so much.
Anytime someone posts something like this on Digg, it gets Dugg up to the front page just so people can bash the guy who created it for not having a life or not getting laid. Clearly Diggers value a man's worth by how much time he spends socially engineering 14-year olds on MySpace so they can "get laid." How's that for unfair generalizations? - zigaroo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10http://www.caseumbau.de/forumbilder/maico.wmv
There's the video of the pistons working, etc. - simpleid, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10this wasn't designed to be mobile. obviously.
and i guess your knowledge of desks is incredibly limited. not that it even HAS to be placed on a desk. maybe you didn't realize that though...
over kill for what anyway? art? apparently you missed the point of modding -entirely-. it's hard to appreciate something like this when you can't understand it... sucks for you. - XxModestMousexX, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9I wonder how much that cost.
- skatiN64, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8there are a couple great "guess what this is" photos... of the finished product
holy crap - dshPls, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7*****, unless you invented everything you're ever used in your entire life, you better not EVER complain about anything. If there's a glitch in Photoshop, don't complain unless you can code the program again. Is your car *****? Better go build another one!
- V3X3D, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6parts probably didn't cost him much, craftsmanship on the other hand is priceless.
- korupture, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5You just described how awesome it is.
- itseffinkasey, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7It would be cool... if it didn't resemble a Harley
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Actually, the lexan he used for most of the construction can get VERY pricey. A single 4'x8' sheet of 1/2" thick lexan can run $400+.
- se7en11, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Sorry for the comment abuse but here's a link to the PC running via YouTube:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=-2T5YlASeYs - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4for some reason I am expecting to see hamsters running about in it.
- tony4moroney, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4v3x3d youre a touch wrong. those parts wouldve cost an absolute *****.
- Me1000, on 10/10/2007, -5/+9http://duggmirror.com
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I doubt anyone will read this (and for that matter even remember me building the digg case) but give me 3 weeks and you'll be eating your words. Macs can be modded. :D
- JaYBrooks, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3You think this one is good. When I was in junior high I collected parts (even broken parts) to frankenstine a computer together. I ended up with a 286 BBS node. I didn't have a case. It was a table with all of the devices on it doing their thing. IT lasted 5 years.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4I was hoping for video of it in action. :(
- goeatsmsht, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Vroom Vroom!!!
- dracolich, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5Did you miss that the engine holds the water for the cooling system?
I like that hes using actual Harley parts :) but thats no surprise since a Harley is the only transportation I own.
dubyadubya3 - "it is so bulky that you wouldn't even have enough space to put it anywhere"
When you move out of mommy and daddys house you will have plenty of space for bulky things. - aaronm67, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5It was a 9 month project. He didn't sit down for 15 hours a day, 7 days a week until it was finished. Instead of sitting on Digg and refreshing the page every 3 seconds, he worked on a project in his free time.
- jkoke, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Buried. Blocked. Reported as offensive.
You will never make it to the front page, Apple will never replace your laptop, and you will always be an annoying tool.
Grow up, you ***** comment spammer. - akira117, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4I might be going out on a limb, but I think this guy has a lot of free time.
- akira117, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3http://www.caseumbau.de/forumbilder/maico.wmv
- exodar, on 10/10/2007, -3/+6I have to agree with you on that one tito. I have been watching American Chopper in HD just to have something to watch on my new TV and I swear that those guys are esthetically retarded or something. Their bikes would look a lot better if they would quit about halfway into each bike and stop adding so many ***** trinkets and ***** to them!
--end of rant - qwertydvorak, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5i was hoping after looking through your 300 or so letters, the end result would be something useful.
- akira117, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2LOL KMartSheriff is a n00b!!
- JeePweN, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3I need to see this thing in action... WHERE'S THE VIDEO!!
- zaren, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I read the description, and my first thought was: soeone gave birth to a baby, and then they stuck a computer in it? That's one hell of a mod!
- MicrowavedH2o, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2any mirrors? I'm gettting 404 on your link.
- simpleid, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3not having the parts in a case w/ fans over it gives lower temps 'for budget' pcs. :-)
- Frecklefoot, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3It's a flashy case, but I'd like a diagram explaining the final result. For example, it looks like the CPU is being liquid cooled. Is this the case? What do the different components do? Is it all functional or all flash?
- MicrowavedH2o, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Too bad it only caught the pics from the first post...
- shadowspawn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Y'know... Harley guys would buy that from him, or trade him a new Road King, fully up on mods, just to have something like that in their own personal showroom. (I've seen guys that turn rooms or basements into Harley showrooms, including a lift or a drive-out ramp).
Dugg for the effort. - macbookpromat, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4I was expecting something along the lines of this, http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/de/V-2_Rocket_On_Meillerwagen.jpg
- Kitsune818, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Nice to see the evolution from thought to execution. Wish I could work with plexi like that and not get it all screwed up.
- j3one, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2video of finished mod //
download: http://www.caseumbau.de/forumbilder/maico.wmv
streaming mirror in flash: http://joplan.com/video/vidone.html - 2point71, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3it's not really a mod anymore, but more of like a.. i don't know... art piece? mods are case mods, there's some sort of resemblance of a case there.. but this isn't..
but. it's cool anyways. - otakugeek, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2The link he put did work.
- CosmicJustice, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I bet his english is better than your (any language other than english)
- OBKenobi, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2That guy from OCC is going to hang you from a tree by your underwear and shoot arrows at you.
I agree the trinkets are usually in bad taste, but other than that, their bikes aren't bad. They've improved a lot since they've started using CAD. When they need to make a trendy California bike they are able to do that. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+5The best looking systems in the world will never be Apples. This is proof.
- hawksfan03, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1actually we sell 1/2" 4' x 8' plexiglass at menards for $139
- rspeed, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3Same here. I'm actually disappointed. The V-2 (despite being made for terrible reasons) is a hell of a lot more interesting than an engine block.
- senixon, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1How much horsepower does that thing put out?
- remixnzza, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1what is it?

What is Digg?
