Mobile phones get 1GHz CPUs
windowsfordevices.com — The CPU in your mobile phone may soon rival that in your desktop PC, thanks to two Qualcomm chipsets featuring an internal 1GHz microprocessor. The chipsets also include a universal modem claimed to support "all" 2G and 3G mobile broadband standards, and are being demonstrated this week running Linux and Windows CE.
