- bdub92, on 01/24/2008, -1/+67That game with the cart sounds awesome, cant wait to get back into TF2
- robuk24, on 01/24/2008, -2/+64I have a good feeling Valve are not about to ruin TF2 with these changes. Can't wait to try them out.
- Naryuu, on 01/24/2008, -1/+44damnit now we're gonna have entire teams of medics trying to test/unlock the new weapon...
- latroxx, on 01/24/2008, -2/+39Need a dispenser here Need a dispenser here Need a dispenser herea
- spunkz, on 01/24/2008, -4/+33I still think the Engineers should get the Portal weapon.
- ledguitar, on 01/24/2008, -1/+28This game is absolutely perfect already but if an update is coming, I am happy to see it. I only hope that the new update will not hurt the flow and balance of the game.
- MAGZine, on 04/22/2008, -0/+27Just don't kill the goose, Valve. That is all I ask.
- lordwow, on 01/24/2008, -1/+27Oh no, PC Only! The 5 of us playing on XBL are pissed!
- jsherlock, on 01/24/2008, -0/+23what I can't wait to see is what the do to the Pyro....60ft flame thrower ftw? Hadoken?
- vex67, on 01/24/2008, -1/+23I like updates... but I don't know how I feel about having to unlock them. One of the best parts about this game is that everyone is on an equal footing all the time. Another great part is that if my team needs an offensive boost I can quickly go scout, sniper for defense etc. If I don't have things unlocked for these classes I won't be as effective. Oh well, I trust Valve.
- mattfugitive, on 01/24/2008, -1/+15Can't wait for the new TF2 Update. Bring it on!
"MEDIC!!!" - Gneekman, on 01/24/2008, -1/+15I play Medic all the time (well, that and Pyro) so I'm really excited.
And I think unlockables are a great idea, so new players can get used to the basic class configuration before moving onto the advanced equipment. - SteveColebourne, on 01/24/2008, -0/+12How can you possibly say that when you the updates haven't been released... at least give them a chance!
Personally, I think updates/changes/additions are all brilliant... they keep you on your toes, forcing you to adapt your gameplay, thus keeping the game fresh. Kudos to Valve... many developers would've walked away, already happy with the sales figures of the Orange Box. - r3574r7, on 01/24/2008, -1/+12Great game is about to get even better.
- jcsw, on 01/24/2008, -0/+11Engineers should have an Portal Gun
- kevyn, on 01/24/2008, -0/+10I agree, I'm slightly concerned about entering a game with a bunch of people who have all unlocked the new gear. What happens if blu suddenly have a team with all the unlocks and red have a team with no new stuff? will the auto balance feature kick into play?
- bobsbones, on 01/24/2008, -3/+12Cool, but I wish they would show DoD:S a fraction of the love and attention they are lavishing on TF2.
- anotherjeff, on 01/24/2008, -0/+9two way teleporters would be nice.. or land mines.
- bluemist, on 01/24/2008, -2/+10This is incredibly huge. First it's the Medic that gets 30+ achievements, so it would be fair that the other characters get their own sets too. That makes for a potentially whopping 250+ achievements to mindlessly collect, and with that they unlock new gameplay styles for each character? Then two new maps?
All this time it is as if TF2 is still on BETA (typical Valve). Despite that I'm already having a blast so far, and so these improvements will only give much more replayability. - anotherjeff, on 01/24/2008, -0/+8erectin' a dispenser
- Sensai, on 01/24/2008, -0/+8Need a teleporter here!
- ruyz, on 01/24/2008, -0/+8rookie, lol.
- chadlewis76, on 01/24/2008, -0/+8That's kinda the point. There are never enough medics.
- coolgangsta, on 01/24/2008, -0/+7I'm thinking the dynamite the demo swung around in the original trailers will reappear since it wasn't included in the game.
- Hartley1942, on 01/24/2008, -0/+7Man I love torching those damn Medics.
