Not all praying mantises species are cannibalistic. Also, a praying mantis with its head ripped off is still capable of walking because their nervous system is distributed. They actually make pretty interesting pets and are very easy to care for. There were hundreds of these dragonflies at our house last summer so I'd let him out every now and then to go catch some. It was always like a where's waldo type game trying to find him after I let him out - didn't really mind if he got away - but was fun to try and find him. Once mantis's molt into their adult stage they get much more aggressive and will attach anything, so this was actually the day I let him go. - DieGOPNazis, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7It sucks to be a mouse.
