EDIT: If each "fact" is stored as a series of connections in your brain (and I think it could be vaguely described as so), then I guess it would just be the number of possible pathways, which would be a permutation operation that depends on the coordination number of brain cells, and the number of brain cells that are used for "memory". There are a lot of sources on Google -- but the general consensus is 10^14 operations per second. I've seen as low as 10^12 and as high as 10^16 based on various criteria so I went with middle of the road.
Also, what's quite amazing is that all that power is fed with just 30 watts of power. I'd like to see Intel try that one in the next 10 years (space, power, speed). - Rudegar, on 07/06/2008, -0/+21defrag will take a year :S