- inactive, on 01/24/2008, -0/+7I literally just bought Orange Box today from Steam, and just spent my first few hours playing TF2. I've been playing BF2 for about 3 years, and the first thing I thought when I started playing was, why are there no unlocks? The funny part is, TF2 came out almost 3 or so years after BF2, but TF2 runs much better on my pc. crazy.
- ruyz, on 01/24/2008, -0/+7steam is great man.. dont hate because you cant do basic troubleshooting, or at worst format your computer.
- Kev0, on 01/24/2008, -0/+7Great, now people are going to boost for achivements.
Atleast you get something out of it instead of some numbers that do nothing for you. - NiGHTSChao, on 01/24/2008, -2/+9They already have that pretty much, just in a simpler sense
- YojimboJango, on 01/24/2008, -0/+6Quit calling for a medic when you're not hurt. I'm busy healing this heavy after the 4th time he stepped into a turret.
- logicalnoise, on 01/24/2008, -1/+7all thats required is an official MS storage unit whether it be a HDD or 256/512mb memory card. It could be offered as an expansion rather than a patch. Actually yes it would have to be an expansion MS only allows patches to be up to 4mbs in size.
- briguyd, on 01/24/2008, -1/+6No, that's the pont. Nades complicated gameplay. TF2 is simple to pick up and play... and have fun.
- edilclyde, on 01/24/2008, -0/+5i cant wait for the engineer modifications.. i hope it will be like upgrades for the sentry gun, like you get to choose only one of the upgrade like example A) extra armor but weaker guns B) built in flame thrower but easier kill on sap C) more guns but weaker armor d) manual shooting but no rockets.... kinda like that... where you make choices depending on how the game is going. just giving some opinions..
- dawgma, on 01/24/2008, -0/+5Hadoken, yes!!
Or perhaps when you set someone on fire, they can transfer the flames to other teammates if they touch? - danwallace, on 01/24/2008, -0/+5I hope not.
- timdorr, on 01/24/2008, -0/+5The engy shotty is dangerous. You just don't know how to use it right.
And you don't need to be tied to your particular sentry. Play as a team and your teammates should heal yours for you. - statikuz, on 01/24/2008, -0/+5Huh? Maybe if you wrote about the particular problem you're having people would offer some help. It seems to work great for me.
- danwallace, on 01/24/2008, -1/+6You been smokin' crack, boy?
- danwallace, on 01/24/2008, -0/+5Spy's sappin' mah sentry.
- Recluse, on 01/24/2008, -0/+4I'm partial the pyros muffled ramblings, they still make me laugh.
- inactive, on 01/24/2008, -0/+4A stalemate means nothing more than: The classes are balanced, and so are the teams.
- AwesomeMonster, on 01/24/2008, -0/+4bring back disease.
- Cerebral, on 01/24/2008, -0/+4Yes and in COD4 it is unbalanced if you are say a level 25 and don't have a P90 or 3 frags... makes a world of a difference.
- inactive, on 01/24/2008, -0/+4wow im ***** pumped, gimme gimme
also may i remind you that this came with 4 other games for 50 bucks, meaning this game is probably worth 10 bucks. Pretty insane seeing the amount of effort put into it. - vex67, on 01/24/2008, -0/+4They're going to have to glue you back together... in hell!
Thanks for standing still, wanker. - ledguitar, on 01/24/2008, -1/+5Uber medic + Heavy = Game Over.
- groceryheist, on 01/24/2008, -1/+5I hope they improve the flow and balance! It is not perfect just way more close to perfect than anything in its class. The flow is imperfect as there are situations where it can be impossible to advance without resorting to mass ubers which are very difficult to attain on pub servers.
since this game is designed for public 1st clan 2nd this is an issue - vex67, on 01/24/2008, -0/+4I did read the article, it just didn't really say all that much.
- ledguitar, on 01/24/2008, -1/+5Yeah the abundance of stalemates do suck. I meant that I think that the classes are very balanced and that I'm afraid this may unbalance it.
- Recluse, on 01/24/2008, -0/+4Yeah that's not too unbalanced or anything...
