- ThinkBox, on 10/12/2007, -1/+43I think i speak for all of us when I say we would rather see Dr. Crusher vs Leia, if ya knowwhatimean
- beelz, on 10/12/2007, -3/+40Use the force Jean-luc, use the force
- Kimi3013, on 10/12/2007, -2/+36I think it's sad that I can remember the shows where each of the Star Trek shots are coming from, and can think of some other ones that would fit better... I need to get out more...
- Elbryan233, on 10/12/2007, -3/+35no kimi, that just makes you awesome.
- breakneckridge, on 10/12/2007, -2/+33Could've had smoother edits, but cool nonetheless.
- baraqiyal, on 10/12/2007, -4/+33Well, I'm glad that's finally settled.
- illegalamigo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22in related news, nerds everywhere find closure
- BassCadet, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21You would think that someone who spends all the time to make that could spell "Darth Vader" correctly.
- mfratt, on 10/12/2007, -12/+31Data > R2D2
- natmaster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19"...unquestionable Fact (in my opinon)." LOL, that's good stuff.
- t3hNinj4, on 10/12/2007, -2/+18It was amusing, but the execution was sloppy. A similar, but far more awesome, video was Neo vs. Robocop:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gE0G38orso&search=neo%20vs%20robocop.
Neo fights Robocop in the office building entrance with the pillars, and for good measure Yoda, Clint Eastwood and some kind of mech join in too.
Also check out Alien vs. Predator vs. Batman:

Neither is your fictional sex-life. Anyone who accuses people of being virgins is either one themself, or still at the age where virginity has some kind of significance. Once you get past the age of 18ish, the only time you'd ever use the word 'virgin' is when talking about Richard Branson's company or Jesus Christ's mother.
As for the video, great stuff. - NSMike, on 10/12/2007, -3/+18I happen to be a fan of both fictional universes, but I would say this:
Barring incredible, laws-of-physics-breaking technologies, Star Wars vessels would be PACKED with generators and capacitors capable of holding and generating the charges needed to fire their weapons and maintain their shields. If anything, Star Trek vessels are more scientifically realistic (despite the extremely unrealistic nature of either universe). Besides which, comparing Star Trek and Star Wars in any way is like comparing apples to oranges. Star Trek has always been a medium for delivering powerful social and political commentary, moral stories, and just flat out interesting story-telling (the popular time-travel episodes are examples of that). Although, with DS9, some Trekkers detested the Soap-Opera nature of some of the episodes. Star Wars, in its original form, was mainly a child's story of good vs. evil, a love story, and action films. The last time Star Wars took on political issues, Star Wars fans mourned the loss of simplicity in the story (i.e. any of the new films).
The fact is, both stylistically and fundamentally, Star Trek and Star Wars are two completely different entities. Neither is better than the other, and both have their own merits and faults. - digguser01, on 10/12/2007, -5/+20http://www.stardestroyer.net/Empire/Essays/FiveMinutes.html
- natmaster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16Worm holes are both a spacial AND temporal anomoly.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+21BOO!
No one wins!
Star wars could easily own them, they:
-greatly outnumber them, have thousands of ships
-all have sheilds
-have tractor beam, could use that
-they have more firepower, gun turrents everywhere
-They got deathstar (and you know that they got it), they got deathstar (and you know that they got it)
Come to think of it, a single star destroyer could own them, those things are HUGE, they would dwarf the enterprise - XxN3RDC0R3xX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13If an Imperator-class Star Destroyer REALLY wanted to do damage, it would give a full broadside.
- Lososaurus, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13Picard, invariably.
If anyone says Janeway, go sit outside and don't come back in until you change your mind. - Agret, on 10/12/2007, -6/+16how about you use the reply button when replying to someone? it's there for a reason. All these people with substandard iqs on digg...

