- valardur, on 01/26/2008, -3/+263Damn you got my hopes up.
I though by some miracle I could see another video review today >.< . - jjgames, on 01/26/2008, -4/+184I have loved pretty much every Zero Punctuation review. They are very funny and spot on reviews too.
- inactive, on 01/26/2008, -6/+146Did you all know that if you google search "silly penis," my digg profile is the third result? That's impressive.
- WhereAmI, on 01/26/2008, -2/+115http://www.google.com/search?q=Silly+penis&ie=utf- ...
My god the man is right. - serverdown, on 01/26/2008, -2/+71The Escapist must be making ***** of money off of him
- Topher06, on 01/26/2008, -6/+63I like these reviews because Yahtzee obviously doesn't pander to the masses or follow the lemming mentality of other game reviewers. I mean, its obvious he will find something wrong with any game, but typically games he finds worthy to praise (those rare few) usually are, while many games that are auto-priased elsewhere (like all those rediculous 10/10 or perfect reviews) because of all the hype around them he tears to bits and he is usually spot on. No game is perfect, all have flaws, lets air them out in the open and not cover them up. Its just awesome when he generally hates a game because he lays into it like nobody else can. Like this weeks "The Witching" review, bang on and the developers of this game should hang their head in shame after his review.
- FXPooky, on 01/26/2008, -1/+48Durr and why, exactly, were you searching for that?
- joehobbes, on 01/26/2008, -1/+48Did I miss something?
- Del129, on 01/26/2008, -3/+49Yahtzee FTW!!
- stephant, on 01/26/2008, -1/+42If you see him playing Team Fortress 2 be sure to say hi. He absolutely loves the attention and discusses it on his blog:
"I like playing Team Fortress 2. It's fun. And if you hang around a server that gets a decent low ping in eastern Australia, there's a chance I may some day join a server that you are on. Should that happen, remember to follow these guidelines:
- Always interrogate me the moment I have one foot in the door as to whether I'm 'the real Yahtzee' or not. Insist I go on voice chat to prove my identity while the enemy busily penetrate our defenses. This will swiftly endear you to me.
- Once my identity is confirmed to your satisfaction, or not, spend the entire game quoting myself at me in all caps in both text and voice chat. It's very gratifying to be reminded that my reviews are very popular and that some of my lines have entered meme territory, and being constantly reminded of this will help my confidence and improve our chances of winning.
- Don't be fooled by my stony silence up to this point - secretly, I'm probably on the verge of inviting you to my next birthday party. Ensure that this happens by adding me to your friends list and trying to open Steam chat with me while I'm in the middle of something important. Obviously since I have total misanthropic hatred for 99% of my fellow man, it's important that I communicate with as many of them as possible to remind myself of why.
- Relish verbally every single time you kill me, because obviously being a gaming industry professional I am some kind of higher order of being, and besting me in a game of skill is a sure sign that you have a valid claim to all the thrones of Europe.
- Remember to get catty when I unexpectedly log off. I'm probably just overwhelmed to the point of tears by the wonderful friends I have made."
Source: http://www.fullyramblomatic.com/ - xb00t, on 01/26/2008, -1/+39I hope he doesn't quit reviewing if he gets to make games. Yahtzee day wont be the same without Yahtzee. :/
- JMilton, on 01/26/2008, -0/+36He's a British bloke living in Australia.
- manitoba98xp, on 01/26/2008, -0/+34If you look at his comment history and then consider how highly ranked Digg is in Google, it rapidly becomes clear why.
- AshamedAmerican, on 01/26/2008, -3/+36He refuses to review Kane & Lynch? Come on man, please? :)
- Gunsotsu, on 01/26/2008, -7/+40"Second only to Penny Arcade?"
I seriously question that. Where Gabe and Tycho get absorbed in their own rabbid fanboyisms, "Yahtzee" remains objective and direct. "Yahtzee" is the king of all reviewers. "Yahtzee" is second to no one. - Sp0rAdiC, on 01/26/2008, -0/+31With no filtering I don't see it at all on the first page, but with Safe Search your profile is the first result. Congrats, I bet you'll make a lot of friends that way.
- deltaanime, on 01/26/2008, -2/+32Twenty minutes. Outside. Puffer fish.
- elipodio, on 01/26/2008, -1/+31Yahtzee is so popular, that you can write an article ABOUT him and still get on the front page.
Awesome. - ReyX, on 01/26/2008, -0/+27You are inferior to 3 Yahtzee?
- inactive, on 01/26/2008, -0/+26I did not know that. Thank you for this information.
- Ajenthavoc, on 01/26/2008, -0/+26I, for a second, started questioning my own perception of time thinking, "How the ***** is it Wednesday already?!".
