Chrono Resurrection needs to be resurrected. Seriouly. Square needs to get off their asses and deliver a true next gen chronotrigger experience.

Black Mesa Source isnt counterfeit, in fact, Valve said that they are happy that the community is remaking their original game and are in much support of the idea

It's a great concept; it'd be nice to apply this to other games as well.

Homebrew ≠ counterfeit

I haven't played most of these, I'm especially looking forward to Black Mesa.

Not that Sony would allow counterfeit games, but as a development and distribution platform, the PSN and the PS3 seem ripe for homebrew games. Once upon a time, EA and Activision were tiny little companies and now they're worth billions because they were there first. They buy their competitors because those competitors cames second.

There's a huge opportunity for dev on the PS3. These people should be thinking about developing for that instead of labours of love making knockoffs.

Grid Wars anyone?

I downloaded and tried the Sonic game mentioned just now. It's pretty good but has some bugs. For example it appears to freeze up every time the music changes like when you become invincible, but if you wait a few seconds it comes back. It does however have the one thing I hated with those games or any platformer for that matter. Bottemless pits where you fall off the bottom of the screen. I'll have to check out the Metroid. Any 2D Metroid is better than what we've got now. Chrono Resurrection looks like it could have been awesome, it's just a shame all of the characters looked like they were straight out of Dragon Ballz.
