- th2edrrfs, on 10/12/2007, -10/+25hell no.
- bysin, on 10/12/2007, -4/+17I believe thats a good thing.
- kevnaca, on 10/12/2007, -9/+22You really had to resort to Digg to market that, Motorola?
- Humbick, on 10/12/2007, -3/+14Yea I must say its cheap and effective (if people like it) it would seem stupid not to (at least try).
- BlackIon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Its sad, when the battery life of my laptop is better than my Q.
- mobilehavoc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7In related news, RIM (Blackberry maker) stock just went up!
- deadbaby, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8No 802.11? No sale.
- matthewaaron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I refuse to buy a smart phone without WiFi capabilities...
- ihate2regist, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7"Does this look like a "Q" to you?"
- musicfreak21, on 10/12/2007, -7/+12Anti-virus built in? Lol. That's windows for ya...
- thejenway11, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5is it just me or did that guy's face scare you a little when you opened the page?
- prezzy, on 10/12/2007, -6/+10FIX THE ***** BATTERY LIFE!!
Thats the main complaint I have with my Q. The new one looks nice but those buttons look like they would be hard to type on. - reem01, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Motorola released another update a week or so ago. Upgrade to that. My battery life hasn't been bad since the 2nd update they released.
- lateralus, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7no 802.11b....in a day and age when it should at minimum have 802.11b, not to mention g.
Very weak effort Moto. I bet the battery life rox too. - 4NDr01D, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4windows mobile sucks !! freaking slow, and poor designed
as much as I'm bored with Palm, I'm interested to see their Linux OS - usherzx, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5motorola's idea to put digg buttons on the website is a great idea!
soon a lot of websites will have digg buttons and we won't have to submit them anymore, if we like an article on ESPN or a product on walmart.com or bestbuy or wherever we are, we digg it
kickass - ryanschmidt, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7The Q was the worst phone I have ever owned. I love my blackberry. :)
- eddieroger, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Great point. My battery life sucks. I'm grateful for USB charging and my work dock.
- Sefus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Indeed. I even got the extended battery. Last barely 24 hrs :/
This kinda makes me wish I had held out but there will be complaints with every new product. - thussy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I got to beta test it.
Battery life is still poor.
Very akward to get around (Mobile 6's fault, not Motos). D-Pads are crap.
Still slow.
Nice screen.
Not ergonomic at all. - griffe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3still no wireless... they wanna force you to buy a data package.
- LotusStarscream, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2No sir, I don't like it. Wouldn't this have been considered spam?
- Humbick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2More like the Motorola Poo.. How come blackberry 8800 has like 5 days of battery life? I would assume that this is most important to people using e-mail smartphones/organizers, especially on during business trips. Slingbox is the only plus I can think of right now (and that comes with the negative of having Windows freeze on you everyday like on my old Q, and background processes that you dont know about killing your battery even more).
- rlombardo, on 11/05/2008, -0/+2and then their network crashed from the excitement
- doc99, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3lol, like how the Apple iPhone ad is placed on the Digg page.
- Spazkake, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Ugly, ugly keyboard
- doc99, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3 sorry ... This aint a reply, just digg this down.
- EtherGnat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Try imov Messenger, among others: http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=1&osId=804&jid=E973968881BD6A342DCB31CFB29A7476&N=4294922199&Ntt=aim&R=52885
The beauty of third party apps-- You're never limited to what comes with the phone. - egrumling, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1AAAAAAH!!!!!!
- geneticlone, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Although its a cool marketing idea, I'm not so sure the product is quite with the times :-).
- schuchwun, on 06/11/2008, -0/+132 gb now on the q9h
- shervster, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3You might want to check out this video of a motorola Q going insane before ever buying one!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6-Tn5qDJIs - lemmingscanfly, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I like how theres an Ad advertising the iPhone next to the article on digg :)
- venezian, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2i have the Q with the extended battery and it's still a ***** phone.. horrible.
i'll stick to Cingular and my Nokia N70. - CLShortFuse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Their linux OS isn't all that great. I have a A1200 with mplayer ported onto it, so I can watch 320x240@30fps XviD on it. But Windows Mobile, is by far, better than their linux OS.
- Bahimiron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I hope that the future Q doesn't suck quite as much as the current Q. The Q that I have that I curse daily.
I shoulda just waited and sprung for a Treo 750. I underestimated the awesomeness of tethering.
Of course, if tethering was the only thing wrong with the current gen of Qs, I'd be a happy man. - spacebetween, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Well, this is it, guys. I guarantee the marketing world is buzzing over the fact that Motorola got a product on Digg's front page. Get ready for more!!
- ripstuntz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wow, I don't know if I like the fact that Motorola has a "digg this" button on their site....
- RITMaloney, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1802.11 - WHERE IS IT?
I agree 100%. I have sprint, and I'm just waiting for a slim PDA phone that has 802.11 something. Where the heck is it? This is ridiculous, I'm thinking of changing carriers when my contract is up if nothing comes out by then. - Azselendor, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Is it me, or is the screen Smaller?!?
- uberkling, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Since I have no first hand experience with this product and can't think of anything constructive or witty to say,
....QQ. - Mirag3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1SHH. If you talk bad about Q he'll throw you 7000 light-years from Federation space!
- gettarat, on 04/14/2008, -0/+0I like this one. It's like the one I've seen at http://aphonesite.com
- arwright, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0No jog wheel... I like the windows mobile 6, but I want the jog wheel back!
- mechx, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I think a lot of your opinions will change when it is released. I had n opportunity to work with one for a while thanks to a friendly AT&T rep and it was amazing compared to similar gear. While it does not have a wonderful battery life, it is well better than a blackjack and will easily last the day, so just charge it each evening if you enable a large amount of data and/or bluetooth, which is pretty standard from my experience with lightweight phones. Also it is sleaker, faster, and more comforatable. The keyboard is amazingly comfortable for this type of device just because of the raised aspect of it as well as the shape. Also, the camera is really nice in comparison and has the brightest flash/led I have seen on a mobile phone yet. The biggest irritation I would comment on is the change of the charging/usb port which will result in buying some new accessories, but that's not unusual when switching phones.
- illpwnu4evr22, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0I love my Q. On the otherhand I like my new Palm too. Yes, that'd be right, two smartphones, and love them both!
- iamanalog, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1defiantly looks better then the new dash that's coming out.
- jcaino, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2damn
that's ugly
my ne2 was coming up and i was considering getting a black moto q, but these ad tactics have turned me off (not too mention the stability problems i've experienced recently with motorola's phones)
i have a free samsung u740 right now (part of the VZW customer council) and for its short-comings -it really is a great, stable phone. i've had it for 3 months and have not had it reboot randomly on me. in fact, i haven't turned it off since i got it - that's pretty impressive in my book.
motorola needs to get back to the quality of products that they were putting out that pretty much ended with the startac line.
they've been extremely disappointing as of late. - egrumling, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Looks like he has a bad keyboard
