- tsaxer, on 11/16/2007, -0/+5Here's hoping this gets solar to really take off.
- MunkeeBoy, on 11/21/2007, -0/+2This is awesome! I am gonna get some as soon as it comes out in Australia. Does anyone know if this tech is able to be safely disposed of?
- Skycypher, on 11/19/2007, -0/+2I will go green sales when this makes it out to market on the cheap! We can all benefit from the phasing in of these new green technologies by partnering with local construction and developer businesses that want to provide their customers with the path to reducing their carbon footprints in their homes. I know I'm thinking GREENER everyday. How about you?
- neal42, on 11/27/2007, -0/+1If this is as good as it sounds at first glance we're all gonna get tired of looking at it before too long. It will be everywhere! Roofs, walls, cars, you name it and there this stuff will be. Can it hold a design?
- rupertmorris, on 11/30/2007, -0/+1dugg for the word 'nano-ink'
- Domainmaster, on 11/26/2007, -0/+1I think this will be the company that brings solar mainstream. The economics are there and the company is also backed by some deep pockets.
It seems to me that they have a well thought out plan. I wish them a lot of success. - laudyms, on 12/23/2007, -0/+1I read about something similar more than 20 years ago- they were bought out by Chevron and disappeared. Better luck this time!
- SilverWyrm, on 12/29/2007, -0/+1277.8, from the article
- chemrat, on 01/22/2008, -0/+1I understand, but this case is different, I think. The printing technology being used is so well established, for other purposes, that it is "easy" to go into production once the "inks" have been invented and developed for quality control and quantity. "All" one needs is large printing machines. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it is real.
- bigpeepee, on 12/15/2007, -0/+0this looks like the real deal. More research in renewables = lower cost!! period And cost is the only way we can win the war against Big Oil and Coal. I see Nanosolar has Google money and Department of Energy backing. If only we (the US) spent on Solar and Wind what we spend in a week on Iraq think where we could be!!
- willw2, on 11/23/2007, -0/+0I'm skeptical of any company that claims they can ramp production this quickly.
- bentrider1957, on 12/28/2007, -0/+0If it works, they can license the technology and make hundreds of billions of dollars. I have not seen, however, how many watts per sq ft it produces.
- pellucidon, on 01/25/2009, -0/+0I wish them luck too. So when are they hitting the market? My house awaits the panels eagerly - hope it's not vapour-ware ...
- alaoud, on 02/08/2008, -0/+0I hope it will soon be available through commercial ntwk!
- 4dantheman, on 03/15/2008, -0/+0That's so SWEET!!! Good bye shingles, hello Solar!!
- rhodydog, on 01/01/2008, -0/+0Because the technology is too advanced and in any case the company has the patents on the technology.
- FloriaKir, on 11/16/2007, -7/+0honestly, if it's so cheap, why doesn't china already make these?
