Take it for what it is... good for a laugh. Anyone who has golfed knows what a terribly frustrating game it can be, and it only adds to the hilarity to put someone like Bob Knight in your shoes and see what colorful curses he comes up with every time he shanks one into the bunker.
I'm guessing the people critiquing this are the same people who argue over realism in action movies.
