Completely caught me off guard. - Trifold, on 11/19/2008, -8/+730Admittedly, I half expected the first end credits to just be followed by 4 minutes of ads.
- Edwaldo, on 11/19/2008, -11/+451I must try this Branston Pickle.
- rojano17, on 11/19/2008, -5/+314God i hope he reviews Left 4 Dead next week!
- browwiw, on 11/19/2008, -2/+172I actually would have respected it if he just ended it there. Not that the rest wasn't hilarious and insightful...but I love self-referential anti-climatic humor.
- Slycne, on 11/19/2008, -4/+139I am still thoroughly enjoying playing Fallout 3. Glad to see others are enjoying it as well.
- browwiw, on 11/19/2008, -3/+129How in the ***** did you not know Fallout 3...the third in the line of one of the the most successful RPG franchises in video game history..is not an RPG? I mean, ***** dude, it's cool that you don't like RPGs, but complaining that Fallout 3 is an RPG is like complaining bananas don't taste like apples.
- SuperVepr308, on 11/19/2008, -2/+116Played the hell out of L4D last night and it is a blast.
- raskyred, on 11/19/2008, -4/+111Agreed that Liam Neeson's talent was underused. I'm shocked Yahtzee liked it, though he was dead on with the character models. I know it's a post-apocalyptic future, but not EVERYONE is supposed to look like a lifeless zombie.
- Echelon2, on 11/19/2008, -4/+106Chalk this one up for another game that Yahtzee actually likes.
- Scrappy1850, on 11/19/2008, -0/+101all i can think about today is how much more exciting work would be if my boss puked on me
- feezus, on 11/19/2008, -8/+102THIS GAME IS BAD BECAUSE I AM AN UNINFORMED ***** THAT STEALS WHATEVER IS POPULAR EVEN THOUGH I KNOW NOTHING OF THE GAME!
- rdldr1, on 11/19/2008, -4/+90I liked Fallout 3. You can go play every single mission you can come across, or just simply rush through until the ending. It's your choice, America.
- ParticleMan420, on 11/19/2008, -2/+79yea, its the game's fault that you're a dumbass
- aithk608, on 11/19/2008, -2/+77"Bingo, Bango Bongo, I'm so happy in the jungle, I refuse to go!"
best. song. ever. - Browzer, on 11/19/2008, -1/+73Fallout 3 is a great game, but not without faults. The GUI feels sluggish. The PipBoy interface is painful to use and not easy on the eyes. One of the great things about the original Fallout was seeing the color depictions of items in your inventory. I miss that in Fallout 3. The bartering interface was better in FO1 and FO2 than in FO3.
As much as Fallout 3 pisses me off from time to time, it always throws me a moment of awesomeness during just the right moment. I was randomly walking through the wasteland once, and I discovered a computer terminal in a burnt out house. It had diary entries for a family, and they were all innocent accounts (getting water, raising brahmin) except for the last one. It simply said that they noticed some other people on a hill and were going to make contact with them the next day. After seeing how horrible the raiders are throughout the game, that passage literally sent a chill down my spine. - thecheesemonkey, on 11/19/2008, -1/+70English - from England, none of this British malarkey. I'm from England and I refer to myself as English, if I said I was British people might think I'd be from Wales, and no-one wants to be accidentally asscoiated with sheep related promiscuity
- BlackKnight6, on 11/19/2008, -2/+64Dugg for Thief having the best stealth gameplay ever. This guy knows games and the classics.
- wrighton, on 11/19/2008, -0/+60Is that not Marmite?
- tawnos, on 11/19/2008, -2/+59Half way through the game and loving it.
- thePTS, on 11/19/2008, -2/+57un?
- luke16, on 11/19/2008, -0/+54In other news, Branston Pickle sales are up 10%
- PacoDEmu, on 11/19/2008, -5/+56Frank Zappa with nuclear legs flying around in a spaceship...
I'd give my soul to see that. - t3hmyth, on 11/19/2008, -1/+51I liked the part where you tried this last week and it's backfiring on you again.
- strictnein, on 11/19/2008, -2/+50Trees love nuclear fallout.
- beelz, on 11/19/2008, -6/+52Yea I agree he seemed usually nice in this one.
