Stacker 830 case costs about $240 and that is certified to handle the 8800GTX's size so........And cooling costs woulda been nice too. Also why limit the 8800GTX with a e6600 CPU? Even reviewers say a quad core is best to fully utilize it or your CPU will be your bottleneck everytime just holding the graphic card back. *shrugs*

- theblackgecko, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I agree. Listing a bunch of components which could go into a nice system is not a guide. Listing all the components and giving benchmarks of system performance makes a guide.
- BassJunkie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think the reason they've chosen that CPU is because of the budget, $2K - as you've pointed out a case capable of housing the card is going to cost more then the "change" they have left so the only other option would be to downgrade the card? At the end of the day this isn't so much a guide as a shopping list explaining why they picked each item!
Yes it would have been nice to give some thought to the cooling aswell, but I guess your cooling requirements will be partly determined by your choice of case!
