oh by the way if you you get lost the dagger is in the maze with the rolling bolder - Harabeck, on 10/12/2007, -2/+48But does it make the cool *swish* when you swing it?
- DannyBoy7783, on 10/12/2007, -1/+46No, funny thing though, they don't mention it there, but when the guy opened the shipping box the LoZ "new item" noise played. Weird!
- Dunadan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+38Monolith2 meet the Zelda series, Zelda series meet Monolith2. I'm sure you two are going to get along just great and will be spending hours at a time together before you even know it.
- millixaw, on 10/12/2007, -0/+33Now go make a working Hookshot.

"When we read that Paul Hantschel, one of our forum users, owns a real-life replica of the famous Master Sword from the Legend of Zelda series"
Very first sentence of the article. Get off Digg. - Dorkbot101, on 07/15/2009, -0/+26well, as a blacksmith, i can´t think of any geek who could produce those kinds of results without being... a blacksmith. Bladework is an art, and if you look at the smith´s site, you´ll see that he´s spent many years perfecting his style.
I´d like to see you make one better. - eziril, on 10/12/2007, -1/+193,300 is about 147,311.998 in Rupees. http://finance.yahoo.com/currency/convert?amt=3300&from=USD&to=INR&submit=Convert
- highfructose, on 10/12/2007, -0/+18Will it shoot a replica of itself when my hearts are full?
- KickyG, on 10/12/2007, -4/+18monolith, have u been living under a rock since '81? its from the Legend of Zelda series, which is pretty old, at least by video game series standards. come out of your cave.
- vsujohn2, on 10/12/2007, -2/+15I'd love to see a full scale biggoron sword.... that would be badass
- ReRush, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14147,312 Rupees? Looks like I'll be needing to upgrade my Rupee bag...
*hunts down tingle* - DannyBoy7783, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Also, I think it looks 100 times better than this sword: http://digg.com/gaming_news/Real_life_Master_Sword_(Legend_of_Zelda)_on_eBay_
- marioluigi123, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Here...you need an http
http://duggmirror.com - knightblade2oo4, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11hopefully im rich enough to use ***** like this.
- schadenfreude56, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Damn... guess I either gotta see a great fairy or collect a bunch golden skulltulas to get that wallet upgrade...
- scuba7183, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8@Monolith2
I've never even played a Zelda game and I know what Master Sword is - pjsk8, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I'd like to see the Fierce Deity sword in real life.
- daedalus1982, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8awesome, pure and unrefined awesome
- MrMxyzptlk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I totally saw one just like that in the Lost Woods the other day, but I didn't have all three magic pendants. :(
- Drehmini, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6http://www.trueswords.com/buster-sword-full-tang-p-2093.html
Not quite sure on how great that site is (pretty inexpensive) - Danin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6No, but since it's an Ocarina-style Master Sword it will suck all the light out of the sky to power up a huge spin attack.
But only after you get your magic gauge unlocked. - contextclouds, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6You might try cutting bushes or smashing pottery.
I hear that's where all the good money is these days. - MrStabby, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7It needs to be packaged with a little miniature version of it that you can hold above your head when you first recieve it...
...spinning and glowing in its own little...coolness - Chaoswing, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Monolith2 --> The Master Sword appears to be one of the most famous swords in video game history. Welcome to our world man!!
- DannyBoy7783, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Sure, just make sure the wrist strap doesn't snap.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5http://media.xiinet.com/music-browser/view.php?file=Nintendo%2064/Legend%20of%20Zelda%20Ocarina%20of%20Time/08%20-%20Item%20Catch.mp3
:) - Jolene, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4It doesn't look too far off from highly polished carbon steel. I've got a carbon steel pirate cutlass, and it looks pretty close, but I can't be sure. If it is Stainless, he got ripped off. Sure, he has a really cool replica, but he can't use it without really beating it up.
- Dayyve, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Yeah but who cares - it would look pretty freakin' cool up on my wall in my game room. If I went running around with the thing thinking I was Link well then I'd expect to get beat up pretty bad.
- geniusNOTatWORK, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5whoa, this recreation makes that ebay one look like a piece of *****
- cyclonesworld, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Can I use this to play WiiSports also?
- Splitt3rxx, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5nice sword, hopefully I am rich some day so I can buy ***** like this.
- everfalling, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3i remember years ago when Zelda OoT came out, there was an ad in the Nintendo Power mag that sold real ceramic Ocarinas that you could play, painted blue and everything.
- tehjames, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2OH man, how badass would it be if some world leader started calling himself Ganon, and some crazy ass modern neo-nazi war broke out and this sad emo kid saved us all using this kickin beasty of a sword....I think thats the ONLY way you could improve on Twilight Princess.
Anyway, all fantasies aside, that sword look fan-effin-tastic.
Very cool, and I would buy a cheap $30 replica at the local fair on the spot. - AceTracer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2$3300 doesn't seem all that much for a custom made broadsword though. Not that I'm privy to that market.
- Manguskahn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I need to use that and dice up my shrubs in hopes of getting those rupees. "It's dangerous to go alone!"
- UltimaNut, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"Yeah but who cares"
People who actually know something about smithy and bladed weapons do. The sword looks like it belongs as the centerpiece for a late night infomercial. They usually throw in a full samurai set for free. Junk... - Klarth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Heh, I know the guy who owns this - He's a moderator at a forum I used to frequent. Small world, pretty cool.
- otomoton, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Well as a professional blacksmith I'm sure he has a waiting list for work, making swords etc is not a fast process if you want quality.
- Majin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2it does if u believe it does XD
totly awsome - levyjl1988, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Cool, but isn't it suppose to be purple?
- estacado, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1My sorcerer can craft wonderous item. NWN2 FTW!
- Soniti, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Did anyone else notice that the guard on the "finished" product was chrome...?
It's blue on the real master sword...
~Soniti - OpCzar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah, this has been done many times before. But hey, anything to keep the Nintendo spirit alive, eh?
- culbeda, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"Sword of Legend"?
That's not Soul Calibur! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4When he opened the FedEx box that the sword was shipped in, it made this sound - http://media.xiinet.com/music-browser/view.php?file=Nintendo%2064/Legend%20of%20Zelda%20Ocarina%20of%20Time/08%20-%20Item%20Catch.mp3
- HappyScrappy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Can he make me a +5 stabbity bastard sword?
- geniusNOTatWORK, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://shop.songbirdocarina.com/Zelda-Ocarinas/Ocarina-of-Time-replica/
- everfalling, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1now they need to make link's shield. the mirror shield would be bad ass...