- ADHD, on 11/19/2008, -0/+43The thing is, that statement is completely true
Valve has never made a game I was dissapointed with, never-ever. I would buy every employee in Valve a drink, those guys won't let an unfinished project out the door.... - liquidhalcyon, on 11/19/2008, -0/+43"I don't want to set the world on fireeeee...."
- bobartig, on 11/19/2008, -0/+42I thought for sure that he would mention the over-abundance of clip-boards in the game. For some reason the fallout world is littered in them.
- strictnein, on 11/19/2008, -0/+38You two watched the movie together? That sounds romantic.
- Ruch182, on 11/19/2008, -0/+36that's marmite dude.
- spect3r, on 11/19/2008, -8/+44you either love it or hate it
- Stormwern, on 11/19/2008, -0/+35It cracked me up, was so worried he was going to thrash it. Ofc he had a couple of valid critizisms later on, but it looks like it made the official "not awful" club atleast. :)
- inactive, on 11/19/2008, -1/+31Mein Furher! I can walk!
- whataSAMF, on 11/28/2008, -1/+31or Mirror Edge!
I can't wait to see what he thinks about it, I played it all last night.
I really want Left 4 Dead Though, Valve always makes great games. - sexybobo, on 11/19/2008, -0/+29If you listen to the commentary they say they had a playable version in the game in late 2004 they have spent the last 4 years polishing this game and it all started out when they were working on bots for CS they realized it was fun for a small group of people to play against a huge number of bots.
- kulinsj, on 11/19/2008, -7/+36It's definitely a huge improvement over oblivion though that stiff convo system kinda reminds me of it a bit much. Still, that's quickly washed away when the mini-nuke is firing in slow motion at an oversized cockroach
- Greengoo, on 11/19/2008, -0/+28You wasted precious fat-boy ammo on Rad roaches??
- Clbull, on 11/19/2008, -2/+29I admire your courage
- surfacewound, on 11/19/2008, -0/+27Digg really needs to add a, "Is [username] being a dumbass? Report it" line under the offensive one.
They they could have a page where everyone could go see who the top 100/whatever dumbasses are on Digg. - rojano17, on 11/19/2008, -0/+27Bad to be a wallet though!
- GothAlice, on 11/19/2008, -7/+34I'm surprised he didn't mention the total *****-up that was the primary story line, whereby the first three quarters were heavily immersive, varied, and challenging, unless you performed any side quests whatsoever and leveled up, and the final quarter threw suspention of disbelief straight at your face so hard you didn't get the chance to duck. It beat you senseless with the stupidity, McGuffins, and thorough cheapness. Bethedsa quite obviously gave up part way through development. The production crew went, 'meh, good enuf', and shipped it. My only hope is the developers went kicking and screaming, and will release updates via DLC that don't suck.
But, alas, my dreams are not to come true, at least for the PS3. More monumental stupidity from the producer: "Oh, there's not enough demand on this platform to make DLC worth our while." Customer: "Hey! They have no plans for DLC on the PS3! I'll get the PC version instead." Producer: "See? Low demand!"
***** chicken and the egg. Despite the fact that I know they can do it. It's one unified game engine, after all, and they /do/ have DLC for Oblivion. - tehWhisp, on 11/19/2008, -1/+28I think he needs to move to a 2 per week schedule. We still need to get reviews for mirror's edge, left 4 dead, littlebigplanet, gears of war 2....
It's good to be a gamer these days. Seriously. - Naieve, on 11/19/2008, -4/+30I think if he had ended it there, it would have been his all time best work.
- harrynotlarry, on 11/19/2008, -0/+26Being English I have had it today, and also yesterday. The small chunked variety is my personal preference.
Corned beef, Cheese, branston and bread. need I say more. - t3hmyth, on 11/19/2008, -2/+27I take it you stopped watching after that. Good job.
- makoview, on 11/19/2008, -4/+29Dugg for Branston Pickle.
- Sherman901, on 11/19/2008, -2/+26my sexual preferences are at stake!
- Scrappy1850, on 11/19/2008, -0/+24*SuperVepr308 Saved Scrappy1850*
- FurtThePirate, on 11/19/2008, -0/+23If you have friends that will get L4D then get it.
But if you have no friends then get Fallout 3 -
