I speak for many when I say please... just stop. You're not going to get anywhere, and your blatant fanboyism and ignorance isn't very becoming. This is a thread about PGR3, not PS3 Vs. 360.
Go do something, just stop flamebaiting. - ParmMann, on 10/12/2007, -2/+22The weather system sounds like a very nice addition! PGR3, Forza 2, PGR4, Forza 3, PGR5, Forza 4....I could get used to this.
- edge10, on 10/12/2007, -2/+17Will we get a new Geometry Wars?
- dMinor04, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14Dreamcast was the *****. How dare you sir. How dare you...
- kriegs, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14From the sounds of it, it appears they're going back to their glory days of PGR2. More locations sounds great.
- deMonkey, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14I always wanted to drive an Enzo in the snow. Now I may get my chance. :)
- negativefx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8what about colin mcrae? realistic damage on real cars...
- Adgeman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Dude; I'm a big Sony fan but even I'm getting sick of this. Welcome to my block list.
- xdevit, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11strictnein :
All are FTW..
PaiZuri :
Forza 2 does 1080p and 60fps also.
And everyone knows that PGR3 was rushed out and crippled by many things yet it still is a very nice looking game
My PS1 and PS2 were bought only for GT, and Im sure ill end up with a PS3 just for GT5. The only thing that has me iffy is the fact that they are going to make it a pay to play game. The whole you have to pay over $1000USD just to have the full game doesn't settle with me. - DrewBlood, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7See now you stepped over the line. I'm actually not involved in this stupid console war at all. I've owned all 4 last gen consoles but haven't settled on any of the new systems yet. By insulting the Dreamcast (the most fun console of the last gen) you just lost any credibility with me, a potential PS3 buyer.
- NCg8r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I love PGR3 and it's one of the only racing games I've ever played for more than 10 mins. I'll try PGR4 just off of the strength of PGR3. However, I'll admit that the lack of car damage irks me as well... But then I'm the kinda guy whose favorite FPS is Soldier of Fortune 2.
- Beakerz, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Yo momma's so fat...
- arunforce, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8LOL, last time I checked, the PS3 "elite" was $599, not $699. :)
- JayD16, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5@xdevit
You're thinking of GTHD that was going to be GT4 with HD textures and you bought pieces of the game if you didn't want to spend the time unlocking everything. That idea was scrapped pretty fast though.
In the end they just decided to give it to everyone for free and work on GT5...GT5 isn't going to nickel and dime you. - andydumi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Still only 10 locations though, which means a slew of "short version", reverse and so forth on the same tracks over and over.
- Dochtuir, on 10/12/2007, -5/+9Car manufacturers wouldn't approve the use of their cars if they are going to be smashed to bits in a crash. Despite how realistic it is. I guess they don't want people realizing that they're not invincible machines or something. I'm guessing that's why games like Burnout don't use real names.
- kauko, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4"Im sure ill end up with a PS3 just for GT5. The only thing that has me iffy is the fact that they are going to make it a pay to play game. The whole you have to pay over $1000USD just to have the full game doesn't settle with me."
Where have you been lately? This "you have to buy every single car and track in GT5!" was just a rumour or one of Crazy-Ken's ridiculous plans and it has been dismissed already many, many times.
The GT5 that will eventually be released will indeed be a full game with lots of tracks and cars. Which, of course, doesn't mean that there couldn't be downloadable extra car packs etc. just like there was for PGR3. - hoopers, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7Also, notably missing, accurate damage modeling similar to Burnout.... Sorry, but if I slam in to a wall at 100 I expect more than scratched paint. It should not be acceptable to literally bounce around corners and off guard rails. That said, I've always enjoyed the series and will pick this up...once it's a platinum game. $20 yes....$60 no.....not without damage modeling....
- CrownSeven, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Anybody check out PaiZuri's profile? He fits the definition of a 'fanboy' perfectly, added to ignore list.
- kauko, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4"Also, notably missing, accurate damage modeling similar to Burnout.... Sorry, but if I slam in to a wall at 100 I expect

I'm sure PGR4 will have visual damage just like PGR2 and PGR3. I think it's sufficient, as PGR series have never been simulators, but more like semi-serious arcade racers (but not nearly as arcade as Burnout, Ridge Racer or NFS) with surprisingly good driving physics. I think PGR2 is still the best console racer ever thanks to its excellent no-***** Xbox Live online play and "easy to pick up but hard to master perfectly" feel.
If you want accurate damage modeling and more realism in general, get Forza 2. If you want even more realism down to the point where you can kill your engine by over revving it, you'll probably be better off playing on PC (GTR maybe?). But yeah, I really do hope that wall riding is not possible anymore in PGR4. - Penn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2If you don't feed the trolls they'll ***** off. Ignore the Sony fan boys and they won't respond with any more words of wisdom. Digg has a bury feature for a reason, use it and don't reply. Anyway back to PGR4. They will need to do a lot to top test drive unlimited in regards to a pure "realistic" driving experience.
I played PGR3 to death, the online aspect was fantastic for a launch game but the track only racing did get a bit tedious after repeating them over and over and over. Test drive introduced something on the 360 we'd never had before on any console.
True realism and true freedom. You have a 1000km of island roads to do what the hell you want with. Ye it was a pain in the arse that you had to buy the hardcore mode in the end, but my god it is amazing. No other driving game offers the kind of driving experience whether you are using the pad or the new force feedback Microsoft wheel. Traffic is random, and so are the online players. You could do a U-Turn and drive back down the same road and every bit of traffic could be different or the best part, any online player could be with you in that area.
