http://www.neatorama.com/images/2006-05/transparent-toaster.jpg - mikeyj10, on 10/12/2007, -0/+22I just wanted to say, that is cool. At least I got that out before the Intelligent Design vs. Evolution debate begins.
- EGOvoruhk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20More pictures here: http://digg.com/tech_news/Transparent_Butterfly
Note: I am not saying "dupe". This is a digg from a long time ago, with different pictures. I'm just adding on-topic stuff - idonthack, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15@billymachine
It's not fake. I've seen them. - ZebraGang13, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14even the animals are using vistas glass
- Harabeck, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14This butterfly is friends with the bannana.

- ragnorok999, on 10/12/2007, -8/+19That's pretty cool...
- seventoes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8woah! Where can i buy??
- 0xDEAD, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11Interesting, but nothing special. Have you not seen a dragonfly before?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7...you need to get out more. :-)
- Arkonnan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5That kind of reminds me of my Beryl/Xgl desktop for some reason.
- iAmGeek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Yea but you see.... the wings of a dragonfly are completely transparent.(The ones in my neighborhood anyway.) The wings of the butterfly, however, look more like artwork, like those glass panes in churches.(I think that's what they call them.)
- dSlifer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I was going to say it was like the new Vista version of a butterfly :D
- Murdats, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5uh, so those 3 diff butterflies on the stem all happened to be lined up just right
- Domitory, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4trendy butterfly;)
- bwjacket, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4It's funny how life's little oddities like this are both an argument for the "intelligent design" crew, and the "majesty of evolution" backers. Either way, gorgeous.

- scratched, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I believe the word the poster was looking for in the summary was inhabit, not habitat

- PRlME, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3this post is inaccurate i can see the butterfly its not Invisible.
- 1iProd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Sweet, I thought it was gonna be more transparent though... Very cool critter, nontheless.
- axox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I need to get out more.
To me this was just a Vista version of a butterfly. Pretty much the same functionality* but now with transparencies.
*(not hating on Vista) - tenken, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This indeed would make a great new villain on Venture Brothers ;)
- toMatto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That's really cool. It's like stained glass.
- MonkeyMonk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Very cool. Somedays you just need a reminder of how much nature rocks.
- JorgeGT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1poor, poor lonely Hubble...
- afzilla, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Flies have transparent wings too
- blynder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Slashdot effect. I guess the little guys are going to need an agent.
- seqiro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0For those of you in the Northeast who might want to see one of these in person, the Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory in South Deerfield, MA has these flying around. I took a picture of one over the summer.

- vishnuwayanad, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0It is a different one...
- moock1337, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0well it would be pretty hard to post pictures of something that is completely invisible. Dont you think.
- kingfoot, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4wow I guess its got the flower imitating bugs beat! invisible no, cool hell yes!
- Locke40, on 10/12/2007, -7/+5i like that little guy... i also like nature a lot, especially when i'm high
- dtreese, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1Yeah. Those butterflies are the stuff my birthday suit's made out of.
- fatfinger, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1Atheists are retarded. They can't explain themselves or the world around them so they say that something this beautiful happens by chance. The only thing that happens by chance to atheists is them getting laid.
Before you Digg down this comment, the bottom line is that nobody is getting out of here alive. And when you do die, it will be time to meet your maker. BWHAHAHAHAHA
Oh yeah, the earth was not created in 6,000 years you dumb *****. I think Yahweh(god) would rather people keep it real and use common sense then too try and act all holy when we're truly not. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2i wanna shoot it with my bb-gun.
