- slimthps, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20Seems like every site has their own "source close to Nintendo" these days..
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14They look like CGI mockups that have been run through a Gaussian blur filter. I call fake.
- RetroRufio, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11Do you think they could have provided fuzzier images?
/sarcasm - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8You sure those aren't dem dare UFO's?
- cakestick, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Inaccurate? Drink. :-)
- Desolite, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8You never were good at that game. Drink.
- ColBond, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Bill: Hey Tom, that's a 1.3 megapixel camera phone, how come your photos look so blurry?
Tom: Oh no, did I leave the blur filter on there again? - dvddesign, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3He's awfully specific about how multiple stores are laying out their displays. Last time I checked the District Manager/Store Manager of the retail chain had more influence over that than a game company did.
I think I'll digg down, cause I'm a patient one, and I think tomorrow's finally going to have something that doesn't sound it's from an inside source.
BTW - Does nintendo have a closet full of these "secret insider with info" people or what? The company's full of holes. I'd start pulling out those signed NDAs and start rattling some cages or something. - NSMike, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Alas, I cannot take credit for Wiiosk... It was another digg user who coined that one. I don't remember whom, but it was in the comments for one of the other digg articles that popped up with the PS3 and Wii kiosk photos originally.
- VeganG, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yeah, sometimes I think that no one on the Internet can take a picture to save their life.
- bouche, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4why do people bother speculating 1 day before an event like the one planned for tomorrow? wait a day bloggers!
- bakagaigin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The images look like crap, but nice info, I guess.
- Renton, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Quality over quantity, Wiinii. I'm suprised he didn't mention this "article:"
http://digg.com/gaming_news/Wii_The_Wiimote_is_just_begging_to_be_modded_imagine_the_possibilities - bennyboy371, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I think I'll sit and cross my fingers that the other $150 rumors are true, I'd like to be able to afford a bit more when its out.
This one doesn't seem to be that great though... they both look rendered to me, then blurred to hell. There isn't a damn thing in sight other than what we're told to see here. It doesn't even look like there are walls! One thing to notice in how unrealistic they are is the lighting on the monitor in the first shot... what the hell is going on there? Just looks like a big blurred lens flare to me. I'm usually one to hold a bit of reasonable doubt, but this is ridiculous. - NSMike, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3This Wiiosk looks totally different from the one in the images that spread around the net a week ago. I call BS.
I will wait until tomorrow to find out REAL information on the Wii, not speculation from some random source who is probably some 18-year-old Best Buy employee that came up with this info after standing around, discussing Wii speculation with his coworkers. - ccanni1028, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2My source at Nintendo says their source is fake.
- BillDoE, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2LMAO at the well focused pictures.
- bennyboy371, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1My phone from two years ago that takes horrible sized pictures have much better quality, you'd have to go out of your way to do something this badly if it wasn't hiding something.
- herogear, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wasn't there another story on digg that shows video of an EB/GameStop employee showing off the Wii and PS3 kiosks that are supposed to show up, through use of a company mailer or somesuch nonsense? I remember their Wii kiosk looking a lot like that photo.
So either someone screen capped that, or that really will be the kiosk. I was more excited to read Elite Beat Agents will be downloadable at DS points in the next week! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Looks like these were taken with a camera-phone shot from the hip... Lame.
- JJBagoose, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2"why do people bother speculating "
Duh! because the reason blogs exist are to get people like us to go to them in order to generate ad revenue for the author. - keikun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1the second one looks like a xbox 360 demo station I saw at bestbuy
- ccanni1028, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I work at Target and talked to my rep. They don't get them at their houses, it's at the offices.
- Vampire, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I was told by my local GS that the Nintendo reps that go to the stores have had the demo units sent to their houses to be tested out.
- romainechester, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wiiosk? Wow.. another Wii prefixed word.. cool...
- slackerbox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The second one looks like a blurry photo of the 360 kiosk they use in Best Buy stores.
The thing they're trying to pass off as a Wii sure looks big enough. - Jayeugene, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Anyone else feel the need for an eye exam?

I'm suprised nobody has used the term 'wiiosk' yet. - raindog469, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I'll have you know that it's perfectly possible to be excited about the Wii AND dislike christlickers. And I really don't care whether or not I get dugg down for saying so.
- tchawla, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Nothing but more speculation. Just wait until tomorrow. Sheesh!
- crossers, on 07/23/2008, -0/+0very stupid pics. the worst pics I have ever seen.

- mikepu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Is is me or are articles like this pointless and stupid. Who cares? I'm a total Nintendo whore, and I'm not ashamed to admit. At what point do these uninteresting stories begin to hurt Nintendo. Frankly, I'm tired. I can't be the only one.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -6/+5Wiinii is here again to shower us with his infinite wisdom!

- Feanor, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2More Rumormongering!! Hooray!
- dubmun, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1True, but at least on this site they are not claiming to have all the "facts". Plus those images look pretty credible to me.
- royalwcheese, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3Dude, you really enjoy getting digg'd down.

You want to meet bud? - Topher06, on 10/12/2007, -8/+0Not sure what to say about Virtual Console only having 20 - 25 games at launch. I mean, Nintendo has been going on about how they will offer their entire backlibrary of game support on the Wii. Why trickle out the release of backlibrary games?
It would make much more sense for Nintendo to make the entire backlibrary available at launch, it takes pressure off the need to release lots of new Wii games at launch. In the past Nintendo has been hurt by releasing like 6 games at launch. But with the Wii, even if they release no games at launch, access to old NES, Super NES and N64 games would drive big sales anyways.
I also hope that I don't have to pay $10 to buy games I already own. Hopefully Nintendo might create GamePacks which would be, say $20 for 10 games or something of that nature. Maybe something like the complete Zelda or Mario lineup for $30 or something. I will admit there are litterally thousands of old NIntendo games nobody cares about so why bother even putting them on the virtual console, but if this is a ploy where Nintendo trickles out backlibrary support and charges $10 a pop for old NES games, the Wii may not do as well as I am hoping it will. I mean, they are already fixing prices of games to $70 CDN after telling us that both the console and games will be cheaper, hopefully the pre-release pricing are inaccurate for Wii games.
Nintendo, please don't turn the Wii into a Whyy, as in, Whyy are you ruining a good thing by getting greedy. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -14/+6"you will here everything in regards to " Hear?
I call BS again, ***** site and info.
