- walshgopher, on 07/14/2008, -1/+183Actually that octopus can easily escape through any size hole with a diameter which is larger than its beak, the only solid part of its body. They're also incredibly intelligent and can open jars and unlocked latches of varying complexity. A lot of aquariums and labs HAVE to lock the octopus tank shut. There have been instances where the octopus escapes and travels to a nearby tank full of delicious fish. In one particular instance, the octopus then returned to its tank and was only discovered through security cameras. In another aquarium a giant octopus was responsible for the death of several sharks. The keepers had been worried about the safety of the octopus when they moved it into the tank. :) You may be wondering, if I love octupi so much why don't I marry them? Not until the church recognizes what we have.
- btschul, on 07/14/2008, -9/+188That was the sexiest thing I have ever seen.

- Anfidurl, on 07/13/2008, -3/+108Wow. That's freaky, seeing them squeeze their head (and brain) through.
- Brotodeau, on 07/14/2008, -6/+111that is, quite literally, an octopus escaping through a one-inch hole
- machambi, on 07/14/2008, -2/+99reminds me of my sons birth.similar concept ..

- The2ndAct, on 07/14/2008, -3/+65I had to look this up:
A fictional occult phrase from H. P. Lovecraft's The Call of Cthulhu, said to mean "In his house at R'lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming". - HydrogenY, on 07/14/2008, -1/+51Marriage is such an outdated institution. What I was actually wondering is what on Earth does a beak job feel like?
- samoan27, on 07/14/2008, -1/+49Octopi are a lot smaller than I was led to believe as a kid.
- snareguy17, on 07/14/2008, -2/+49Reminds me of that new Fox show "So you think you're an octopus and can squeeze out of a one inch hole?"
- epadafunk, on 07/14/2008, -8/+54http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVxwHhP-mbc

- LoveAndSeagulls, on 07/14/2008, -2/+43yeah finally a replacement for gerbils.

- lamiaconfitor, on 07/14/2008, -0/+22step one: cut a hole in a box...
- wfish, on 07/14/2008, -0/+21That's a small Octopus. They get considerably larger. And and Octopus of that size could fit through an even smaller hole. I've seen them hanging out in old soda bottles when diving.
- Borgcube636, on 07/14/2008, -1/+21Flexibility http://www.houseoftravis.net/jason/inspirational/f ...
- pigducksheep, on 07/14/2008, -0/+20Sneaking into your ex's bathroom while she's bathing and throwing a tiny cube with an octopus and a hole in it into the bath? How is that even a prank and how is that not going to get you arrested?
- ligyron, on 07/14/2008, -1/+21Wasn't there an article on Digg a couple days ago talking about Octopi being easily prone to stress? This can't be helping
- Zdax, on 07/14/2008, -8/+27I want that thing dead. D:
- TheKitchenSinkX, on 07/14/2008, -1/+20That was incredibly well done.
I've never been caught off guard so hard before. - andrewbr500, on 07/14/2008, -2/+21Too easy. Next time do it with at least some handcuffs and a blindfold. Then it's real magic.
- 0scar, on 07/14/2008, -0/+18Octopuses are pretty smart. I remember an instance of rare fish disappearing from their tanks at the Vancouver Aquarium. They thought that someone was stealing the fish to sell to collectors, so they set up security cameras. Turns out that it was one of the octopuses leaving it's own tank through the filtration system, and cruising around the aquarium for late night snacks. The amazing thing is that is was able to make it back into it's own tank before the aquarium opened the following morning.
- zephyrnug, on 07/14/2008, -4/+22it's like that gross japanese porn i once saw.... just think about it.... it's gross
- DeathJux, on 07/14/2008, -0/+18Intelligent invertebrates freak me out.
- inactive, on 07/14/2008, -0/+18How dare you compare that spineless slimy creature with an octopus
- psevium, on 07/14/2008, -0/+17I would so pay to see an octopus swimming around and breaking out of its tank to attack some sharks, then sneak back, then spot the security cam and slap its forehead
- Yaanu, on 07/14/2008, -1/+18Video or it didn't happen.
- adidos, on 07/14/2008, -0/+17That makes me not want to go skinny dipping in the ocean...ever.
- majestichazard, on 07/14/2008, -2/+19LOVE it! Especially the part where the cat tries to get back through the other way.
- vade79, on 07/14/2008, -0/+16Octopuses are awesome. How dare you, sir.
