destructoid.com — So, the only real choice when it comes to drunk gaming is to invite some buddies over, crack open a few cans and get your system of choice going! Here is a list of top games to play drunk with friends. Feel free to try these out.

I think this afternoon when I get off work I'm going to hook it up and see how good we are at playing WiiPlay and WiiSports while drinking. Gonna try to keep tabs as we go along when playing the games with some scores to see how poorly we get.

      We'll probably find ways to make drinking games out of the games themselves.

      Honestly, i was going to say the same exact thing. How in the HELL did Mario Party 8 not make it? You get 4 people together, all drinking, and play that game and it's nuts.

      Drinking Halo is how I spent 5 years of college. You just increase the respawn time to 10 seconds and you have to drink during the entire respawn. Easy way to get smashed. I have a friend who is always just a little bit better than me...until we are drunk. Own him every time if we are smashed...

    • merreborn, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Letting drunk people play wii games is pretty dangerous. At my brother-in-law's birthday party, someone forgot that, when playing the "Darts" game in Wario Ware, you're not *really* supposed to throw the controller at the television.

      It was a good throw, though. Landed smack in the middle of the screen.

I've wasted most of my first year of University playing it. 4 player, anyone can pick up a controller and join in. and has the one fantastic quality that all multiplayer games should have. very easy to pick up, very difficult to master. it might be an old game, and cost 97p from the supermarket, but its brilliant. We're onto our 6th Disc from wearing the other ones out :D

    there's not even a sports game on this list. fifa? apparently they don't see the fun in living room hooliganism. you're missing out.
    • estvir, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2To amend your post, Fifa Street, it's like Fifa just with more fun/insane factor. I wouldn't play Fifa drunk as I play that somewhat seriously (Like, 2v2 with 3 friends and so on) but Fifa Street adds the whole humiliation factor which adds so much.

    Of coarse the winner of each game had a "victory shot" and the loser would have to drink more "talent juice" to play better.

Then we figured out you could play it in demo mode and keep going even if there was only one person left, but that is not quite as fun as actually having to have two people good at it. The sad thing is the Twisted System like jump duck game in Fuzion Frenzy 2 sucks, it has a time limit which is actually pretty easy to beat when compared to good ol original Fuzion Frenzy.

    It ended up that whoever got 1st place was kicking more ass in 5 rounds.

  • KingGoonie, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1Lol... my friend, her mother and I had some of the mothers home grown wacky tobaccy and played some super mario world (1 or 2 yoshis island, dont remember) and it was among the most fun gaming experiences i ever had lol. Firstly because well... while this was probably at the end of n64 or beginning of gc life, they still stuck with their snes and 2 games they had (mario world 1 & 2) and those are games I hadnt played in years, and secondly... it was a totally different experience then playing it straight lol.

    The game was never so hard... and only because of laughing at the characters lol, or jumping when your not supposed to, or not jumping when your supposed to, etc... it was surreal.

      Ok, we worked together back then, and we had our office Christmas party, so obviously lots of drinking, and she got really schnookered.... Went home and attacked her Boyfriend who was in the middle of playing Madden, I think online. The guy, lol... the guy said "come on man, stop, Im playing madden!!!" lol... like my friend was drunk and throwing herself at him and he was more interested in not turning of his online madden game mid match. So finally she was able to convince him, and he said before he shut it off "fine, but I wan't you to remember this, that im shutting off madden for you!".

      The guy was an ass lol. Thankfully they broke up.

    Works best with 4 players. Players must be drinking 40's. Play on timed 3 minutes, no items (duh). Every time a player gets a kill that player must set down his or her controller and take one drink from the 40 with BOTH hands. At the end of the round 1st place doesn't drink, 2nd drinks 3, 3rd drinks 7, and 4th drinks 10. If more than 4 people wanna play, bottom two switch out. Feel free to play with the round time and amount of drinks for each place at the end of the round.
    This game will get you pretty drunk.

    On the weekend my copy arrived, I decided to have some sompany over for drinks and GH2. 4 hours + a 40oz of Crown Royal later, the exhausted guests went on their merry way :) Just as I was shutting everything down to get some sleep, the appt. buzzer rings. I thought one of the guests forgot something ;-) Turned out someone called the cops on me! Yep... noise complaint. At that point, you could hear a pin drop, so I got a friendly warning, closed the door, and went to bed ;-)

    Thesedays I'm a more considerate neighbour. I guess folks aren't too keen on Lamb of God thumping through the walls ;-)

That franchise would definitely be my number one or at least up there with Warioware because you get the added benefit of seeing your drunk friend flailing around in whatever environment they put them in.     Also wanted to add any kind of multiplayer games where you can ***** with people... lets say BF2, Counterstrike etc.

    6. WarioWare: Tons of Mini games that are a fun challenge, but when you have no idea what's going on it's fun to try to get past level 1.
    5. Gears of War: GUNS AND EVIL BUGS, WOOOOOOO
    4. Guitar Hero 2: Fun to play, tests your alchohol limit.
    3. Wii Sports: You'd probably have your character ramming the tennis racket up his ass if you played this drunk, that's fun to watch the next day.
    2. Halo 2: More guns and more evil creatures, plus cliffs. WOOOOOO!
    1. Super Smash Brothers Melee: Lots of random characters running around hitting each other, let's see if you can beat up a giant monkey drunk.

Younger generations take note, no-one cares about graphical supremacy when you're plastered, blasting the ***** out of each other with small coloured tanks wins every time.

I always think I'm doing sooooo good then all of a sudden i'll fail, pick up the tv, chuck it out the window, then realize i wanna play another round so i go upstairs. Process repeats itself until all tvs are dead.
