    You can't "learn to be a shooter" from playing FPS's. (Hello, it's a mouse and a keyboard, not a real weapon). All the articles that you read about how the military uses them for training soldiers is bunk. They use simulators, but these are full immersion systems (similar to airplane cockpit simulators) and they're carrying real guns.

    Yes, way back in the day, the US Army (or Marines) used a modified version of Doom to teach about squad coverage but hey, these were trained soldiers who already knew how to use a gun.

    The columbine shooters liked to play FPSs (like most teenage boys in the US). They also had lots of guns and spent lots of time shooting those guns out in the woods and stuff. That's what trained them to be shooters, not the games.

    I am working on a map of the town where this happened with a particular focus on the police station and the school there. It's outside in the dirt in front of my office, has square cinnamon toothpicks representing ignorant fascist cops, and regular round toothpicks are school administrators and ignorant parents. The good cops and feds who believe in protecting and serving are out doing real police work, so they aren't represented here - and they get much respect from me.

    - but back to my dirt city and imaginary diabolical plan....Wait till you see the sticks (which represent guns) and the pebbles (which represent bombs) - it's ***** AWESOME! I have a giant dirt clod nuke, and a handful of powerwed sugar - it's my special anthrax. I've also got a lighter and a can of WD40...Good times, good times. My imaginary friends have a fun day ahead of em, let me tell you.

    With this fun map I do whatever I want. Nobody can stop me - and when I feel like it, I'll wipe the ***** place off the face of the earth with a swipe of my foot.

    It's a good thing I live in Canada where this ***** won't happen because I think I have a toolbox with 2 hammers! and nails! and screwdrivers! Heck, I even have knives in my kitchen!