- Technopundit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Hey Klingon! That Wookie said he's gonna kick your ass!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+14This reminds me of the Starfleet Command Starwars mod.
It's obvious that the Enterprise would win. They are the good guys. Even a Star Wars fan could name at least 3 characters on the Enterprise, a Trekkie could probably name a dozen... On the other hand the Star Wars ship is just full of nameless "red shirts".
And purely on stats, Enterprise would win hands down. The enterprise operates independently, their officers and crew are trained to take initiative and improvise. On the other hand Star Wars people are like the Soviets, not a single independent thought in the entire collection, just a strict hierarchy that is slow to react and inefficient at every level in the chain of command. - Kimi3013, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10I think that a Prometheus class star ship would prove effective against that with it's milti-vector assault mode (it splits into three bits basically.)
- speedyrev, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11so is your englishish =)
- MonkeyFit, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers.

Borg we are. Win we will. Use the Force we do. - DocXango, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Here is the link to AVP+B. The edits are much smoother in the Neo V Robocop and AVP+B videos, but I'm a Trekkie at heart.

edit: How about a +digg for digg, "Trekkie" is in the spell checker... - t0dd, on 10/12/2007, -7/+15Hmmm the enterprise must have flown in a temporal anomaly AND a worm hole because star trek take place in the future in earth's quadrant of the milky way and star ways took place "A Long Time Ago in a Galaxy Far, Far Away"
- omnithought, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Well, Star Wars has Jar Jar. and not even Q could focus when that annoying bastard is around. Especially if Jar Jar was singing "We Built This City". That's pure suicide fixins right there.
- mcbarron, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7... and when talking about olive oil. Then you get to look for those "extra" virgins.
- omnithought, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10Heh, Picard ran like a wuss.
That said...both Star Trek and Star Wars could use better dialogue writers. - 1337geek, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10no one wins, how stupid
- bluecc, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10Why is sex the end all of everything? There are millions of other things to do. It just so happens that the ficitonal worlds of Trek and Star Wars are more interesting to some people.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Did anyone read the credits at the end?
Cmd. Ricker as himself
Darth Vador as himself
Darth Sithious as himself
Are you kidding me?! - pauldonnelly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Who is Leah?
- foolfromhell, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5YouTube finally experiencing the downside of streaming 30 million videos a day, I wonder how they manage to make a profit in the long run with all the bandwidth costs.
- adml_shake, on 10/12/2007, -4/+9Sisko owns all...
- SakisRakis, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6If you look at the specs a shot from a turbo laser battery would decimate the enterprise.
- harlowsmonkeys, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7This was effectively answered on TNG. I don't recall the name of the episode, but it is the one where they encountered a peaceful planet that was trying to sweep under the rug its specially-developed super soldiers that had been used in past wars (which I think they also were trying to sweep under the rug...). These guys had powers that were similar, but more limited, than Jedi powers. A single one of them, in an unarmed or lightly armed single person ship, was able to defeat the Enterprise.
So, given Darth Vader, the Enterprise would not stand a chance. - dougdug, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5now, if only Kirk v. Picard could be settled, the internet would finally know peace ...
- alephnaught, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Why didn't the Enterprise use the deflector dish to reverse the polarity on the deathstar laser? Geez...
- foolfromhell, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4They just gotta let loose River onto the ship. Hopefully the Star Trek Universal Translator wont translate "stop" to the secret word.
- cyberghost232, on 10/12/2007, -8/+12Dr. Crusher is hot as *****.
- EricTheGrey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Now there is an absolutely terrifying thought. Borg assimilating a Jedi. Imagine the possibilities.
EtG - mdshort, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Dude the Q owns the force hands down (no pwn intended :P), can Jedi alter the fabric of reality? I think not.
- Chompy, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8"Star wars could easily own them"
All the Enterprise has to do is get in close enough to beam a torpedo or twenty onto the bridge of any Star Wars ship. If that's not powerful enough, replicate up a few 100 megaton nukes to do the job. They'd be back home in time for corn flakes. Oh, and I guess they'd need a 5 year old on board to tell them about this trick, they could have saved alot of trouble with the Borg by doing this.
Shields? Ok, give the Enterprise that phasing cloak and have them sneak up on a Star Wars ship and do the same. - jfinke, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8They should have just blown up the enterprise..
- zacharychaos, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7Dude in Star Trek: Generations one renegade scientist on his own was able to destroy a star. It was like a do-it-yourself approach to interplanatary terrorism. I think ST wins on that front.
