wiki has a better one
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MythBusters_%28season_5%29 - Sphonix, on 10/11/2007, -1/+72Huh... "If a cable snaps, it can cut a person in two. Busted"... Well if it can cut someones FEET off, I could imagine it could potentially cut someone in half. Maybe a revisit.
- Metlprocker, on 10/11/2007, -2/+39Can a page listing all the Mythbusters be busted by Digg - Confirmed

- kakti, on 10/11/2007, -8/+30Cool thanks for this, I've been wanting a webpage just like this for a while now
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14http://digg.com/general_sciences/Results_from_EVERY_myth_ever_tested_on_MythBusters
Please.... you can't tell me this didn't come up when you submitted this. - GlenLeafJr, on 10/11/2007, -1/+13Because I've never biked along a highway?
- bsmang, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9I like the MythBusters, but they're not always 100% right. They tested to see if smacking two hammers together could produce dangerous projectiles - which is quite possible and even likely, as I've seen it happen a number of times including one instance which left a chip of hardened steel embedded permanently in my left thigh... But they called it 'busted' because they couldn't do it with a few super-hard, handle-breaking hits. They needed to try it out using much lighter (ordinary) force and many blows. I meant to go on their website and protest, but never got around to it.
- mcscooter, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8Next MythBusters: Your crappy server can handle DIGG Frontpage traffic.
- Error601, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6I know a guy in the Navy that had a leg cut off when a tow cable on a ship snapped, so it's definitely possible. I don't think he was faking the metal leg. If I remember that episode right, the power scale was way too small.
- Kahnza, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Unless you are one of the people that like to learn all kinds of stuff and how stuff works. Knowledge is power.
- bandhftw, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7Got a nice 403 page while looking through the myths.
- PixelVision, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6I've been waiting for somebody to debunk the debunkers. A lot of the tests done by Mythbusters are fun to watch and all, but they're not always under the tightest of conditions.
- Elliuotatar, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6That person's feet were tangled in the cable and yanked off. That's totalyl different from being cut off by the force of the cable striking them.
- rarson, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4I cannot follow this new commenting system. Is anyone else having a hard time following which comments are in response to which posts?
When a comment expands two or three times within a thread, it gets a bit ridiculous having several reply boxes. Plus, I can't go back and find my replies without expanding all the comments first. - Edaren, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4or alternately, because who the hell bikes along a highway?
- randal2k, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_MythBusters_episodes
just click on " main article" links, and see a list for each season.
I just spent 30 minutes reading them .. great find. - resplence, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4"If you put a poodle in the microwave, it will dry its fur.
not tested
Adam and Jamie thought this myth was too cruel to test on a live animal, and did not carry it out."
Hmm why not just use a dummy with real poodle fur? - Piggycow, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Just curious but why do so many people smack together hammers around you?
- vawksel, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3This mythbusters list is pretty cool, unlike the new digg comment system.
- Evacide, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5a 403 forbidden error. amazing
- vinnyc, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I saw that episode. IF you are 2 feet away you can improve your gas efficiency by about 94%. Being up to ... 60 feet away (I believe) still improved by around 20% I dont remember exact numbers, but it was fairly impressive.
- seattlephantom, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I think there is always going to be that extreme freak accident that could never be duplicated in any way in the lab or real world testing. I'm sure your right, and they could have at least arrived at a plausible, but things like that are hard to duplicate.
- vawksel, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3If you are 100 feet away, it was still like a 20% savings in fuel efficiency.
At 2 feet away, your gas efficiency goes DOWN from being 10 feet away. The reason? You can't be steady enough on the throttle at two feet away, you are constantly slowing and speeding to try to maintain your distance. - johnham, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5@ kakti
Try Wikipedia? - Shiner6, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Because drying fur and drying fur and having the animal live are two different things.

- StrangeFamous, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2You mustn't! The mustache/beret combo is what gives Jamie his power! Take it away and he's just another ordinary human. For the sake of the children, let it be...
- miriclaire, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2you kiss your momma with that mouth? (Never mind- don;t wanna know!)
- 4eloBek, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I like this one! Death metal rox =)
Seven small greenhouses were set up on the M5 Industries roof. Four were set up with stereos playing endlessly looping recordings (as having the Mythbusters actually talk to the plants could contaminate the samples with their expelled carbon dioxide): Two of negative speech, two of positive speech (Kari and Scottie each made one positive and one negative soundtrack), a fifth with classical music and a sixth with intense death metal music. A seventh greenhouse, used as a control sample, had no stereo. The greenhouses with the recordings of speech grew better than the control, regardless of whether such talk was kind or angry. The plants in the greenhouse with the recording of classical music grew better, while the plants in the greenhouse with the recording of intense death metal grew best of all. - demodawid, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2http://www.drivl.com/myths/
- atomicflare, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2The site is alive again.
- speaker219, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2 Its still working just fine =/
- josh1413, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2if only they had videos of all of them on youtube

- internetslacker, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I must. The beret is evil, and I must get it to the hobbits so they can cast it in the lake of fire and do whatever the hell it is hobbits do with evil berets.
The moustache, I dunno, hell, I'll give it to the neighborhood kids to play with. - jubilee123, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2already been posted, already made the front page, except last time the server didn't crash
- Abennobashi, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2wtf?
- vawksel, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Because if they bust it, people will grab a real poodle, pop it in the microwave and try to prove them wrong.
If they say its confirmed, then people will grab a real poodle, pop in it the microwave and try to prove them wrong.
Don't ***** with animals. - seattlephantom, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Cut some ***** slack that was 168 days ago. Maybe there is a more complete list now, or maybe it didn't come up when it was submitted, or maybe it's perfectly alright considering I didn't see it 168 days ago so I appreciate the posting. Maybe I was too high to remember the story. Whatever the case, I had the option to open the story or not as well as anyone else that travels digg.
- nmilkosky, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2We don't need every one in every topic to say it. I like it, but every topic does not need the same comment. Go post it in the "Fix the Comment System" Topic.

- Shiner6, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1"Drafting at two feet was slightly lower than the ten foot distance, mainly because Grant had to keep working the car pedal to maintain distance from the truck"
