- UGM2099, on 10/12/2007, -5/+193If you've ever taken a nude drawing course it only takes a little amount of time to get used to the naked woman, even with attractive models. If there is little or no sexuality a naked woman is just a human. I'd much rather see the random boob fall out of a shirt to get my public nudity jollies on.
- sterntastic223, on 10/12/2007, -18/+148Unless you're gay, right?
- AtHomeBoy2000, on 10/12/2007, -11/+126Naked is nice, but a seductively dressed woman is FAR sexier. Nice lingerie with high heels... OMG!
- sipsyrup, on 10/12/2007, -1/+86not polar bears.
- nottidredd, on 10/12/2007, -6/+90no, naked ladies no longer turn me on. Ever since the invention of the internet magazines don't do it for me. I have to have video and some real nasty hardcore *****. I'm talking about some midget on midget porn. throw in a donkey and now we have a party!!
- emjaymj, on 10/12/2007, -2/+69At the risk of getting dugg down, it looks like there are a lot of very insecure guys on digg. I'd have to agree, as does pretty much any guy I've ever met that's comfortable with themselves. There's no mystery when they're simply naked. Women have the potential to be so much more attractive and appealing with the right clothing.
- gaiden2k5, on 10/12/2007, -15/+80Do long ass articles about sex with no pictures interest me?
That would be a Hell No.
Yes to the title btw. - deadowl, on 10/12/2007, -3/+67Raise your hand if you've heard a girl say this: “all men are alike.”
- Raszagal, on 10/12/2007, -6/+69i think the billion dollar adult entertainment industry would say yes...

- kernelhappy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+57You're walking down the street and you encounter two women with fantasy bodies, one in a bikini and another in a low cut sweater, I'd bet dollars to donuts the one in the bikini is going to get your attention.
You walk down the next street and you encounter two woman with Yodel bodies, one is in a bikini and another in a low cut sweater, I'd bet big money again that this time the one in the low cut sweater is going to look like a t-bone steak next to a can of spam.
My point is, well I'm not quite sure what my point is, but I know I've gotten caught plenty of times checking out sweater puppies on a chick that would look like hell naked or in a bikini. Presentation matters, and sometimes leaving a little to the imagination allows for more creative license when filling in the blanks. Hot is hot whether they are in a bikini or a bhurka. - j0ew00ds, on 10/12/2007, -0/+47Yeah, that and you can't pay a naked woman to take her clothes off.
- GRTWHT, on 10/12/2007, -2/+49Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner!
Think about it, do 'gentleman's clubs' have buck naked women walking around everywhere? (for those that are too young or innocent, NO.) They have beautiful (at least if you've had enough to drink... in some cases) women dressed sexily, then they have them slowly and sensually remove their clothing. Teasing and anticipation make them more attractive and desirable than just 'lettin' it all hang out' right from the start.
People have been making tons of money for lots of lifetimes on this simple concept. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+46@ugm2099
I think you're partially right, but I think there's more to it than that. I spent some years working as a DJ at a exotic dance chain. Mostly I worked in one of the flagship clubs that had half a dozen large stages, a pair of transparent showers with internal lighting and a boxing ring for female topless boxing. We had a roster of over 200 girls and a huge turnover rate, so I got used to seeing hundreds of women naked every month. I'd also watch the effect that seeing the women had on our patrons. We'd have charter busloads of men come in from big cities all over New England and most of the time we wouldn't put them back on the bus until every last one of them was dead broke and couldn't get any more cash out of our ATMs.
