- DRock4776, on 04/09/2008, -2/+16The folks at Gizmodo weren't big fans...
http://gizmodo.com/377768/kevin-rose-sets-up-home- ... - RadicalEdward, on 04/09/2008, -2/+11Why are they acting like he's got millions?
- deadnoob, on 04/09/2008, -0/+3Its extremely odd to see an Apple product being the cheapest on a list!
- matthewdestroys, on 04/09/2008, -0/+3so what's his address...?
- coheedcollapse, on 04/09/2008, -0/+3"filming live-streaming videos of himself doing it"
I took that phrase completely the wrong way and was confused immensely because of it. - MCGrunge1, on 04/09/2008, -0/+3Speakers are a subjective thing. Everyone likes what sounds good to them, it's as simple as that. I own a decent set of Klipsch speakers myself, and I probably auditioned 100 different setups before I settled on those. Of course, I would never ridicule someone for having different taste...
- jessejardim, on 04/09/2008, -0/+2Wise choice on getting Klipsch. I love their speakers.
- paintpro, on 04/09/2008, -3/+5No rear speakers makes for a lame and incomplete home theater.
- cquinnd, on 04/09/2008, -1/+3You (and I) are just that poor. (Actually a little of both).
- jb0nd38372, on 04/09/2008, -3/+4Ah that's not very nice. There might be some audiophiles in here that would love to see what Kevin uses to jam with. I'm not a fan boy, I just like Digg, and music.
- oldhick, on 04/09/2008, -0/+1Did I miss the room specs somewhere? I didn't see those...
- Justin6512, on 04/10/2008, -0/+1Klipsch speakers are awesome! Can't beat 'em for cinema!
- SpykerSpeed, on 04/10/2008, -0/+1Digg users are hilariously paranoid about Kevin Rose. It's not like he gives a crap about what you think about his home theater system. He just did this for fun.
- fenixconnektion, on 04/09/2008, -0/+1Ohhh, well then. I stand corrected.
- cyberdork, on 04/09/2008, -0/+1According to his qik videos he's now driving an Audi A3.
- fenixconnektion, on 04/09/2008, -1/+2Finally, Kevin is spendin' some of his well-earned Digg money. Next step, trading up from that VW Golf of his.
- coachmcguirk, on 04/09/2008, -1/+1Even Kevin Rose gets fanboys?..
- kilvano, on 04/10/2008, -0/+0I like the fact he hasnt gone all out and paid stupid money for a system that in all fairness would sound any better than the one he has. He may be worth $60 mill but that doesnt mean he has a lot of money in the bank. Im sure he does well (cause his apartment is lush!) but i like that he's still down to earth. (But for god sake...hide those cables!)
Did anyone see the American Chopper where they built the Klipsch bike? Built speaker under the seat...awesome! - Kbriggs, on 04/09/2008, -2/+2http://digg.com/tech_news/Kevin_Rose_Sets_Up_Home_ ...
- britblogger, on 04/09/2008, -1/+1anyone dropping two and a half grand on speakers deserves a great big pat on the back - nice job.
- Vst_kills, on 04/09/2008, -2/+1I'm almost positive he didn't pay retail for all that stuff. Kevin is to smart for that. I'm putting the total around $6k.
- spankteal, on 04/09/2008, -2/+1First off you can see the room, wood floor, parallel walls, big freaking window. No absorption anywhere so when he uses his massive sound system its going to leak right through the walls and the neighbors are going to complain (it looks like he's in some sort of apartment/condo situation with shared walls). There are going to be nodes and anti-nodes all over the place.
If the actual view of the room didn't clue you to the specs of the room. Just the sound of him talking and the amount of reverb slapping back and forth off of everything in the room should have been enough. - oldhick, on 04/09/2008, -2/+1I wanna brag about my system now, but then I'll sound like a douche... His system looks pretty bad ass!
- mywhitenoise, on 04/09/2008, -2/+1Mine's almost as good as his, haha (okay not really, my receiver retailed for around $1600, and his floor speakers are way better than mine).
- J3bu, on 04/09/2008, -4/+3He seemed to have quite a setup and I wanted to see something other than some horrible cameraphoneesque coverage of it.
- skull24, on 04/09/2008, -2/+1Wow, $9040 on a entertainment system. God your rich Kevin or Am I just that poor.
- deadnoob, on 04/09/2008, -2/+1OVER 9000!!!!!!!
- cIprO, on 04/09/2008, -2/+1I don't care if it wasn't Kevin's setup, it still is pretty sweet setup. I'm probably (hopefully) going to setup my own home theater soon, so I for one think it was a cool story.
- Ytse, on 04/09/2008, -3/+1Seeing as how that's nicer than anything I'll ever own in the foreseeable future, I think it's pretty sweet. Nice one, Kevin.
- spankteal, on 04/09/2008, -4/+1Haha, that room is a joke for good theater sound. I bet his Dolby "friend" was thinking the same thing when he walked in there. Oh how ignorant people are about good sound quality.
- vrikis, on 04/09/2008, -8/+4soooo awesome i want a setup like his
- inactive, on 04/09/2008, -6/+2And with good reason. The system is not good, even for that amount of money. The Klipsch speakers are ***** for that price. There are much better options in the market. The rest is short of ok, although the projector could have been a bit better as well.
BTW, it seems that Digg took off the Gizmodo story from the top upcoming list, while it was going up really fast.

It was there, going up super fast, and boom, gone. I guess Kevin doesn't like his AV gear to be criticized. - kalel90, on 04/09/2008, -7/+3Queue Kevin Rose fanboys blindly digging this article in 3... 2... 1------ and?

What is Digg?