Cruising along at 150mph, flooring it and gunning past some poor bastard on a bike only to hear them screaming at you over voice comms is ***** PRICELESS.
What will PGR4 offer that can tear me away from the infinite driving possibilities of test drive? Let's hope PGR4 is something REALLY special.
P.S. I don't work for Atari, i just ***** love test drive! - rowlodge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2halo like matchmaking?...id like to get in one race that they didnt boot me. maybe i can get some hours into it, this time.
- liquilife, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5What the hell is going on here? Looking at the Digg comments is just like going to shoot pool at any place that doesn't serve alcohol. It's stuffed full of kids. I mean, what adult in their right mind would call any of the current consoles a "noob box" or think of the Xbox360 as having ***** graphics? I understand that people will have a favorite console... but c'mon.
PaiZuri, your comments are so lame I'm just putting you on ignore. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2wow looks like payzuri is getting payed by sony to spit *****.
go pay 600 dollars for 2 games. good job. - shadowpr0ph3t, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@PaiZuri
And your probably someone who has been playing a ps2 for god knows how long. And your bitching about resolutions... - WiZZLa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"what adult in their right mind would call any of the current consoles a 'noob box'"
One mimicking the language of the current demographic of cette console, including the one with auto-aim or the one that's aimed toward "14 year olds and old people." - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1
"I'll give PS3 driving games...since GT is probably the best racing series of all time"
Xbox has two awesome racing series'. Playstation has one decent attempt at "simulation" yet if fails in many respects. - Dgen_X, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Dude....wow....here's a tip....throw away your keyboard.
You are a retard, seeing a 360 story really revved you up that much? Couldn't stand seeing console news of another type?
Enjoy your PS3, it may have been the console of choice for me but mommy and daddy don't pay for my games anymore, and $365ish total (Frankenstein premium...) sounded better than $500 for the same + features I wouldn't use right now, blu-ray...wifi (have my place wired w/cat 5 anyway)...and free online play...
but thanks for your input...and you made me waste my time typing all this to basically say...you're blocked - oojamaflip2006, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think i'm going to filter out digg articles that contain the word 'fanboy' from now on
- Dgen_X, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wow...dude....you're not 14 years old?
wtf... - nreynolds, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2i don't want a job.... can I have an internship?
- gwolf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I rarely block anyone but PaiZuri will be an exception.
- desqjockey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Until xbox (or ps3) lets you use real USB racing wheels like TSW im just not interested in consoles.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1This game is in Forbes TOP 10 of games with cars ! Here is the TOP http://www.carsdealernet.com/2007/03/30/top-10-video-games-with-cars/
- xenovis, on 10/12/2007, -5/+5My Gears of War, Ghost Recon 2, Rainbow Six Vegas, look great on my 360 running at 1080p and i'm sure PGR4 will too. Perhaps you would like to read which system is more powerful graphically, 1.(a designed from the ground up video interface) 2.(a shoved in at the last minute Nvidia mobile card). Go enjoy playing the games I finished last year, on your PS3.

- Dgen_X, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1sorry, but you've got it a bit wrong...GTA series should also be up in the 360 category...along with DVDs...since it too plays dvds...
I'll give PS3 driving games...since GT is probably the best racing series of all time - lolo2007, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0What the hell is going on here? - daridave, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3"Forza too ***** ugly to care what rez it's running at"
WTF. Ugly? I'm starting to believe that thos "masturbation will make you blind" claimes are more true than I tought.
Seriously, you're a f*cking fanboy, aren't you? Just stop it. That game looks very good, and btw 720p is 1280x768, so get your ***** together, idiot. Forza is also a steady/smooth 60fps, so if you really do care about the textures on the leifs of those trees while you race, you OBVIOUSLY didn't get the point of a "racing" at all.
You're supposed to go FAST and concentrate on the road, dumbass, not watch the sceneries. If you think a racing game is broken because the scenery isn't picture-perfect... well yeah, I can understand why you're living in your dream world ! - waterdrop, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I sure hope Forza 2 and PGR4 are really good that way I won't be forced into buying a PS3 for Gran Turismo 5. I have always loved Gran Turismo, and I usually play through 85%+ of those games. I am new to the Xbox side of things with the Xbox 360 after seeing that it too was getting GTA IV same day as PS3, so I decided to get the 360 instead of the PS3. I really don't want to purchase a PS3 just for Gran Turismo 5, but I may end up doing so if Forza 2 isn't that good.
- WiZZLa, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2..and in the end you're all playing a "noob" box arguing over graphics and options that have been available for years on another system.
Please carry on, it's entertaining. - bmac3, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1PGR3 was awesome , PGR4 is gonna rock
Now im waiting on buying a PS3 for one reason ,
Rumble is the ***** , to game you need some form of rumble ..
back to EVE now... - swifty12, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2PS3 has rumble now. They settled that court issue. Gran Turismo HD just had an update with an early version of rumble in it.
- vr6vdub, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1uhhh...what about Forza. Last I recalled they were all licensed cars. Dugg down for not knowing what you're talking about.
- cantroll, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0i concur
- krasht, on 10/12/2007, -7/+4@ PaiZuri:
I do prefer my PS3 over my Xbox 360, but come on. PGR3 is a game I have on my Xbox 360 and it's pretty damn good. It's not always about the res. Gameplay > Resolution any day no matter what system. - Ocelot13, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2hey ps3 fanboy, since you dont liek the 360, dont post comments about 360 stuff
