- Hermitwise, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Does it bug anyone else when he touches the bottom of the disk?
- Mullinator, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Rather a straight number than "ooooLTRAMan12315156" or "dEAtH2J00"
- altosaxon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5This is basically a dupe...
Just watch the video, it has already made the homepage but it is an awsome first look at the console... - Itazura, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Wow....it's almost like an IP.
- YumYumKittyLoaf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I might be wrong, but I thought speakers can double as mic's too... would think so.
- osc1882, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I really hope no one is able to make a number based spamming system like ICQ.
- Doktag, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6I think it would have been better to make the friends code unique to each Wii-mote, instead of the console itself. That way, you have your own controller that has your friend code on it, and other people in your house, whether it be your family or your housemates, could get their own controller + friend code as well. Also, if you took your Wii-mote over to a friend's house, you could still access your own friends list and people could see you are online, just not on your own console.
Just my thoughts. Nothing they can really do about that now. - SkippyDoorknob, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2no microphone, just a small speaker.
- YumYumKittyLoaf, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5Stop with the god damn duplicate article crap. It's news, it's on the front page, that's what you wanted right? WHO THE HELL CARES IF IT'S NOT YOURS.
Do you win a prize for getting on front page?
Do you become popular from getting on front page?
Do girls swoon over your very name just for getting on front page?
No, so stop...everyone stop with the whining of duplicates.
And that goes with whining about why you're getting dugg down, even if it pertains to the article, or that you're giving correct information. I would think most people would read dug down responses (I know I do). I know that the amount of negative diggs are directly proportional to how much of an ass they make themselves out to be in the article, and I want to read how bad it was.
::Edit:: Bah, prime got to him first. - anachronaut, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Some types of them can, at least. Back in my school days, we used to make "talking guitar" mics out of old stripped-down headphone speakers.
- icantdrawanime, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Is it just me or is that interface Slick as Hell. Pointer input, here I come...
- twesterm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2YES! Thank God I'm not the only OCD person that cringed when he did that.
- b04155, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I recall somewhere (probably some article here), that the whole point of the DS features were mostly test-beds for the Wii, find out what works, what doesn't and improve on both.
- dracula7, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I personally feel this would complicate things-even so: the Wiimote may still be capable of storing addresses, since it has a memory for Miis (I wouldn't doubt it).
- sulthernao, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah, I think he gets it, since with the Wii, you can access the internet with Opera.
- vexx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2It bugs me when he sets them label down.
- mrpatto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Actually, optical media are more easily damaged on the label side than the blank side, which is protected with a thicker layer. From the National Archives of Australia advice:
"CDs are particularly prone to damage to the ‘label’ side from writing implements. Sharp points can easily damage the lacquer and metal layers, making the disk unreadable"
So label down is sensible enough. - vexx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yes the label easily damaged compared to the other side. That is my point. That's because the data is in the metal layers, all that is on the silver side is plastic which if scratches can be fixed easily. When you set them label down usually when you go to pick it up you slide the CD first. As you can imagine if there was dirt or anything on that surface you risk scratching the CD. So as long as you don't set anything else on the CD label up will result in less damage to the disc.
Of course it just better to put it in its case. - uberlord, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Still not as good as usernames, but it's such an improvement over friend codes I can't complain.
And, in some ways it's better. You don't get 400000000 different people with MasterChef in their usernames, but you do get 400000000 with 10245 in their usernames...who knows... - liwii, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Once you have your wii number, you should post it at a directory like http://mapwii.com so that you can exchange your wii number with others.
- gizmo12688, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Its the hot ***** right now, what do you expect? If it bothers you then don't read them.
- abcdefghij, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2hm, the wiimote has microphones on it right? are we seeing VoIP here peepol?
- anachronaut, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2*bury*
Silly buggy commenting system. Always doing something unexpected... - chriskzoo, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2"Hey man, just add me"
"You still using the same nickname?"
"Uh, no man, this is the Wii, it's soooo much better. Just type in 32167135451246423 instead. You got that?" - Primedeath, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2STFU, just bury it with "Duplicate Story" instead of complaining... I for one like some duplicates as my RSS feed usually doesn't get the first story.
- Halodude1489, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1DO you realize that there are 11 ***** wii topics on the gaming front page at the same time? STOP ***** POSTING WII STORIES.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -11/+1This is a Duplicate story
