Wie DQ'd - Doesn't Sign Card - Costs Big $
msn.foxsports.com — And with that, Wie was gone from a tournament where either the $255,000 winner's purse or the $155,252 second prize would have put her comfortably within the top 80 money winners for the year - and virtually guaranteed her a place on the LPGA Tour next year.

- uptown, on 07/20/2008, -0/+3Thank goodness! I was afraid there was going to be some common-sense left in some aspect of our lives. Had they allowed her to sign her card after the fact, there's no telling the tear in the nation's moral fabric that would have occurred. Good to see the LPGA is there to protect us all from rational thinking and human error. I can rest easy.
- swordedge, on 07/20/2008, -0/+1This is the second time she did that. MAYBE she will learn to be more careful.
And uptown, it's in the rule book and if you break the rule for anybody, then you must allow everybody to break the rules. You only hear about this one cause it's wie and she was in 2nd place. IF this happens to someone in 68th place and nobodies ever heard of her, then you would not see the story reported anywhere, never mind the front page of my.yahoo.com
