- MatchStick, on 10/12/2007, -1/+39nice, but are there any games that allow you to aim with the wiimote and fire with the nunchuk?
- Flummoxer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+29How would this be good for Twilight Princess? You have to swing the remote and wiggle the nunchuk to do attacks.

You spelt your username wrong. You forgot the o between r and n. - Fraff5, on 10/12/2007, -2/+20Dear Jesus,
All I want for Easter is for fanboys to die.
Sincerely,
Senior Flashlight Analyst - b3mus3d, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17well, one of his items finally reached the front page.
Good for him :)
I don't know how everyone else feels about the issue, but honestly I don't mind people submitting their own websites. - MatchStick, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17the way this device is held show that the player would be firing with the C or Z bottons, which are both on the nunchuk, so again do any games allow for this configuration?
- SigmaDraconis, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11"Enough with defending the little guy and bashing the big guys."
Better yet, how about no pointless bashing, period? - lolgamoff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9crgnetworks, i dugg you down for carlos mencia reference.
- LordSkywalker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I think I'd rather had the chuck separate like the official Nintendo one. Without actually using it though, I can't be sure.
- Chicken2nite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Just give me the House of the Dead compilation and I'll get myself a Wii. Virtua Cop, Time Crisis, these are games that will get me on the Wii bandwagon.
FYI: There was a Nintendo branded peripheral similar to this back at E3 when they unveiled the remote. It was in the same display case as the virtual console controller. Basically it had an analog stick for your thumb similar to this design but instead of working with the nunchuk it was a separate add on which you would plug the wiimote into. While this would be cheaper, my understanding is that the nunchuk doesn't come with the Wiimote normally, so it might not be so ideal.
One thing that I liked about the Nintendo gun from E3 was that you could easily access the trigger button on the wiimote while it's plugged into the gun, thus making it possible for you to hold it like a shotgun and thus you have a second trigger button, either for reloading or as a secondary fire button. I liked that idea.
THe great thing is that you don't need this sort of ad on though, all you need is two wimotes and a friend to have yourself a co op multiplayer light gun battle. That's the sort of next gen console experience I'm after. Every controller is a light gun and every console comes with one. no more dealing with limited market within the console for light gun games - Step1Mark, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3thats way to much money for a device that is just a piece of plastic. ill hold out for one like we saw at e3
- TheTjalian, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Because, you know, everyone loves to ass rape them selves financially just for an "HD Experience" on their good ole SD TV.
I got the Wii first and will be getting the XBOX 360 later. - Itazura, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5Maybe i'm the only one confused, but it is just a little shell you put the things in, so in essence you are paying for a piece of plastic that literally does nothing but holds things in place simulating your own hands. And this costs money...
- pillcounterd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Seeing how he wrote the news blurb....
- j01101010, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Yeah, as long as the sites good I don't see a problem with it, the problem is when you get a "blogger" writing about a different website and then submitting his blog post to digg instead of the actual website.
- chingy1788, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Looks like a white version of that gun in minority report
the gun that doesn't shoot bullets just some field which pushes things away... - yourbrokenoven, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1that thing actually looks sweet. hopefully it's true.
- Bureau9, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://igargoyle.com/archives/powerglovead.jpg
bring it back
NOW - MrStabby, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2It could be possible that there is a device underneath the "barrel" that we are not seeing that when activated presses the "B" button...
But then again, the Wii-mote already feels "gun" enough, if all you're doing is using the "B" button as a trigger... - Ozeki, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3@chinpo:
You know, maybe he's the owner of the website. The news poster on the website is Rivithed and the submitter on Digg is... ;-) - tektalk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm thinking of something along the lines of zombie games being developed for this.
- ccanni1028, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1W...T...F?
Blocked for spamming. - echonull, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1No games supposet firing with z/c as far as I know, which is a shame -- pushing buttons on the wiimote you're aiming with can throw your aim off annoyingly much. It does seem that this would let you steady your aim a bit compared to having to one-hand the wiimote alone, but you'd have to really try it to find out....
And as mentioned, it wouldn't work for Twilight Princess, and may not work for Red Steel, or any games that require independent nunchuck- and wiimote-only motions. Could be effective for Elebits, though. - buildmorerobots, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I hope it's real it looks sweet.
- DrScott, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Now all we need is Operation Wolf on the VC.
- chinpo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Either way, you know you can directly reply to a comment, right? ;-) LOL
- pjsk8, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2You can also press buttons with it.....how 'bout them apples?
- Kruse, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Fake.
- Flame500, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Damn theres no place for a scope... or even iron sights.
My $0.02 - dtkmike, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1it looks like... a rather pointless accesory which all the same i would buy just because it might make things that little bit more fun... as long as they dont over price it... a fiver maybe? looks good :) can imagine playing games with it :)
- ibeetle, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you "The Super Scope" Mark II
- ChezaUsagi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1hmmm maybe they are making it for the Resident Evil 4 port to Wii... and other shooters that will eventually come to the Wii.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Joytech is owned by TAKE TWO INTERACTIVE who also own Rockstar Games, makers of GTA.
- lachlan334, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1So like, is there any point to this? You'll still have to use two hands, using this will make it more awkward to use them both at once.
- devindotcom, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Hmm... cheap little piece of plastic, but it looks kinda awesome.
- Shaflugi, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Lame. Just another hunk of plastic to attach your existing controllers to. Doesn't add any functionality, just like the stupid plastic racket and steering wheel.
- tekrat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I would say it would be a $25'er when it comes out. But by Christmas of the next year it would be around $10.
- ChezaUsagi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0yeah, Red Steel, Metroid Prime, and Twilight Princess isn't a shooter, but you use the same controls for aiming and firing you bow, slingshot, clawshot, etc.
- MephistoX, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1This was just on digg... where have you people been?
- Red5, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Why would I want to use only one hand to control movement, aiming, firing, etc. when I would be far more effective splitting tasks between both hands? Unless, of course, you are truly limited to one hand then I imagine this would be a godsend.
I guess you could use two hands but as Iachian334 suggests that would be even more awkward. This Wii-controller accessory like all Wii-controller accessories gets a thumbs down! - Brows, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Duck Hunt, Motha *****!
- tekrat, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1It seems to do a little more then that. It has a trigger mechanism that can rip at least one button on the controller.
- monkeycatDx, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1I'm thinking of something along the lines of a porno game being developed for this, looks like it would make a great pimp cane!
- chingy1788, on 10/12/2007, -9/+1Needs a Scope fixture
make it into a Nintendo Scope
hehehe... ahh such fun times...
That big gun churning batteries shooting missiles and planes...
Mole hunt hehehe
shot gun shell?
shell into that big machine gun in counter strike
fusion rocket launcher in red faction
lets have force feedback the kind like in time crisis - crgnetworks, on 10/12/2007, -23/+1DEDEDE http://digg.com/gaming_news/Wii_Sharp_Shooter_Gun_from_JOYTECH
- BuckleButt, on 10/12/2007, -29/+5The wiimote would do both the aiming and firing. The nunchuck would be for character movement. Twilight Princess, Red Steel, RE4 and RE Wii will kick anus with this device.
- Amorn, on 10/12/2007, -30/+3gimmicky toy at best, with old gen ports and gimmicky party games with mario on the labelled.
gamers who bought the wii most likely already have 360 or ps3 cuz those are for real gaming but those who dont, well they're probably not a real gamer to begin with and even gamers who are pure nintendo fanboys would already have/planning to get other real nextgen consoles for real gaming.
Enough with defending the little guy and bashing the big guys.
