- Dhalgren, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3"You cant see the stars during the day. The light from the sun is too bright. In case you haven't noticed hes on the day side of the earth..."
Actually, it's the sun's light reflected by the earth that is washing out the stars. In order to properly expose the film, the shutter is open for such a short time (or at such a small aperture) that the stars don't show up. - kwilliam71, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3God bless those who actually post decent-res images.
- version30.x, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Cool! Looks like they're building a Death Star.

- greenlight2001, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2"Ever take a picture of yourself with the EARTH in the background?"
Isn't the earth in the FOREground? He's looking at the earth. There's only space in the background ;). - manatee, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1that pic is old as dirt

- thebeck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1>Is that the death star?
It's the under side of the space shuttle Discovery, just in case anyone didn't already know... It looks kind of odd because the distortion caused by the round surface it's reflecting off of. - caldroun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"With the blast shield down, I can't even see."

- soccer9713, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"You can't see any stars. Fake."
While the explanation of the camera exposure is correct, am I the only one that got this joke? He was making fun of the conspiracy theory nuts who claim the moon landing photos were fake because you couldn't see any stars, also not true. - whitesanjuro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1greenlight2001 is the only person who noticed this obvious mistake of the poster...earth is not pictured, but reflected in forgeround, NOT background...sweet pic though
