- xstonedogx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This is really interesting. The original digg still doesn't have more than nine diggs, but this one is already over a hundred.
While digg appears to have had the story first (since the original digg was twenty-two days ago), the relative success of this dupe seems to indicate a good number of "digg whores" who find something on /. and bring it here - regardless of whether or not it is a dupe (or in this case, a trip).
If this is truly worthy of being dugg, why wasn't the original story dugg? Granted, front page exposure is probably responsible for a large percent of the diggs, but the story already had a decent number of diggs before it ended up on the front page. - jimmiem, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Nobody seems to be thinking about the fact that this mouse only charges when your laptop is on. Depending on the battery life I'm not sure if this mouse would make much sense, if my laptop is on, my mouse is generally being used.
- oxnyx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Neat idea but this adds new meaning to did you wash and DRY your hands before using your computer? I can just see some sugar from a donut cause issues with your pcmcia port... or even a bit of water and it's fried. :(
- diggnationdevon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I wouldn't like it.
- coolfrood, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That's the most unergonomic mouse I've ever seen. Wouldn't want to use that.
- phpkerouac, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1dont think it will be that great to use for mor than 5 minutes at a time - and for that just use the touchpad.
take an oblong post it pad. if new, rip the top half of the sheets off. hold that like you would a mouse. doenst feel that great - sure it's hella portable - but wont feel that good on the hands after a few minutes of use. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It doesnt really look practical..
- Eric4, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yea...I argree with coolfrood. I like regular sized mice that you can grasp easily and fast. I can't imagine trying to play a first person shooter or doing photoshop work. Awesome idea, but a bit too small for my taste.
- Gimpy987, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1$69.95 according to this site... A little pricy in my opinion.

"If you're like any normal person, you hate your laptop touchpad, you know wireless mice are a drag and a normal mouse is just too bulky. Newton peripherals' Mogo Mouse comes to the rescue! The tiny thing resembles a network card and fits into the laptop's card slot for easy storage and quick charging (less than an hour). Bluetooth enabled, it fits nicely into the palm of your hand. If your laptop does not support Bluetooth, a Bluetooth USB dongle will solve your problem. Priced at $69.95. Mogo Mouse via craigjamieson" - dizzyd_23, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1for people calling DUPE, when this mouse was unveiled on digg, it was not yet available for purchase in the US. Hence the FINALLY! in the title.
- Jerk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Finally a reason to have that damn PC Card slot on the side of my Powerbook!
- Mattman723, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I second Zachariah. I don't think I like a rectangular mouse.
- Amplix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That doesn't look comfortable at all.
Sorry I can't digg this - gmikej, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's expensive- but it actually makes me want to buy another laptop- just for the geek factor alone.
Oh and it is actually INNOVATIVE - imtigger2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"mouse looks amazing, but it wont give me the price..no digg"
I'm SURE he's gonna be just devistated without your little digg. Look up the price yourself! *****' pussy. - Starcraper, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0but now i cant put both my remote for my laptop and my mouse... what a dilemma!!!
- Invid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Cool...I like that the silver goes with my D610. Integrated bluetooth is awesome for phone syncing, DUN and mice. Get it on your next notebook, and toss the dongles.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nice. I might just get this for my Intel PowerBook when I buy one.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That looks really uncomfortable. I'd hate to use that ten or twelve hours a day. Rather than a portable mouse, I just have a wireless optical mouse at the office that I plug into my powerbook's USB port and then a second one at home at my desk. Anywhere inbetween, I can deal with the trackpad for an hour or two.
- p3lEr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nice....
- theone3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Great! Someone finally made this! I've been tossing that idea around in my head for a while now, amazed that they don't exist!
Thanks for the heads up. - Anargeek77, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Technology is SWeet
- Omicron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0really not necessary. my logitech V200 is perfect (has a scroll wheel unlike the V500 and it's cheaper!). the dongle connects to the underside of the mouse when not in use. easy to connect. and simple to store in a carrying case... i mean seriously... who DOESN'T have a carrying case for their notebook?
- bytor7, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Awesome find! I would give it a try.
- Greenline, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I want to know the price!!!! would love one!
- tmcleroy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Mogo? that is the gayest name ever. but the mouse looks cool

This dude is the MAN.
Always good crit of what is truely DIGG.COM
Yes.
Continue the good fight. - webdwarf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Nobody seems to be thinking about the fact that this mouse only charges when your laptop is on. Depending on the battery life I'm not sure if this mouse would make much sense, if my laptop is on, my mouse is generally being used."
Excellent point jimmiem - alceria, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Great idea but I doubt I'd use it, it just doesn't look like it would be comfortable.
- rajid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0... Still looking for a bluetooth trackball... :(
But this is pretty cool anyway! - kosibar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0My Microsoft laptop mouse has a receiver that fits right into the bottom of the mouse. Might be nice if they could find a way to snap the receiver into this mouse (thought I'm sure it's pretty tight in there) so it can be stored in the slot with the mouse.
- Slick50, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Either that woman has man hands, or that guy has really long nails...
- makario, on 09/03/2009, -0/+0Nice idea...I might get one, but like a lot of guys have said already, I don't want to pay seventy bucks for Carpel Tunnel and discomfort, and I already use my PCI.
Still, it's worth a digg. - jk_baller23, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0pretty good idea, but wonder how your hand will feel after about 30 minutes of use.
- edsonmedina, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Jeesuz! Look at those nails!!
- freshcope66, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0ehh how would you store it on a mac, for a pc laptop its sweet but not sure bout the mac users, it looks like a PowerPoint slide changer remote. not for me
- sgtkillmore, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nice for when you're on the move. i love it.
- nnonix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It looks like it wouldn't shovel much poop. It would take me all day to clean out the barn with this. I don't like it, mostly because i spent all my money already and mommy won't give me any more. I'll try to convince everyone that what I have is the best.
P.S. Since almost everyone else had something stupid to say I figured I'd join in with the above statement. I believe it follows the logic of many of the comments.
This is a great product. Nothing is perfect but the guy who thought this up deserves an award. Great thinking. Great product (assuming it does what it says). - Warptera, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ugh, it looks like they threw ergonomics straight out the window...
- jnmlmz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The pcgrabber.com add list three sites that have the mouse for $29.95. But when you click the open button it is for the wireless microsoft mouse.
- astral16, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0not enough laptops come with bluetooth as a standard
- cdmarcus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Holy *****, I want one of those. Unfortunately, the thing's way too expensive to be worth it. Also, my notebook has only 1 PCMCIA slot.
- NeilM, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That "is" pretty frickin' sweet.
- haid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Looks ideal for Powerbooks because they have a PC slot & integrated bluetooth
- WPFever, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The more you look at it the more you want it.
- CoreBurn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Even though it takes sooo much effort, and it's sooo hard to unplug a USB device, I'd still rather take my normal mouse with me. :)
- d03boy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This looks about as comfortable as using the touchpad on the laptop... I dont really see the point.
- Mutifus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nice idea, but what a crap mouse!
- dissident, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0ingenius idea, but I think I'll just use the usb microsoft mouse I use now... stores nicely in my laptop case... of course I'd never use those touchpad things on the laptop itself..
