- ggko, on 10/12/2007, -1/+26Only person? Possibly. Though given you've dugg over 4800 stories in just 11 months, you might want to reconsider your question.
- skywake, on 10/12/2007, -2/+25oh... but that would be pointless
I already have Zelda... - MadMan6680, on 10/12/2007, -3/+23"Maybe if I beat it so good, the game will explode"
That's what she said. - ozid, on 10/12/2007, -1/+19Glad to know I wasn't the only one with the childhood fantasy.
"Maybe if I beat it so good, the game will explode"
I expect this to already be the case with PS3's... so I haven't even tried yet. - flamingmb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14I think when you get to 3000 you get to fight might tyson from the NES game.
- Omadhaun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8I'm at 2432 for Tennis. I was expecting it to stop at 2000, but it just kept going!
- KyleMistry, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Damn, there are people getting above 2000 points in Boxing?
I must really suck, I keep messing up when I get to around 900. :{ - nreynolds, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5aw man... I'm at exactly 2000 right now.
The bogus thing is that at this level, you lose points even if you win, if you don't win by enough. I've had enough of playing the same 2 people every single time, i'm not going to risk losing my points even if i win. - ozid, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6I've found a lot of things I thought of or said as a little kid make for hilarious sex jokes.
- cawpin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3What douchebag wrote this article? FTA "Don't let yourself get knocked down. (Duh!) If I get knocked down, I simply reset the match."
Hello? How about playing the game as it was meant to be played. You're the same as the asshats that reset their XBox right before loosing on XboxLive so they wouldn't get the ranking hurt. - cycledesign, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2At around 2300 the challenge sort of lost its magic and I quit. At that point it's pretty repetitive.
But I must note how strange it was that the graph went beyond its physical boundaries... - nato64, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Same, I'm at 2094 and thought it would stop at 2000.
I also believe that if you reset the match, it's not an accurate score of yourself. - WillyWonka, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It worked in PacMan.
- Gunsmith, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I disagree, the art of bettering yourself is what keeps a lot of gamers going even after a game has died its online death, hell I still play NFSU2 just to beat my own lap times and better my technique.
- LordofChaosIori, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1When do you fight the champion Matt to get the silver gloves?
- c0Lumb0, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Photics, how do you counter when the computer starts to constantly lean to one side. I can never seem to hit them while they're leaning.
- technique, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I'm still following the UPS guy trying to figure out where he delivers so I can buy the damn thing.
- Photics, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Having played MMORPGs for years, playing Wii Sports Boxing for two more hours hardly seemed like any time at all. That's all the time it took to go from ~1800 to 2458. The key is quick wins.
- Dvoid, on 10/12/2007, -5/+6@ Omadhaun
And I figure that some day all the ADD people will lose interest in Digg, but they just keep going!
ADD: Attention Deficite... Let's go ride bikes! - chozsun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I was thinking about Wii Boxing: why not attach a pair of dedicated Wii-chuks to some 16oz (or heavier) boxing gloves and actually get a upper body workout from them? You won't have the resistance (unless you can hit the punching bag while watching the monitor) but it would be something.
- rnelsonee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah, the points you get depend on a lot of things - final score, number of deuces, volleys... etc. But especially your opponent's level. If you're 900 playing a 300, you really need to beat them handily (40-0) to come close to getting points.
- lachcorp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1challenge accepted.
- fbarbie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I thought of something similar. If you strap some wrist weights to yourself while boxing, you would get one hell of a work out.
- judremy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Things to get points in tennis:
1) Play 5 match games for the most points.
2) Sweep the opponent (3 - 0 in wins)
3) Play as both front & back guy on your team. - WiiPro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Ive currently got the level of 3124. It is EXTREMELY hard for me to get 1 Exp. from a fight now. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e397/buriedalie409/wiilvl_1__0001.jpg
- Photics, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If the computer starts doing their drunken stance to the right side, I'll just lean to the left side. Eventually, the computer will start to lean toward me. Once the computer switches footing, that's when I quickly dodge to the right. The computer will try to punch at me while I'm moving, and will usually miss. That's when I land a quick combo. The timing is tricky... but if the computer starts using a stance that seems to defy gravity, I wouldn't recommend trying to chase the computer. You're just opening up yourself to a counter attack.
