- MonsterChaOS, on 10/11/2007, -1/+78Gyration beat them to this by many years.
- BaoUnit, on 10/11/2007, -2/+44"The flying mouse."
If I pay $150 for a mouse, it better fly. - brufleth, on 10/11/2007, -1/+17Yeah all our conference rooms have gyration mice. This is non story spam.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+16Admittedly, the mouse looks beautiful. However, I have found that mice that have a low profile don't offer much support for the wrist... and over a period of time... pain accompanies my pretty mouse.
- Error601, on 10/11/2007, -1/+15Nintendo was not the first to come up with that idea. They generally suck to use as a mouse so they've never caught on.
- MikeonTV, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12Yeah, who cares. I've had this for 2 years now and love it.

- edz0nk, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9Commercial (apparently it's being marketed to 17year old rap-consumers. Epic fail from marketing department!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NYAd3kEShI - acu8509, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8I thought it was an actual animal mouse waiving. I almost retracted myself from the church of the dramatic chipmunk.
- loveddevol, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7i'll stay with my Logitech MX revolution
- clarksbrother, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4I have a couple of the Gyration mice and keyboards. Good quality overall - not a huge fan of the mice. The motion sensing/waving around in the air thing works well enough, but frankly, its not practical for regular and even gaming computer use. Consoles have a lot of auto-correction and auto-aiming built in which helps accomadate the imprecise nature of waving the controller around in the air - thats something you just wont get on a regular PC. I'd save my money and just get a nice $50 laser mouse instead.
- heyitsgarrett, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6Annnnd there's a visual I didn't need
- dheaddy, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5How can someone manage to misspell 'Nintendo'
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4This may or may not take carpal tunnel to a new level.....
- Mc_Carter, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4dugg for looking like a spaceship
- notfaded1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4I still have my original gyration and it's radio with 30' range... this isn't new as monstercaos pointed out.
- Jowsley, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4I'm another that's been happily using a gyration mouse for well over a year. It works great for an HTPC setup as long as you remember to put it back in it's charging dock when you're done.
- pictureDIGGER, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Really, $160 is not that expensive for something that I use more than say, a cell phone/iPod.
- gregm, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4I got mine on Woot! when they kept selling them over and over. $40 for an awesome mouse + keyboard that works at 30 feet is sweet.
- indraneel24, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3i'd rather have the mx revolution.
- trollick, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Because who does not want to sit in front of a computer and wave like a crazy person.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4This would obviously be useless for desktop computing, but a killer feature for media PCs and for presentations.
- techmaster7b, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Ha, it is funny to see how ignorant people are when it is compared to a Wii controller. Hey MrBabyMan, this has been done years ago, even before the Wii.
- Rojahon, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I had a gyro mouse once (didn't really like it) but it would only move the cursor when you held down the trigger, so once you moused over an icon you just let go of the trigger and double click.
- 15charmaxwtf, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3looks like a handleless hairdryer
- ihascheezburger, on 10/11/2007, -7/+9The wiimote has all those features and a few more. And its quite a bit cheaper too. All you need is bluetooth and free drivers that can be found on the net. [^^]
- K3ITHK, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3This would be good for presentations.
- petereality, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1is it just me or is the workflow not cohesive? if i want to type something, i have to put down my mouse every time. doesn't make sense.
- petereality, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I don't know whether to call you a gamer or a flamer
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1stick it to a toy gun......HEADSHOT
- cyranthus, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1this isnt new technology. There is two different kinds of these from Gyration at my workplace. But I do have to say it looks pretty ***** sexy.
- DiggaDave, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I think this mouse is designed way better. The Gyration mice are ugly
- CentraSpike, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1the previously posted you tube video shows that it's a hybrid.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NYAd3kEShI - asforme, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1These would be great for my media center, except that both the logitech and the gyration (as far as their sys reqs go) only work in windows. I can use my wiimote to control my linux media center.
- Terr01, on 10/11/2007, -3/+4Feh, young kids and their silly fripperies!
But seriously, arm strain. The main reason the Wii can get away with it is because it's a game, and there's a large range of movement you can do. Plus, if you have to put it down and pick it up every time you type... - 48h69h, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Odd, I actually find it very easy to hold the wiimote steady.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1that would be crazy playing counter strike with
- malhtiek, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1On logitech.com
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/mice_pointers/mice/devices/3443&cl=us,en - Punch405, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1So why isn't a flying mouse just called a bat?
- dafragsta, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1It looks like that ship from Flight of the Navigator, except it has black accents.
- djcraze, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Gyration=Better.
- 12340987, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1it's different when it's logitech. The only place I've seen gyrations is in conference rooms. I imagine this will be all over stores and a maybe even few people's homes.
- mike23w, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1horrible music!
- neodorian, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I've had one of these for a while now (older model). Got it free from work because it needed a new battery pack. We use it for our bigscreen/HTPC all the time.
- Yaroslav, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1There IS already a lot of wireless presentation devices, for a reasonable price. Use'em.
- Dustmuffins, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I wonder what it would be like to play an fps with this.
- macwisdom, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1OK! fine!
Were is the Mac support? - ryanspahn, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Yes gyration = hand held mouse i've been using for 5 years that allows me to surf the net 10 feet away with PC hooked up to LCD TV, is way better!
- Yaroslav, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1iMouse. Works only for AT&T customers.
- zeejay, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I have a wired Gyration mouse that's gotta be 10-12 years old. They used to have actual spinning gyroscopes in them to detect motion, although I suspect that's changed.... This is a very, very old concept.
We've got one in our conference room at my job, but everybody who uses it just puts it on the table and uses it like a regular mouse. Using it in the air becomes tiresome and kind of annoying after a while. I can't say why... it just does. -