Obviously a big part of my job was to help the girls put on a performance that would overwhelm the audience and separate them from their cash. A few things spring to mind when I recall that period in my life. First off, there's the casino effect. When most guys get inside a place like that they are overwhelmed. That's really the point. A woman doesn't always have to actually be beautiful as long as she's adorned with the trappings of beauty. In other words, if you could objectively look at a women with breast implants, razor burn on her genitals, skin that has been cooked like a chicken's to maintain perfect tan lines, hair extensions and a wardrobe largely made out of cheap, shiny nylon with some plastic and patent leather thrown in for good measure...well, she probably wouldn't have a very sexual effect on you. But put that same girl in a spotlight surrounded by flashing lights and cheering men and she's a goddess of sexuality. She's also behaving in a sexually lascivious manner that falls outside the realm of behavior that most of us are used to experiencing from the women in our lives.
There's also a rhythm to the performance. At the clubs I worked in we were running 12-minute 3-song sets. The performance has a pattern based on the economic realities of the job. Careful review of closed-circuit camera recordings of audiences has shown that when you constantly hustle the guys at the stage they will spend less time stageside than they will if you give them more breathing room. As long as they are seated at the stage and not back in the room somewhere they'll be spending considerably more money, so you want to keep them at the stage. So the 3-song pattern includes an Introduction song where the girl cannot solicit tips and must remain dressed. During this song she performs a lot like a runway model. This song is usually very short. The second song is the Striptease. This is where the girl can begin undressing. The idea is to lower the lights a little and make the striptease subconsciously remind the patron of the first time a new lover has undressed for him. That's obviously not the impression everyone takes away from the experience, but in interviews we have heard the comment on a number of occasions that someone who danced that evening reminded the patron of the time "xxxx" first took her clothes off for him. The third song is where the girl rakes up as much cash as she can before the customers get bored with her. This, IMO, is key. When I first started the gig we had 15 minute sets and a lot of times the third song was a 10-minute slow-dance mix of some kind. That's too long. The energy and excitement only really holds together through the first couple of songs when the "ritual" is taking place. Once the girl is naked, unless she's very beautiful and talented, she's going to get boring to the patrons pretty fast. Typically anything over five minutes will see patrons leaving the stage area and looking around at other stages from a distance. You have to keep it moving fast and give them time to soak in the dynamics of the performance between occasions to harvest their money.
So my take is that just seeing a woman naked isn't the whole enchilada unless it's the right woman, though men who seldom see naked women may be more insusceptible to nudity than those who are used to it, even they get over the initial reaction pretty fast.
Now then, let me add this. Working with naked women all the time, my own reaction may be worth taking into account. Most of our dancers didn't "turn me on" after I'd worked with them for a while. Usually the first day that someone beautiful shows up it would catch my attention. I'd watch their sets, which isn't something I really do other than to make sure the lighting and music are working right with the performance. I'd kind of find myself memorizing their body the first few times I saw them perform. "Oh, she's got great collarbones and the muscles around her spine are developed, but not masculine."
Usually that whole getting-to-know-you leer was over by the end of the first day. What I found continually captivating, though, were young, healthy, fertile women. I'm convinced that the entire essence of sexual attraction at a subconscious or animal-attraction level is actually based on the breeding impulse. That sounds obvious as I type it, but I think we lose sight of that in a culture that uses sexuality as an advertising tool. It doesn't matter how big someone's breasts are or how overdone their hair and makeup are if underneath it all they're a chain-smoking, coke-snorting alcoholic who hasn't had a proper menstrual cycle since they started limiting caloric intake to keep their body fat levels in check. You take a girl who comes in on Amateur Night and has a mediocre body and none of the trappings, but underneath it all is at the height of her health and fertility and you can't help responding to it. At least if you're heterosexual, which by the way, very few women who strip for you professionally are. Nobody can maintain a stable relationship in that atmosphere. Eventually most of the girls end up hating men and dating each other because nobody else can understand what they see and experience. And of course because they're pretty messed-up in the first place sexually or they'd never think of taking a job where you take your clothes off for money. - kurttrail, on 10/12/2007, -5/+44Buried as lame. First 3 lines of the article... "This is not a scientific study. It’s merely an account of discussions I heard among soldiers in barracks, at work, at parties, and in taverns. Soldiers discuss women more than anything else, and that’s what this is about."