Then I realized how much ZP defines 1/7th of my week. That right there is a perfect testament to his sheer kickassery. - popltree2, on 01/26/2008, -0/+22He says he is making enough money to keep rent and food and so much left over he doesn't know what to do with it. Apparently he is getting paid a base (I would imagine) plus a certain amount for each hit he generates. Rich bastard. Why didn't I start using Movie Maker and develop a venomous, scathing wit a few years ago?
- KokomoNYC, on 01/26/2008, -1/+23Yahtzee, you charismatic stallion!
- morguth, on 01/26/2008, -2/+24See http://www.wired.com/techbiz/media/news/2008/01/di ...
Basically, 3 of the top diggers weren't too happy about how things were changing and maybe wanted to revolt against digg. So I pretty much bury anything those three submit from now on, no matter the content. - BedPost, on 01/26/2008, -1/+22If you don't like Yahtzee, clearly you're pants on head retarded.
- toshipaine, on 01/26/2008, -4/+25i < 3 Yahtzee
- flamingbird, on 01/26/2008, -2/+22It has to do with some "revolt" thing.
- MadOgre, on 01/26/2008, -0/+20I love the dude so much, I named a cat after him.
- Unremarkable, on 01/26/2008, -0/+20Is it Yahtzeeday already? Oh..
Oh.. - inactive, on 01/26/2008, -0/+19I think the developers of The Witcher were probably took it with great rofling. If I helped design a game, I would consider it an honour to be torn into by Yahtzee.
- dansmeek, on 01/26/2008, -1/+20damn yahtzee must be making a ***** of money too. damn rich brits.
- JMilton, on 01/26/2008, -1/+19The only thing I love more then games is Yahzee's reviews of them.
- Zarokima, on 01/26/2008, -0/+17"Portal is absolutely sublime from start to finish and I will jam forks in my eyes before I use those words to describe anything else ever again. Sure, it's not very funny to like a game but ***** you, Portal is great, and if you don't think so you must be stupid."
- davidrools, on 01/26/2008, -1/+17did anyone else start to hear his voicewhen you read his quotation in the article? I started reading really fast with an accent and emphasizing the last couple words of each sentence.
- popltree2, on 01/26/2008, -0/+16Do people really go to PA for reviews of games? I read the blogs, but I am there for what they have done best all along: the comic.
- Christbait, on 01/26/2008, -0/+15Same here. But I'd love to know if there is actually a game out there called "Show Some Love"
- IronPwnage, on 01/26/2008, -0/+14And on GoogleUK you're the first result...that's pretty damn impressive
- Fortyseven, on 01/26/2008, -1/+15THIS IS A MUMORPUGER! *shock/horror*
- TrevorBradley, on 01/26/2008, -2/+15I'd say trafficwise, Penny Arcade likely wins. I concur on awesomenesswise.
- AshamedAmerican, on 01/26/2008, -0/+13yeah that demo is pretty damn *****. the graphics look like an early PS2 game and the character handles like a stroke victim.
- MacEnvy, on 01/26/2008, -2/+14That seems counterproductive. I think of digg as as place for news first, and personalities second (if at all). If you'd said that you bury their comments, that's fine. However, as long as their submitted articles are interesting, non-dupes, and accurate, I'll digg them. I come here for news. I don't particularly care who submits it, and I'd wager that the average digg user agrees with me.
It's a freaking website for Pete's sake. I care about digg as much as anyone (hell, I've dugg over 8500 stories, which is slightly depressing when I think about it too hard) but many of you - top diggers, middle diggers, whoever - need to quit your bitching. It's a damn website, and they're doing the best they can. If the algorithm is messed up it'll get fixed. If 3 top diggers get together and talk about leaving, and Wired covers it, well then I guess it was a pretty damn slow news day over at Wired. Get some perspective, people.
Okay, I'm done. Carry on. - davidrools, on 01/26/2008, -0/+12For the lazy and/or google impaired:
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/edit ... - gbro, on 01/26/2008, -0/+10I'm picturing a Heavy with 11 medics, or a frustrated spy with 11 medics.
- moocow1452, on 01/26/2008, -0/+9The cake may be a lie, a psychonauts sequel may be a lie, but neither ZP nor Yahtzee are sure as heck not lies.
- inactive, on 01/26/2008, -0/+9yahtzee should tear you up in his next video.
- deadbaby, on 01/26/2008, -5/+14He's a great alternative to these professional video game "journalists" who seem to think even the worst games deserve at least a 6 out of 10. It's almost like you get 5 review points for simply publishing a game with most of these guys. I think they're so caught up in the industry they forget that normal people don't have the time or money to blow on crappy games. It's easy to give a bad game a decent review when you don't have to pay $60 for it.
- coldeve, on 01/26/2008, -1/+9He couldn't think of anything bad to say about Portal though.
- SaxxonPike, on 01/26/2008, -3/+11Dugg for ZP and Yahtzee
- inactive, on 01/26/2008, -0/+8Yahtzee must be making ***** of money off The Escapist.
- inactive, on 01/26/2008, -0/+7He was born British, but he currently lives down under.

What is Digg?
