- FBK4SURE, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Even if it was 2 diggs this required to get to the front page. Just saw the solution to my A1000 Motorola phone which i thought was completely gone for life :)

- jguy584, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4bah digg me down
- tfogarty, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Nice! I actually don't have a cellphone (I'm 23 y.o.) but I love DIY stuff, and the linked site layout is simple and effective, so this gets a Digg.
Heh, probably get modded down for being nearly the only working, IT professional without a mobile. :D - NightRush, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4you know hes not gonna reply.
- decemberfall, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Man this is great, but I always have the problem, that I can NEVER find mods for my phone, and when I do find them, they never work. So if anyone knows any good places to find mods for the Cingular 8125 it's made my HTC, please post. Seriously, the only hack I REALLY want is to be able to move my ringtones to the storage card. I've tried a registry editor, didn't work. Just post me some links. I'd leave my email but I don't feel like getting slammed. Thanks guys!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I just use a sledge-hammer ala Patrick Norton.
- ZombieFlanders, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I have all this dust inside my Motorola RAZR's screen that I couldn't blow out with compressed air. You can't look at that phone outside without shielding it from any light greater than it's own. Tomorrow, I'm getting some torx screws and cleaning that bitch!
- raccettura, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I repaired a few LG's over the past 2 years. They have a number to call for parts. Not bad, much cheaper than going to your service provider for repairs. Parts ship overnight. Just replace yourself and your up and running. Oh yea, no long waits for repairs.
- Cynicalsomethin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1www.xda-developers.com has everything you'll ever need for the 8125 (Or any model of the HTC Wizard)
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Did you check for clips? Nasty little buggers, they've caused many a scratch during disassembly :( :P
- NightRush, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I believe the plastic screen (where the dust is trapped under) can be pried off, However, eventually you will loose the stickiness of the glue...
- Robertsk8, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2AHH nothing for my Palm Treo 700w, pshh the thing frezzes every other second. hey Kevin did you ever sell yours?

xoxox - kalah205, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's a great idea if you have the patience and tools to open one up and have a go at it -- I fix phones for a living and I hear it all the time -- "I thought I could do it myself" -- take your time and be careful! Kudos to Mr. Rose for his comprehensive assembly of info~
- sdhire, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I tried to fix my own cell phone by open it up and .... finnally i screwed up and the phone became useless.....
