- Enderic, on 09/27/2008, -49/+434Gets the RROD twice as fast.
- Ajajadude, on 09/27/2008, -31/+314Looks like a slim PS2
- xkingADROCKx, on 09/28/2008, -2/+226That's because it's a fake mock-up based on the slim PS2.
- wristpull, on 09/28/2008, -18/+171So, Microsoft has something to announce, and India is the site they choose to break a new SKU?
Digg, stop being so gullible. - doshindude, on 09/28/2008, -6/+136The power adapter + HDD would be bigger than the system itself.
- inactive, on 09/28/2008, -3/+109reminds me of something made up in photoshop..
- LemurDaddy, on 09/28/2008, -3/+59Why are people digging you down? Maybe your ***** is a flat white piece of plastic with a slot in the middle. I'm not going to judge. Here's to you and your misshapen *****.
- jtbell04, on 09/28/2008, -1/+54They could fix the RRoD problem by not putting red LEDs in it.
- mywhitenoise, on 09/28/2008, -3/+51You mean PS3
http://www.engadget.com/2008/02/01/is-sonys-ps3-ge ... - mickhead, on 09/28/2008, -4/+51I do. I liked prey.
- Magnolit, on 09/28/2008, -5/+47it's a feature.
- FRABAR, on 09/28/2008, -8/+48reminds me of a ps2..
- LatvianHedgehog, on 09/28/2008, -1/+39No way, it says it is "really real", it must be the real deal!
- theonlywizdum, on 09/28/2008, -2/+40When you lay it on its side, you can use it as a hotplate! MMMM.
- Ajajadude, on 09/28/2008, -3/+39Gotta buy the $200 external drive accessory that will be rolled out at the same time.
- cryonix, on 09/28/2008, -1/+36Me and my Native American brothers.
We speak of the great Tommy's adventures and struggle with spirituality. We will pass down the story from console to console.
(cool to have a NA in a game and all, but I was borderline offended by how they handled it) - mickhead, on 09/28/2008, -1/+35Theres no reason to drop the ethernet port. But adding wireless aswell is a good idea.
- Raiper, on 09/28/2008, -13/+46Could care less about the Slim...it's all about that package deal with a free copy of 'viva pinata'
- Spamcan, on 09/28/2008, -6/+39It's a mock up based on the slim PS2, a redesigned 360 won't look anything like that or be that thin if it's coming. In this case slim probably means 2/3rds the size, an internal HD and the death of the arcade SKU once the old models have sold out. Hopefully they'll even dump the ethernet port for built in WiFi.
- dungbeetle, on 09/28/2008, -2/+34Not everyone wants or can use WiFi so that would be a very bad idea. Perhaps have both so you don't have to alienate people.
- mywhitenoise, on 09/28/2008, -0/+32Thats actually the PS3 Slim mock-up with green lights...pretty pathetic.
http://www.engadget.com/2008/02/01/is-sonys-ps3-ge ... - Jaysunli, on 09/28/2008, -2/+34Who is digging this clear blog spam fakery?
Please stop. - yaryarhumphump, on 09/28/2008, -1/+32so enclosed space means what it will just melt now?
- FutureGuy, on 09/28/2008, -5/+32Cause its a FAKE
- Gamoc, on 09/28/2008, -1/+28You don't seem to understand, 360s still RRoD. Shockingly, hardware problems don't seem to go out of fashion for Microsoft.
- Tikkimann, on 09/28/2008, -7/+33No. Most, if not all high-end computers cannot play Crisis with full frames at the highest settings. A home console from 2005? Not likely, though perhaps with reduced graphics.
- dragon76, on 09/28/2008, -1/+27How about the self-destructing DVD drive?
- atomsky, on 09/28/2008, -3/+29you COULDN'T care less
- optimuskade, on 09/27/2008, -41/+66Prey 2 Confirmed?
Who gives a *****? - IndustrialJones, on 09/28/2008, -17/+39Will you be able to attach a hard drive? I don't see space for one...
- IndustrialJones, on 09/28/2008, -0/+22Yeah, it kills me that the Wii has built-in WiFi and the 360 doesn't.
- jengerer, on 09/28/2008, -1/+22If you actually read the article, you'd know it's an artist's mock-up.
- mickhead, on 09/28/2008, -1/+22Are some people seriously taking that picture as real?
- Shaflugi, on 09/28/2008, -2/+23RROD is the first thing that came to mind. Slimmer only means hotter.
- meghalc, on 09/28/2008, -4/+25Whats wrong with Microsoft India?
- inactive, on 09/28/2008, -6/+27But will it blend Crysis?
- MalDON, on 09/28/2008, -6/+26I just got the rrod last night. This makes it the seventh time.
- DemonSpawn77, on 09/28/2008, -5/+24Four. SKUs. There are going to be four SKUs next Winter. If you count the ill-fated puke green Halo 3 edition, it'll be five. Remember when you bought a console and everyone else had one that looked and functioned the same? Maybe had a different colour or two? Yea, me neither.
- inactive, on 09/28/2008, -2/+20and it'll be 20GB. MAX
- MalDON, on 09/28/2008, -2/+18Yea, lets drop ethernet for a slower standard. Brilliant!
- roxgod666, on 09/28/2008, -6/+21slim Xbox is Slim
see how i flipped that around - inactive, on 09/28/2008, -1/+14you guys are idiots. the pic is an artist's rendition of what it might look like. the real pics are not in yet.
- inactive, on 09/28/2008, -0/+12"Have you heard of 2.5" HDD? "
Yes. 360 uses those already - timishue, on 09/28/2008, -1/+13Picture is just a mock up. Nothing official don't speculate just yet...
- midbc, on 09/28/2008, -1/+13if you have a high end comp and still cannot play Crysis or Crysis Warhead on full settings you are doing it wrong
- TVarmy, on 09/28/2008, -1/+13Wifi is great, and these days the chips are so small and cheap, I figure it'd be pretty stupid not to add it in. Keep the USB ports and let it work with ethernet dongles, and that's fair enough for most people. Hopefully, they'd have it work with any plug-n-play ethernet dongle so as to not alienate people who don't have/want wireless.
- Detritus, on 09/28/2008, -3/+14Yes, but the red lights are so much smaller and sexier!
- Shaflugi, on 09/28/2008, -1/+12Please explain how it ISN'T. Cooling is a much larger issue with laptops than it is with desktops. Less room for air, less room for fans.
- spvn, on 09/28/2008, -8/+19It does seem possible.. Here's another post about it:
http://www.split-screen.com/2008/09/27/microsoft-i ...
Wonder if it'll still have the stupid red ring though... -
