- jaredongie, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1It's funny - every two years or so, the 'experts' begin to debate whether or not Tiger is in a slump; then he promptly wins in dramatic fashion.
A player as great as Tiger is never in a slump - he's the favorite every time he steps onto the course. He can strike at any moment (like Sunday at Muirfield.)
It's a privilege to watch him play. I actually got to see him in person this year at Quail Hollow in Charlotte - that's a story I'll pass along to my grandchildren. - tooker, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1He's on track to be but still has to beat Jack's number of 18 majors which seems inevitable at this point.
- tooker, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1If any expert did use the term 'slump' to describe Tiger so far this year, they shouldn't be considered experts. Before this week he played 6 events, had 5 top 10's and a win. Hard to define that as a slump, even for Tiger. If anything he's just been rusty. He said in some interviews that up until this week he hasn't been able to practice as much after a round as he normally would like to because of the knee.

- stifrontman, on 06/08/2009, -0/+1Nobody was paying attention when he took his second shot on the 18th yesterday. We were all standing around just waiting for Tiger, when somebody yells "ball!", and as we all turned his shot just fell from nowhere and stuck right next to the hole. It was awesome.
- ibklutzy, on 06/21/2009, -0/+0Tiger may be ready for the Open but the Open was not ready for him or any other golfer that is not a duck. That first wave of golfers on Thursday got the short end of the draw to be sure as did the paying gallery.
