- SeethisPass, on 11/28/2007, -5/+16These transistors could be fantastic, or they could lead to human misery beyond historic levels. It all depends on the amount of greed that is employed in their use.
I'm hoping for lots of positive uses.- Markpdotcom, on 11/28/2007, -1/+2Um, what? How could they lead to human misery?
- revarien, on 11/28/2007, -2/+23Oh crap! Ted Stevens was right! A series of tubes!
- Kamill85, on 11/28/2007, -4/+3I srsly diggled on this
- CaviMike, on 11/28/2007, -1/+8I just want my roll-up TV.
- meed, on 11/28/2007, -6/+1From my experince plastic has a limited life span. While it would be nice to have this fibar running to my house, will it still be good for data transmission in 5+ years?
- meed, on 11/28/2007, -1/+4doh I miss clicked and then commented w/o reading the page. Then when I realized what I had done, I had run out of time to edit my comment. If only digg was more flexable when it comes to editing your comments.
- lime148, on 11/28/2007, -0/+1Or you could comment on articles after reading them.

- newprohibition, on 11/28/2007, -0/+1It seems this tech would benefit from (refrigerant/vapor) phase-change cooling systems to get them down to sub-zero Celsius temperatures. Same as an overclocker would use to get his 65nm Conroe or 45nm Penryn silicon CPU core in order to increase the operating frequency -- in order to get more clock cycles per second.
''These results are just the beginning,” Park said. “The technology needs lower temperatures for semiconducting SWNT growth, as well as higher transistor performance for real applications...'' - Ender008, on 11/28/2007, -0/+1Oh man, portable paper...I hate to see the implications this would have on porn...
I take that back, I'd love to see it.- positron, on 11/28/2007, -0/+1Yeah! Finally some paper that isn't a pain in the ass to drag around all over the place with you. No more having to buy your children pickup trucks just so they can haul their school supplies around! ;)
