- PSPon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+40I was expecting crazy different variations but it's just different buttons. :S

What are you talking about, they are extremely durable (there are stories of them being thrown through walls and still working!) - armo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12@23r17i05o42n
seems to hold up pretty well in a blender, sure it's crushed in the end but...
http://youtube.com/watch?v=IevMrQMp-to - mc1123, on 10/12/2007, -9/+19ya, I think it would be a lot more fun to play the wii with a freakin' bo staff. A bo staff with a bunch of buttons all along the length of it, and a few sixaxis things in there as well. That would be SO much better than the thing they've got now.
- emiles, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10This is boring.
- Gus1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8These are a lot closer to the finished product than I was expecting. Compare it to the 360 which could have been disgusting: http://www.next-gen.biz/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1550&Itemid=2
- sdrawkcaB, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8I guess they knew from the start that a remote shape device would be the way to go. One of them has an analog stick which most people found hard to use I guess. I would have thought it a good idea, but that's just me and probably anyone else that has a double jointed thumb that looks required to use it! Also notice the speaker didn't show up until E3 2006...
- masterthiefster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7None of these prototypes are as moronic as the PS3 banana/boomerang.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6kmart, why don't you try clicking the duggmirror link and see for yourself.
- psylence, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Because it does it for you. Click the link and place foot in mouth.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7"Tons of reports that they are unresponsive and break easily."
If by "tons of reports" you mean "a very vocal minority which may or may not be deliberately breaking them".... ah, nevermind. Nice trolling, though. - triblinator, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5it might have been "K"razy but first get off the "K"rack please
- triblinator, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5yeah he is just making that up =P
- mrRB, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Put down the pretension, and step away from the pedantry. You have fifteen seconds to comply.
- crilen007, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Too big and kids can't use it. Too small and adults can't. Two sizes and people get mad at having to buy different ones.
Memory foam remotes!! Retain basic shape, won't break TV's! - CanceledCzech, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Those were a little boring, but still sort of neat.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Who are you--Borat?

173 days old, same exact site.
Good job ignoring the duplicate story warning, Frank. - CrazyMike, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Because the actual site has become slow and unresponsive.
- masterthiefster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3In a sideways fashion, I guess (that's how Virtual Console games are played).
- TheG2, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6I'm waiting for the flag pole version myself.
- dawglse, on 10/12/2007, -5/+7http://www.duggmirror.com
- KJSatz, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Yeah Wiimote, after seeing your forebearers, I don't love you anymore!
................NOT! - KJSatz, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3You know I sort of agree with him. I played it at a Gamestop on 11/17 (fun to listen to PS3 people come in only to be disappointed that it was sold out :P) and the controller was a LITTLE small to be honest. But I'm a beastly scandinavian man, and I guess it has to work for the dainty nine year olds as well...still, if only my Wii had been maybe a centimeter or two longer....
Oh god nine year olds.... - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1how did they expect people to use both the analog stick and the d-pad in the second-to-last one?
- tweak13, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What games require that? I must say that my experience with wii games are limited to zelda, wii sports, monkey ball, and just a bit of red steel, but I haven't run into anything requiring the remote to be held steady to press a button other than A or B. I can't imagine a developer actually being dumb enough to require that.
- 83457, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Call of Duty is a good example. You have to hit right and left on the d-pad while aiming at the screen to throw frag and smoke grenades, or to pull the pen then motion with numchuck. The first few days I played it I always held the controller in the middle in the most natural position. I had to stretch my hand to reach the buttons while not moving the controller too much so I didn't go into a death spin. As I got used to the controls and learned to put my hands a bit higher on the wiimote its become less of a problem but still a stretch and I have average american male hands.

- 83457, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I wish they had chosen some of those controller setups. I have trouble reaching many of the buttons while holding the controller steady which is required in many games. Ok, I have trouble hitting anything but the B or A button while keeping the controller steady
- TheRyanSinger, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0hmm I can't trust these mock-ups because I'm sure anyone can use paint and claim them to be mock-ups.
- redneckblues, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2How about the tentpole Wii?
- TaeK, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3This just looks like blueprints of edited 'adobe illustrator' vector'ings of the original Wii Remote(Wiimote?). Can't really say that they're 'prototypes' as prototypes are just literally working mock-ups...got to digg down for inaccuracy...
- cosequin, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Check out my early design for the Xbox colored buttons:
http://i60.photobucket.com.nyud.net:8080/albums/h1/m1t0s1s/prototype3.png - GeekedAtBirth, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3The link is broked....digg efect
EDIT: Never mind, we're good...bury me. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Wow is that what it is? The digg effect? Thanks for explaining that to us all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- afwjam, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1I wish the d-pad was a little more precise, I have a tendency to go into spirit mode when i am trying to get Medina's attention. but other then that, feels completely natural now.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1wow, how vanilla.
- swimmingbird67, on 10/12/2007, -13/+8i played the wii for the first time a few days ago, and as fun as it was, i think the controller should be a little bigger...
- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -12/+5http://www.duggmirror.com
- diggn_it, on 10/12/2007, -11/+4Ya know what would have been funny? if nintnedo had just shipped the wii with just a gun, and been all like "yeah, thats the controller" and then when someone tried to play with one, they'd blow a whole in their TV screen! And then Reggie would be a like " we got ya suckas!" and then it turned out that the wii had just been an elaborate multimillion dollar prank orchestrated by the Gizmondo executives and it didn't even play games, all the videos were fake and everyone who played it was payed off. That would have been KRAZY!!!11 ;Q
- keikun, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2pretty innovative...
not. - KMartSheriff, on 10/12/2007, -14/+1Why don't you guys link to the actual site instead of just diggmirror
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -46/+2Have they fixed all the problems? Tons of reports that they are unresponsive and break easily.

What is Digg?