FREAKIN READ IT BEFORE COMMENTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Augie1969, on 10/12/2007, -3/+37You know what is frightening? I think I learned more about sex from Benny Hill than I did from my folks.
Roman Catholicism for the lose. - freehunter, on 10/12/2007, -1/+34@modizzle
At least amongst the people I know, it is mostly true. The thing is, most guys DON'T like abnormally large boobs. I like 'em big once in a while, but if they flop or sag or have stretch marks on the sides, no thank you sir. Any size will do, as long as they fit the person they are on, but generally I like them smaller. Most guys I know will agree with me on that point. - gonzo1773, on 10/12/2007, -1/+32Victoria's Secret made billions last year on the fact that guy, while they do appreciate a naked woman, are far more interested when something is left to the imagination. Especially when that something is wrapped in black lace and almost see-through mesh.
- chazzbro, on 10/12/2007, -4/+33Nudity is overrated. A little mystery is much sexier.
That's a secret that girls need to learn. They think every guy wants them naked right away.
Maybe so, but that's a sign of sexual desire... which will pass as soon as the sex does. That's not an investment in a relationship. It results in using and being used.
Mystery and self-confidence are a long-term winning combination.
Here's a quote worth keeping in mind:
"You can take no credit for beauty at 16. But if you are beautiful at 60, it will be your soul's own doing." - Marie Stopes - thewaz, on 10/12/2007, -3/+31women don't have to be naked to TURN on you.

- ronin2040, on 10/12/2007, -0/+23no, its just that noone read the article and assumed that the gods of digg simply asked for everyones opinion without RTFA-ing
- Neticule, on 10/12/2007, -3/+25I agree WITH THE ARTICLE, which most of the people that commented apparently didnt even bother to read first. Dont comment on the subject folks, comment on the friggin article, PLEASE!
The article talks about how alot, if not most men, have a stronger desire to see what they arent supposed to in public (i.e. up a skirt), then to see a woman showing everything she can.
Its alot more exciting, in my opinion, to imagine what a woman looks like underneath the clothes, then to see her nude. Atleast, it stays exciting, the excitement of nudity wears off after a few minutes, the other way, keeps you excited. just my opinion! Kinda like porn, if i go to look at porn, i dont want to start right off the bat watching 2 people *****, I would rather watch the girl tease for a while first! - SultanTravi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+23"In addition, a significant number of guys simply are not 'boob men.' whats with the stupid comments, are you all still in that immature phase where you giggle at the word sex? - Somniis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19The thought of a woman naked (i.e., "She's naked under that dress...") is much sexier than a woman being nude all the time. If women were nude all the time, there wouldn't be anything to be turned on by - we would be desensitized to it. A little mystery goes a long way.
- r00tus3r, on 10/12/2007, -8/+26@drew ...
Not real good at comprehension are yuh buddy ... - ouorama, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17Couple of points missed in the discussion:
1. Sexy clothing is designed to optimize a woman's shape. Think pushup bras.
2. Most people don't have the kind of perfect bodies you see in Roman sculptures. Therefore clothing can help accentuate a person’s looks. With the exception of a few very gifted and fit individuals, most people look better clothed than naked.
3. Imagination is almost always better than reality. This is why a scary movie or novel doesn’t rely on graphic violence. Graphic violence is usually numbing and silly looking. The same is true of the strip tease. The “tease” is what’s sexy. The naked form can be sexy but it’s far less likely than a good sexy strip tease. - b3mus3d, on 10/12/2007, -3/+19"Do Naked Ladies Turn Men On?"

- thrallie, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13The big boob thing is stupid, I like natural women with big boobs. Hey, not everyone in the world looks like an airbrushed skinny bitch with tiny breasts. We need to get used to the natural body (even "plump"). Hell, I'm not talking about a 300LB woman. But..natural extra cushion for the pushing.