- mcgirt, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1you have to get around 1500 points
- Anpheus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1It sounds like the algorithm is slightly based upon ELO, in which case it is doing exactly what it is supposed to do. It appears to be obviously tweaked for the 'severity' of the win, and for starting at 0, but other than that, I can't see whhy you'd expect it to just keep going up linearly.
Without knowing the mathematics of it, you can't guess how high it can go, but offhand I'd say that nobody will reach 5000 legitimately. - blogbomber, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hmmm.... I haven't lost a match in Wii Boxing so I can't comment on the score about that, but in Wii Tennis, I have reached the pro level, prior being sick for a week my opponent's level was at the pro level (+1000) , then soon after being sick I lost a few matches in a row my opponent's level went from 800's down to 500's then to 300's, and even when I beat a 300 level score I still lost points. If I remember correctly I played a 3 game match, and lost one. Maybe you need a perfect score (with fast serves) in order not to lose points against lower matched players.
- marcushe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1im at 2,200 + in tennis
- philosolapis, on 12/24/2008, -0/+0the key is to dodge like hell, wait until the little wave shows up in the air and their punch is in slow mo, and then give them a one two.
- Lowbrass, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I doubt Omadhuan has hit 2432. @ 2394 and it requires a perfect 5 game match or 3 perfect single game matches to acquire a single skill point. The point aquisition at this level halves about every 10 points. To get to 2432 Omadhaum would have to play about 200 perfect 5 game/600 perfect single game matches to acquire that much skill. Didn't seem like he thought it was all that difficult
- MindStalker, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Its cause these people don't have lives. I'm only in the 700s in most games and I've had it for a month now. Then again I have 2 kids, work full time and goto school full time as well... (Ok no school in december, but you get the point).
- mfdave, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0i've never even played boxing one player!
- PhrosTT, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I've never played any Wii Sports game one player. The whole point is multiplayer. I refuse to play alone so that the match's are always close against my friends.
Also, Wii Boxing sucks. It's the worst (well golf sucks too) game in there.
Bowling and Tennis are sweet. Baseball would be better if it had 4 player.
Additionally, I found a cheap glitchy return in tennis. I can return any serve far enough to my left that it is impossible to return. Kinda ruins the game. - MysticWiiBoxer, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0Pfff if i see all these points of Wii boxing makes me SICK!!!!!!
Yes you people!!! Pfff 2800+ is low...
If there is any1 that can beat my points then ur interesting...
My boxing points? Its...3135!!!!
If you don't believe me then go to Youtube and search for mysticdragons...
Soon i'm gonna post a video of my Mii so i can show all of you that i'm the greatest Wii Sport Boxer ever!! - coheedcollapse, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4You try being on a computer in classes all day and limiting yourself to ~14 diggs a day.
- ciscoutx, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0I have 2800+ in boxing
- Phil246, on 10/12/2007, -9/+1isnt the wii a 32bit console? If so, i would guess 2^32 , or 2^31 depending on if its signed or not. And ofc assuming they didnt cap it :)
( if its 64bit , 2^64 , or 2^63 ) - Nemisari, on 10/12/2007, -16/+6That's weird.. I expected it would stop at 2000. I wonder what the max is? Maybe if it gets high enough it'll break the game!
- coheedcollapse, on 10/12/2007, -13/+2Am I the only person on all of Digg that thinks this guy might have way too much time on his hands?
I think there's a point where one should stop to preserve the fun of any game instead of turning it into some insane competition. That line has been crossed. - opensourcemaven, on 10/12/2007, -24/+12i've got a raging clue
- skywake, on 10/12/2007, -15/+1yeah... you do suck...
hey, I suck and I am on 1300.. you aren't even pro yet - Orat, on 10/12/2007, -30/+6Maybe at 3000 they give you a must-have title for the console.

What is Digg?
